Visited the Colfax NC location today. It was a pleasant surprise to have such friendly service and great atmosphere to shop in here. Cashier 306681 is a beautiful energy. I look forward to my next visit here.... Oh ya, plenty of deals and a great clearance area..... Holiday Season and they have plenty of merchandise on sale. Winter is gonna be very different this year. So get your 23,800 BTU kerosene heater on sale for 149.00 normally 179.00 now. And Propane heaters asap. 5 gallon kerosene fuel cans 32.00. Do say I didn't warn you! Plenty on shock....

We had a few issues when it came to finding the price on a couple things and it was a bit irritating that when we finally found someone to help us they made it seem like we were irritating them because they were to bust chit chatting with one another. Made it seem like we didn't matter.

It was on sale and my vehicle is in for repairs. I kept telling myself it will be off sale. I finally had to pay the shipping fee. Hurt but the sale off would have been also.

Working out of town and found out I needed a lock out tag out lockset. I tried every tool, hardware, and safety supply that I could find but no one had it. I stopped at Northern Tool and they didn’t have it either. However, Sol in customer service helped me find one on Amazon (that didn’t show up in my own search) that I could get delivered the next day. Sol saved my bacon! She went above and beyond - that is what exceptional customer service looks like!! Thank you Sol!!!!

Better service at Walmart, every employee scurried away like a cockroach when I tried to get a price on an item and acted like I was a huge inconvenience for being in the store. I will never give them any of my money.

It is unusual to walk in a store for the first time and hear someone say "Good morning, can I help you?". That person was Jennifer. Her smile and willingness to help me meant everything.She listened to what I needed, and said "follow me and I'll take you back there". She took my small chainsaw back to the repair shop, and asked the technician to sharpen my blade. About 15 minutes later, he came out and handed me a finished job.Good customer service is becoming rare. I give Jennifer at Northern Tool in Colfax, NC an A+ for making me feel at home. She set the tone with cheerful helpfulness. I appreciate that kind of treatment, and I'll return to this store.

Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very engaging. Called ahead to check availability for an impact wrench, within a minute of entering the store the front desk already had a sales rep in the Milwaukee aisle pulling my purchase for me. This will be my go-to location in the future.

Good store, we’ll organized and room to move. Typically have a good selection of items. They have a bigger selection online that can be shipped to the store for free for pickup. Good location, but leaving the parking lot is terrible.

This is nothing to do with the employees. But this was the third time I had looked online for something. Website showed the location to have multiple of what I was looking for. Travel 45 minutes just to find out they did not have any. Try to call on phone and your lucky to get to talk to someone.

Easy enough to find what I was looking for and order.Could have picked up at the store in 2 hours, but I have a lot going on, so I had it delivered. Delivery charge wasn't too expensive, and it will be here in a few days.Since it wasn't time-critical, it was a simple "get it done and forget it" kind of thing.Now I can move on to other things and not worry about this item.

Customer service at its worst! Our business ordered several items online and had them shipped to this location for pickup. After multiple calls, we were offered the option to pick up the items in stock and come back later for the back ordered ones. A couple months went by with us calling them often to hear that the back ordered items were still in transit. Today I called the store and found out the items were returned because no one picked them up. It would have been nice for someone to call us and inform us of this. We have been doing all of the calling. To top it off the manager is rude and very sarcastic on the phone. Not much care for the customer at this location. Northern used to be a good store but we are done!

At the present time I am rather irritated with the Colfax Store. Tonight the experience I have had has been rather bad. I have bought 14 or more Tires and wheels for my utility trailers and tonight I had two tires to blowout on one of my trailers. My son was in Greensboro so I called the store and was told they had the tires in stock so I told them my son would come pick them up. When he got there I was told I had to order them on line and choose store pickup so he could get them tonight. That option was not available online. Even calling corporate they couldn't help place the order. The company I work for spends thousands there on equipment. Very upset with the poor quality of management.
