They say they offer emergency services but when I called for an injured cat I was told they have nothing for weeks ... I guess it's who you know ... Pretty common treatment of new clients for this entire area

First- My first encounter was no good and I wasn't impressed. That was coming from a clinic in Chesapeake. However, when our Harley boy was sick, they worked him right in and called to check on him a day later. Michelle is amazing and does a fantastic job managing the front desk. No matter what the issue is, they always work you in. Dr. Powell, nothing short of amazing! You can really tell she loves the animals. Even though the worst thing might be happening to your furry one, they always seem to reassure you.

Very good with animals and customers! I got 3 animals that I brought in to be spayed/neutered and they handled all with love and care. Also, I was so nervous about pricing but it was not bad at all for all that they have done for my fur babies. I highly recommend this place.

So thankful we were referred to this wonderful vet by our family, especially since we are from out of state and didn't know who to take our little dog to for a critical dental emergency. I've been taking my older cat to Powellsville Pet Clinic for over a year now and always feel that Zoe and I are in great hands. Everyone at this clinic truly loves animals. Dr. Powell is extremely knowledgable and extremely caring. I had to page her one night concerning Zoe and she called me within 15 minutes and talked with me about what I could do to make Zoe more comfortable. By morning we were both feeling better! VERY skilled vet and VERY caring staff. Dr. Powell is licensed to care for wild life as well. I once took an injured vulture to her after being laughed out of another vet office when I brought him in (Gates County Animal Clinic). Dr. Powell has since taken care of a squirrel I rescued as well as my kittens. Highly recommend.

Her team and Her have saved the day for us many times. I live in Chesapeake, Va and literally would rather drive to her in NC (Hr and A Half Away) than deal with anyone in Virginia. Dr Cheryl Powell was the nicest veterinarian I have ever taken a pet to.I was "worked " in on Monday morning .The receptionist Michelle didnt want to make me wait in case my pet Buddy was in alot of pain.Dr Powell never rushed and took over 20 minutes in the examining room. She is very knowledgeable.When I checked out I was so suprised at the bill. They are so fair and reasonable.If you ever need a top notch vet that also seems to love all animals I strongly recommend Dr PowellOh did I mention my pet was a chicken ? Most vets woulnt even see him .I drove 40 miles and it was worth the drive .

They would see my dog when nobody else would. It was an emergency & my long time vet ( of 20 yrs ) refused emergency treatment but Powellsville Pet Clinic did not turn me away. Thank goodness for them.

We have needed her twice on an emergency basis , one incident was so bad that it was life and death situation and she is approximately 10 miles from our house, we were told to call another vet that doesn’t even come this far. The horse was actively bleeding puddles of blood and we did not have access to our truck which had the 5th wheel hitch in it for our trailer. The horse needed stitches also we tried to make an appointment to get our horses teeth floated and her office help said they would call us back, they never did, we called back in a week and the office help said again that they would call us back and never did. Don’t know if it’s a office help issue or a vet issue. I have heard other similar stuff and I thought it was just a one time incident , now I am not sure.
