Such a poorly ran store. Employees seem to hate working there. Only one register working there most of the time and their lucky a register is working. One evening only the self checkout was working and the employee was using it to check everyone out. I’ll take the extra 8 min. drive to work the Pleasant Garden Dollar General.

Self check-out doesn't work often and when it does, it never registers sale or buy1 get 1 items, charges for every item results in clearing the sale and you get stuck in a checkout line to start all over. Does NOT accept United Healthcare nor Humana food cards, despite every other dollar general within 30 miles DOES. Simply a sorry and shameful representation of a DG store.* 4mos. later Update: Speed & quality of Service is noticably improved. This store now accepts United Healthcare food/otc card( no Humana yet..)Also self-checkout is of late usually and smoothly functional. An extra employee or two more often on hand; no waiting on clerk to come while they're across the store stocking shelves and inventory.Seems DG is not trying to force multiple positions on 1 employee and run a skeleton shift to pinch a few extra dollars by sacrificing service or customer time (or working an already "low waged" employee to death) at least nowhere near like this store previously seemed so prone to do.A few yrs. ago when across the street to now they've improved appreciably. Our rural community appreciates the improved access/service/amenities.Brother Alan is knowledgeable and cares for the store, coworkers & us local patrons.Thank You, ~ Scooter Dude

Just go to forest oaks or liberty if you have to go to DG. Waste of money to move the store where it used to be. Rude employees, hot as hell in the store, check your frozen section items being the freezers always go out.

I always use this location for my fed ex drop off! The staff are always friendly, I'm always surprise that corporate doesn't put more people in such busy stores. I've noticed they don't seem to care about overworking their staff. Such a shame that a big and wealthy corporation can't DO BETTER!!

Worst one I've ever been to. Employees just walk around and talk instead of waiting on customers. The line wrapped around and no one seemed to care. Please, if you work here, move the trolleys full of stuff out of the isles or put it on the shelves. Somebody's gonna get hurt in here.

Shelves are always pretty much empty, the produce looks horrible all of the time and the lines are always long and employees don’t work with any kind of sense of urgency to solve this issue. They seem like they don’t want to be there and when you call the store they say the lines are too long for them to help you. So why even answer the phone at all.

Aisles are too narrow and there were carts of merchandise in the aisles with boxes unopened. It's probably not the stores employees fault but corporate with how employees have been paid and treated for years. With what the associates have to deal with each day with customers, my experience was the associates were pleasant and helpful.

Easy in and out with good prices. Some things can be more expensive but most things are priced very reasonable. If you don't like going to the big markets, you can find lots of choices in groceries as well as other items commonly used around the house. Store is clean and well organized. They also have public restrooms.

This is a very nice store. It is pretty new, and still very clean. They have a large variety of products. The downside? Because it's new, they just don't have many markdowns, or clearance items as other Dollar General Stores. Still, it is just fine!

Shelves always 1/2 empty. Cashiers have to stock if/when noone appears ready to check out. Always slow. Prices only marginally lower than other competing stores(if the item is in) Not an entirely pleasant or productive DG. Management is poor.

This is a great place for basic staples like milk, bread, cereal, pet food, and the like. Convenient, and they really have a decent selection of knick knacks, clothes, and medicines as well. It's good for when you just need a few things and don't want to go to a full grocery store. Only gripe is that the checkout line can get pretty long.

