My first experience was about 90-days ago with Dr. Mitchell, my dog has been experiencing complications and vomiting for over 2-years. We have been to every specialist.Dr. Mitchell is caring, gentle and kind with my dog. I now am taking all of my dogs to her and the rest of the team.I was told this vet was very expensive, in my opinion they are in line with all of the others I have visited and have an incredible staff.

When I walked in I was thoroughly impressed. It was so clean and professional! The staff was friendly and busy, which is a great sign! The availability of some products on display, but not overbearing! The entire staff that I interacted with over my visit had a smile or a great attitude! My dog had an ear issue and they let me get a coffee (provided!) while they fixed up my baby girl! I love it there! My dog was not stressed out at all by any of the atmosphere!

Jess is always so sweet and helpful. Dr. Shumate is the best! She's personable and so caring. We love seeing her and having her take care of our pups. The ladies at the front desk are always nice and make you feel welcome. Great place!!

Love this place! Great staff!They send reminders for my pets Fisher the cat and Quiver my ten year old long coat Chihuahua when shots are due. They have their own website store that beats Chewys prices. Highly recommend!

Each member of the medical team was very professional, efficient and attentive to our fur baby. They listened with interest and demonstrated gentleness and patience which was very calming and reassuring. They contacted us the following day to see how Jordan was. I was very pleased with the care we received.

Excellent experience. A nervous pitty who’s a big baby and needed an allergy shot. Yup tree pollen allergy shot 🤣 conducted in waiting room with a peanut butter treat. One happy boy… he loves you guys ❤️

My moms dog injured his leg over the weekend. Her usual vet couldn’t see him until Thursday. My moms recently been diagnosed with stage four cancer and has enough to deal with without watching her beloved doggy suffer unnecessarily for longer than he has to. I called all our local vets but got the same story. Out of desperation i called Bonnie Brae, and much to my surprise i was given an immediate appointment! The vet and everyone else was kind and compassionate and we all felt very welcomed and comfortable there. Also I’m a cat person and i absolutely love that they have separate facilities for cats and dogs. A few months back one of my kitties developed a urinary tract infection and the vet i rushed her to, although they took care of her, kept her crated above a yappy dog and as a result she was terrified and wouldn’t eat. In the future, all my pets will be going to Bonnie Brae. I will recommend it to everybody!

The entire staff, including the veterinarian and vet tech and the front desk. Are Absolutely excellent. Did not expect them to do all my dogs as I only had an appointment for one of them but they helped me out and got everything done. Our dog Luna was sick and we just moved to the area so we didn’t have a vet established yet. I called BBVH and was scheduled right away that morning, showed up early and was taken right in to a room, the vet was incredible and so was her tech. I’ve never had a vet get on the floor with my dog for the exam. Luna is usually a nervous dog at the vet and she was incredibly relaxed the entire time. We put a plan together to basically treat Luna at home, no tests were pushed on me, nothing other than just talking and finding the best option for our Luna girl. I am so pleased and so happy to have found this vet office. Thank you for taking care of us!

We have recently relocated to WNC and needed a new vet for our pup. Every experience we have had at Bonnie Brae has been great! We have seen Dr. Fitch and Dr. Buchanan a couple times previously. This time it was a last minute appt due to a paw injury on our dog and we saw Dr. McClure, she knew her stuff and was very professional. We always recommend Bonnie Brae to friends and neighbors.

We had an emergency with our 7 mo.-old puppy. We were able to take her to Bonnie Brae and was seen by a vet within 20 minutes of my initial call. After an exam and bloodwork it was determined our puppy was going to be okay.

My leash-trained cat ate something toxic in a garden. We were 30 minutes away and they were the closest. They were really kind and took great care of her. It was a very scary experience but they made it easy on us. I was so pleased with taking Jack to Bonnie Brae in Columbus, NC. Dr. Etter was just AMAZING. All the staff was friendly and great with my Shi tzu Jack. Again I can't say enough about Dr. Etter. His demeaner with the animals and his kindness with animals and their people speaks volumes as to how much he loves what he does. Thank you to the staff and to him as well. Jack is doing wonderful and will be 10 in June with many more years to go. If I could give higher than a 5 I would :)

I could not recommend bonnie brae high enough. Every single staff interaction I have here is met with kindness, care, and confidence. I would trust these peopleWith my own health, let alone my dogs who, let's be honest, are my entire world. The communication, fear free practices, and high level care is unmatched. We see Dr. Buchanan and love him. He always seems to remember us and all of our babies, regardless of how many he must see daily. We don't feel like just another paying customer here. Our dogs are in the best hands.

Yesterday was my first time bringing in my pup. Everyone was awesome! Dr Etter was fantastic. I felt like his opinions were entirely honest and genuine. He had no agenda to "sell" me anything or offer any service that wasn't necessary. Cassidy (I think that was her name) was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
