Sadly, our beloved 14yr old dog had reached the point where old age had ruined his health. My family and I took him to Ranchside to find out what our options were, and to see if there was any hope of saving him. The vet took her time explaining his current issues, and considering his age and previous surgeries, it was her recommendation that the kindest course of action would be to euthanize him. She explained the process to us in the most gentle and considerate way possible, which enabled us to make the best choice we could for him. Both the vet and her staff were extremely kind, caring, and compassionate throughout the entire process. At no time were we rushed, and it meant a lot to us to have plenty of time and privacy to say our goodbyes. We stayed with him throughout the whole procedure, and they even gave him a final snack, along with a soft, fuzzy blanket to fall asleep on. Choosing to have him cremated, Ranchside Veterinary transported him that same afternoon to Pet Pilgrimage, and we were able to pick him up from Ranchside the very next day. Having lost him only last week, we are still very much grieving his loss, and the space he occupied in our lives for the past decade is now empty. However, I'm very grateful to the vet, as well as the staff at Ranchside, for their kind consideration during this difficult time, and greatly appreciate the loving care they gave our beautiful boy.

We’ve had nothing but great experiences at Ranchside vets. The staff is always lovely. When we go on vacation this is our go to care for our pup. Def gives me peace of mind that he’s in great care when we’re gone .

I love that everyone is friendly from the moment you walk into the clinic! I have visited other vet clinics in Rowan County, and your office has the friendliest staff.The doctors are all so sweet and they truly love the pets they meet.I used them 2 years ago for a mobile visit for my old doggie, Gypsy, to cross the Rainbow bridge. That experience was obviously extremely difficult for our family. The professionalism and compassion shown were truly next level.Fast forward to now, we just rescued a 5 month old named Yoshi. An excited puppy can sometimes be frustrating to deal with, but the staff love her! They show her patience. Yoshi gets lots of love and treats when she visits them.All of my questions are answered, my appointment requests are tailored to meet my work needs, and the timelines of getting in/out are very quick. The prices are very reasonable, IMO. The service is exceptional.Thanks for making us welcome!

Dr Tillman and Cynthia did an amazing job. We drive an hour and a half. Will not go anywhere else. Had an emergency C-section for our lamb on sat. They saved mom and twins. Thanks again💗

Just recently learned about them. They came to our house twice and they were very good with our pets and friendly people. Spent plenty of time and were not rushing to leave. Always call and follow-up on pets condition. Office people are also extremely nice and accommodating . Great place

My experience would be better if Dr. Annas lived with us or next door would work. That would be awesome! He always is very helpful and gives great instruction. I don’t like to call him but when I do he’s the number I dial.

Very disappointed in this vet. I’ve been coming here for a few years and they charged me for a test. Didn’t get enough pee is what they told me on the phone so I take some back and they tried to charge me for more money saying the pee was bloody. So why wasn’t this said before? This place is a MONEY RACKET !!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. Also one of the doctors who told my my dog had cancer was a terrible experience. It was already hard enough then I have a vet who acts like she could care less. (Dr. Tillman). Like I said, very disappointed in this place. Told them there and will say it here I will NEVER go back.Not sure why this isn’t showing up on page.

I don’t think you could have changed my experience. I brought you a very sick animal, Dr. Tillman was honest, kind, and I did not feel pressured in any way. She was able to teach my kids and me ways and to prevent and look out for our other goat/ animals. I appreciated y’all’s patience and follow up after our initial visit.

We just moved here from New Jersey and our dog ended up having a bleeding mass on his tail. So we made an appointment to have our dog get checked out by the vet. In our initial phone conversation I explained to the vet employee that we didn't have his vaccination records as they got misplaced in the move and asked if they would still be able to see our dog. They said yes and we made an appointment for the following day which is today. Mind you, we had taken our dog to get seen at an Urgent Vet the day prior but they don't do surgeries so they told us to go to our regular vet. The Urgent Vet had told us it was a mass on our dog's tail and to have a biopsy done and find out about having it surgically removed if possible. So we already had all this info coming in to Ranchside Veterinary Clinic. Now it's Saturday 11/11/22 and we are at Ranchside Clinic and they took us in for our dog's examination. They take our dog to another room from where they brought us in to examine him but refuse to give us any estimate for surgery because we didn't have his vaccination record with us. We told the lady attending us that we explained it initial phone conversation that we didn't have the records but he was vaccinated. We also told her that their employee told us it would be fine to bring him in without the vaccination papers. The lady then told us that North Carolina state law states that a dog must be vaccinated in order for them to be seen by any vet in the state of North Carolina. Now I was not aware of such law but accepted it and asked being they can't legally attend to my dog if I was going to get charged for a visit. The lady said she had to run it by the vet and she would let us know. She came back a few minutes later and said we are not going to charge you for the visit but we are going to charge you for the consultation. I thought that was highly unfair because they are supposed to know the state law and should of said so while I was trying to make the initial appointment over the phone. We then walked out to the main waiting room and I left my card on the table so they could charge me while I put my dog in the car. I came back to a receipt for $62.15 so I questioned them on why so much if they didn't want to give me an estimate because state law prohibits them from seeing our dog. I also told the front desk attendant that the vet said they would charge a consultation visit fee but not an exam visit fee. Again unaware that there were two different fees I told her I was unaware of the two fees but it should of been less than $62.15 and her response was, we charge them both together and there's nothing I could do about separating the charges. In other words I was lied to. They knowingly violated the law when they took my dog in for a consultation which according to their own mouth is a violation of North Carolina state law. They told me nothing new other than what the Urgent Vet had already told me. They never gave me an estimate to remove the mass and left me empty handed and I walked out with $62.15 less in my pocket. Their intent was to make money which is fine but they didn't give me anything in return while they violated state law.I would suggest anyone to stay away from this vet as they don't have your best interest at heart.

I had to use this company on Monday 11/8 at my house to put down my dog of 14 years. They came and performed the necessary services as if I was at their office. They removed my dog for creamation on Tuesday. Would recommend them if you were in this situation. Very satisfied customer 😃

My girl goes here to the vet and she was boreded there this week. They are all amazing and treated my girl like their own. Will definitely use them again.