Horrible experience...30 people in the store, 12 people in line & 1 register open! And the guy who worked the register not only moved slightly faster than a sloth, but had the audacity, with 12 people in line, to take baskets and return them to a stack by the front doors where there were already 20 of them... this is your place if you have all day to shop/stand in line and to not care about how u r treated or customer service in any way shape or form... Huge black eye for Dollar General stores everywhere☹

I enjoy going to Dollar General. They have really got to stop thinking bad about people who come. In thinking they are going to steal. Please get some butter fingers crips. I get a lone good with one woman. I no problem with this store. I go in and out

Normally, I love this store, for the most part. They do seem under staffed sometimes, but that's understandable in the world of covid. However, staff needs to be educated and trained in the nc abc / ALE laws when a customer has a temporary license, and what is acceptable by law to accept as a form of valid age requirement. I am 34 years old, and go to that store ALL the time... recently my puppies got a hold of my license and found half my wallet chewed and sprawled across my yard, and never found my valid license. I ordered another one, and have my temporary license (takes 25 days right now if not longer for them to send a new one in the mail now). According to law, as long as I have the temp license and an expired license, and or picture ID, or passport(doesn't have to be current), they are by law able to accept that to sell alcohol. However, twice I've tried, hoping the second person that was working would be educated enough, but wrong! Used to be a bartender, and know the laws... ALSO, carried my passport, really expired license, birth certificate, AND temporary license, and both times was refused a sale. The first time, the lady did not even listen to me when I explained that I had my temp license and a picture id... and didn't even give me the time or day... it was rude!!! Second time, he at least listened.. but still... because uneducated in the area refused... PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

I bought advertised back to school sale items and nothing was the advertised price. Cashier said she couldn't fix problems. Also they didn't honor the store coupon to save $5 when you spend $25. Overall a frustrating shopping trip.

Store was very cluttered and lots of stock needed to be put away. Seems like maybe they dont have enough people working there. The sales people were very polite even though they looked overworked.

Neat, clean, well organized. Staff is friendly and willing to help find items. Pretty large selection and checkouts are quick. One of the cleanest and neatest DGs I've been in.

It has gotten to where I go there and there is a big line of people. I sit in line and the other lady said I'll take you at this cash register. I walk up to her register and then a woman walks in and ask her where something is and then she walks away to help her why I stand there and 3 outher people are weighted on at the Outher cash register. And the other day she did it again and I got mad and walked out. I now go out of my way to go to a different dollar General because I'm going to go off one day. This store is always out of stuff.

it's nice having a Dollar general close to my house since I live out in the country and Walmart is 35-40 minutes away from methey have everything you need if you were just running quickly to Walmart for something food arts and crafts personal hygiene goods clothing decor yard stuff auto stuff birthday cards you name it they have it

I went in looking for a hand degreaser similar to GOJO. They had automotive supplies but didn't carry the item I was looking for. When I asked the manager if perhaps I had overlooked the product, he readily acknowledged that they didn't have it.

If the store was larger it would be a lot better. The staff is great and friendly. I gave it 3 stars because the milk and bread keep running out.

Love this DG. They have an EXCELLENT selection of name brand foods (not a big fan of the clover valley brand) Employees here have personalities too.....which is always a determining factor on where I decide to go for my shopping

Great place..... Friendly staff but if you buy alcohol or tobacco products be sure to remember to have your ID ready when you check out other than that inconvenience it's a great place to go to.

The one close to Level Cross had a man wotking there. Older man. That acryally lied to officers. I seen my husbands truck there. Went in . the lady at the desk said he was there. Went going down each isle and even seen a bk door open to storage , stood at the end of the isle and the older man said " You cant go in there. I wasnt. Just waiting on my husband. Hes always helping others. The man told the officers i was not allowed bk and said i went into the double doors. I spend at the very least $500-$700 a month there. Food duapers for 2 kids. Hair products and much more. Now im going to FAMILY Dollar. I'd not be scared of losing my job but going to HELL for lying. Praying for you. Forgive you. Find God!

Don't go to this DG location for any kind of decent customer service...walked past 3 employees, not one of them spoke...got up to register, employees were too busy stocking and looked annoyed when he had to stop...NO HELLO OR THANK YOU. I definitely will not go back to this location!

I hate the way that they take off coupons by just scanning a few cents off per item instead of just taking the whole dollar amount. Makes it very difficult at the end of the order to know if all your digital coupons have been scanned or not.
