Great store. I've lived in Clyde most of my life and we're fortunate to have a Dollar General. Has just about anything you need. The staff is friendly and always helpful. They're not perfect people but neither am I or anyone else.

Great place! Staff was friendly on my last visit and easy to find what your looking for! Everyone wears a mask and there's a divider between u and the cashier and they have stickers on the floor so that we practice social distancing! Great prices and good products!

I visit this DG location once or twice a week and rarely leave dissatisfied. Occasionally I don't find something I was looking for or have to wait in line longer than I'd like, but most of the time I get in and out quickly and easily and find exactly what I need. As far as Dollar Generals go, this one is very clean, pretty well organized, and the employees are all pretty nice and professional. Overall opinion: pretty nice store with very good prices

Savannah is totally great! She was on loan from another store but if she was stationed at the Clyde store I’d be in there all the time! I hope DG appreciates her and her fantastic personality. I know I do :)

It's become impossible to come to the store because they're always closed. They close at 6:00 p.m. which is absolutely ridiculous and some days when they're supposed to be open there's no one working. Either hire better management or shut it down, there's no reason to keep it open if it's not going to be open.

Today my 76 year old mother had something taken out of her car there. This particular item my dad who passed away very recently had purchased for her and she had just found it this morning. With all the pain lately it was so good to see her smile. All for her to accidentally forget to lock her doors and for someone who of course had no business of any car that was not theirs much less being nosy and looking at what was in it but that what it is what a thief does I understand that but then she asked Dollar general if she files a police report or they pull the cameras currently right now they don't have no working cameras supposedly.So just a fair warning as most of us do be sure you lock your doors because even if you are violated and someone takes what isn't theirs out of your car there is nothing that can be done. This is the first DG I've ever heard that doesn't have a working camera system. BE CAREFUL.BEYOND THAT.... The other reason I gave him a two star out of five was from the exception upon my trip last night and the young man that rang up my items was the first time since it's opened and the times I've been there that I've not felt tension or hostility from the workers there and they came across that way from someone who doesn't bother the employees but to get them to ring up my purchase. I go in do my shopping and pay and leave the facility so I could only imagine if somebody needed help with finding any items or someone who had multiple questions about whatever they had questions about but Hopefully I am the only one who has ever experienced this.Hope everyone's experience with this location has been better than any of mine.

It's got a good variety of things, typical of a dollar store, and some good deals now and then. My only complaint is that the milk is frozen solid. I've had this happen at another Dollar General, too. They need to check the temperature on their display cases.

Pre Covid this place stayed open until 9pm. Now, post Covid it closes at 6pm. Making it absolutely impossible to stop by if living in the area and need something from this store location. So annoying and frustrating for local folks. Why bother having one in this area if it’s always closed!

I've always loved Dollar General! They've got so much variety. They're great for a quick stop or a big stock up.I buy my cleaning products, laundry products and medicine cabinet items at Dollar General. I also get toothpaste and mouthwash there. They're normally much better prices here than the grocery store or pharmacy. You can really save a lot of money!Dollar General has a great variety of greeting cards for any occasion. You can get a nice card for 50 cents or 1 dollar!They have so many more things that I haven't mentioned. I highly recommend you stop by Dollar General and check them out for yourself!

The cashier was unable to give me a printed receipt because they were out of receipt paper. She was also unable to write down my total because the transaction was already processed. She continued checking others out even though she has no receipt paper in the machine.

Stores kind of cluttered and when the cashier was asked about a buggy outside that had a discount she argued saying the sign didn't say what it said but then upon ringing the item up is exactly the opposite of what she said, and she's like well I just work your weekends. Not very personable at all and when they even take 15 Steps to go outside and read a sign to make sure they hadn't made a mistake, it wasn't like they were busy they had two people in the store

Tried to stop in and buy a couple of things 15 minutes before closing, was told by the girl out front that they were closed, and that there was nothing she could do because the lights and register were tied into the cheap wall clock behind the counter; and both are inoperable after a certain time. She knew that I knew that she was full of it. I know that it sucks dealing with customers all day, I've been there. I would have been much more understanding if she had just told me the truth. "I'm tired of you people, and want to go home".

I am loving the pick up service. I am on oxygen so no more walking through the store. The Clyde store seems to have better stock. I just order what I need and when I go to the store I just pick it up and go. Its great.

Nice folks but don’t trust the price on the shelf. Twice I brought an item that was clearly marked 1$ and got charged over 2$. Got tired of going back and forth… I paid the extra dollar and left

Clean, reasonable prices store. Always friendly employees who are pleasant and ready to help if you have a question. Checking out is usually quick. They have good deals year round.

Many inexpensive products here, reasonably priced groceries usually two-thirds of what the local grocery store charges. They have clothes groceries frozen foods you do have to look at some of the prices though some of the prices are higher than other places but not many.

I went in there at like 5 mins til close and there was customers checking out and she just looked at me and my husband and sister and with a snobby attitude saying we closed. She was rude as hell and I didnt appreciate that. I am a manager at Taco Bell and we do not act that way. If you have costumers in the store then you have to do your job rather your ass has to stay 5 or 10 mins more

I find it a nice store but the employees are overly aggressive due to the fact that my girlfriend and I are different we dress different we look different just different in a way that is not the "normal" of every day Americans if u will i can't go inside with our being followed the point of uncomfortableness the 3 star rating is due to the fact of the store itself

I went in to grab some stain remover and i was going to get it. A cashier came and said u need to check out we are closed very rudely and i said i have to get what i was getting before i can pay.her name on her name tag said lele i dont appericate the very rude attidues.and before i could get back to the register the other lady came and said are u reafy i told her and she said i rold her to make sure everybody body was gone they were botj very rude . I told the second one thats who u loose customers.

This place is great! I love to be able to run here when I need something quickly instead of having to go to Canton or Waynesville. The prices are usually about the same as the grocery store or cheaper.

Great place to pick up essentials. I grocery shop at Walmart, so Dollar General is closer & takes no time to pick up essentials! Less customers at a time!

I went in the Dollar General one night about 9:45 p.m. and as soon as I walked threw the door both old women that worked there told me I had to hurry up and get out an were very rude about it.... Recent (fake news) articles have come out stating Dollar stores bring down an area. But they tend to fill old abandoned strip malls when all else has left. And support small town American's needs.

The prices are generally good but quality of some of the merchandise is questionable. Aisles are crowded and somewhat disorganized. You get what you pay for. Service was prompt and efficient.

I am encouraging you to visit the Clyde Dollar General' located in the town of CLYDE ! It is VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED! I am rating this solely because the Dollar General in WAYNESVILLE PLAZA is so nasty..I mean NASTY! I typically wouldn't take the time to rate a Dollar General!
