"friendly mart" used to be Bucks, and when it was Bucks, it was enjoyable. A community store. everyone knew everyone, and it was just a happy environment. they used to have seats and tables where you could sit and eat ice cream or a nice hotdog and just chat with friends or something, but now that it's friendly mart, all the original employees have been fired or quit, and all the new employees are horrible. Thier mean, and judgy and just all around bad employees. Every single 1 of them. I had a friend that worked at bucks for MONTHS and suddenly it switched to friendly mart and he got fired for no reason. This store used to be lovely. The hotdogs were a good price and tasted good, as well as the ice cream, now the hotdogs are insanely expensive, and their horrible. Every experience we've had at "friendly mart" has been horrible. I hate that it's the only gas station in this area. If there was another 1, I would definitely go to it instead of "friendly mart".

I was in this so called “ friendly Mart “ around 1 pm Sunday June 12. I was attempting to redeem my scratch offs. I presented my tickets and was met with a stare and angry face. No hello no can I help you when she informed me by slapping the tickets on the counter that I needed to scratch off the UPC code. No problem. My finger would not scratch it off I asked if she had a penny and she said no while rolling her eyes. I have never felt so disrespected and agitated by her behavior. Her demeanor was incredibly rude.

After spending almost all of my life affiliated with Buck’s, I can’t help but say this is the hotest spot in Chinquapin, NC! Need gas, ice cream, or a quick pick me up... you just need to stop by. In the corner you’ll find the older men talking about whatever and on the phone you’ll find the wives looking for their husband! 😂 They have the best owners and management around! Family owned and operated separates them from all of the chain stores that are near by. Stop by and ask for Bea, or tell the cashier that Bea’s son Anthony said treat ya right!!! 😀

We stopped for a quick second to grab a quick snack only to end up grabbing some hotdogs, chips and drink. The ladies inside were so nice. Definitely recommend coming if you're out in this direction.

Watch your speed driving by this place because cops love to use this store as a spot to hide out of plain sight and watch passer-bys....🤔🙄
