I really enjoy my visits to Goodman's farm supply. They have a nice selection of gardening and farm supplies in a quaint small town store that actually mixes some of their own feeds. They'll even help get your fields in shape for your animals. They're helpful if you have questions. They load my vehicle for me.

We’ve been going here to pick up chicken feed for our flock. We enjoy supporting small business and we enjoy our small sustainable living. We’re experienced chicken owners as we both have been raising chickens from incubator to laying. We decided to buy 6 chicks yesterday to add to our variety. 3 arctic blue, 3 black star. Brought them home, put them under the heat lamp, ensuring they were comfortable and cared for. This morning one acted lethargic and sickly. We separated and it passed quickly. We called simply to ask is there a replacement policy as we knew our children would be devastated coming home from school… We were told no, but we figured as much. We said okay may we purchase a single chick of the same variety to replace the one. We were told no, our children needed to get used to animals dying, and as a matter of fact he would never sell us chicks again. My husband just said okay thank you and hung up the phone.I’m actually shocked but more than anything completely disappointed in how the owner handled the whole situation. We are non confrontational people, and at no point were we rude or heated on the phone. Based on this interaction, I will not be returning my business there. So just a heads up if you are shopping there or thinking of purchasing chicks or ducks, just beware of what you will be met with shall any issue arise.

Visited the first time and loved it! We couldn't believe the selection of garden and hardware. Two levels of items and great prices. Look forward to going back. So nice to see a local hardware shop.

The owner Allen is very rude! He is NOT a “good man”. we get yellow baby ducks from him every year. He’s rude every year. Today he wouldnt give me yellow ducks so he rudely gave me my money back. He has a sign out front about jesus christ but he is a grumpy man thats not nice to others.

I try to keep the local small businesses open by shopping there. This is one of those places. Overall, friendly guys, good Ole country store. Get my starter fertilizer there, lime, grass seed. I also will call on occasion to see if they have what I need before driving 10 miles further to the big box stores. Get my local honey there also.

Great little hardware store that seems to have a little bit of everything! Sure beats driving all the way to Kannapolis or Salisbury when you need a little part!

I'm gonna start this by saying that this is the only bad experience I've ever had here, but it was enough for me. I walk in with my son, my mom and grandma who are in town visiting. The older man with the beard and glasses was there as I asked him for duck food. I have lived in this state, in the country for years and years. This man talked to me like I was an idiot. I told him I wanted turkeys cuz they're mean and he began to tell me with the most condescending attitude that I must have had an experience with wild turkeys. My dude I have hunted wild turkeys and been around domestic turkeys, they're both mean as hell. Do not talk to me like I'm stupid. He then comes out to our car to help with the duck food (I'm little but I can lift 50lbs) however, I appreciated it. This man proceeds to tell my almost 80 year old grandmother about him and his wife's sex life. No thank you sir. I don't think I will ever go back

This was an old hardware store. The problem was it smelled like cat urine when you walked in the store! They had 2 male kittens walking around the store and some of their supplies were old, used, and rusty for chicken supplies like the feeding trays stainless steel was old used and rusty.

We recently got a pony, so we've been coming here for her hay and bedding. Everytime we're greeted by friendly staff. They have friendly conversations just to do it. Really makes you feel like friend, not just customer. We'll forever keep coming her for our pet supplies. Also, can't wait for our baby chicks to arrive! Thank you!

We order chicken they wrote a recipe hatching date was 3-29-2023 you picked up on 3-31-2023 I picked them up 4-1-2023 had them in room 90degree like they told me Saturday Sunday Monday night I check on them they was all over the place happy eating and drinking cold water from 10pmto 5am I went check on them they was all died I called them Tuesday 4-4-2023 he wouldn't order more replacement them or my money back he may alot of excess how high u had heat lamp I say about 3 from the floor he told 1 foot then asked what I'm feeding them I told u get me a bag he gave me 50 lbs bag nutrena 18 percent them he went talking about the light I told him not my first I brought some tractor supply year year o done same thing I still have 8 laying hens never buy anything from him he was rude I went there 4-1 he say did I call u I say no the receipt pick up 3 31 he I didn't call u then asked me what my name I told he say I didn't see ur name I said it right there

I love how old timey everything seems and that it is definitely not your mainstream farm supply store. We were shopping for pepper plants for our garden and I was pleasantly surprised by their selection and plant health! Prices were spot on, also. Great service. Friendly people. I was so happy I sent my hubby there a second time in the same day. We are definitely new regulars!

I try to shop local and goodmans was close by so I thought I would try their chicken feed...they have No organic feeds.. store employee attempted to convince me that pesticides and synthetic fertilizers were safe. And that I would be in more danger taking an aspirin a day..my birds do not like southern states feed..smells like silage...will not shop there again.

This store was nostalgic. They have a large variety of feeds, gardening/farming supplies, seeds, live plants, bee keeping supplies, hardware, and pet items. The men working there were very helpful and friendly.

I was introduced to Goodmans through my husband 4 years ago. We did not patronize the store last year because we had to work more during covid. The new guy running the store will rip you off! Onion bulbs are $2.50 a pound. The young lady that sold us a pound two weeks ago charged us and taxed us the correct amount. Our total came to $2.62 two weeks ago. I went in today to pick up 1 pound again and this guy charged me $3.00 and gave me No Receiptwith details! My husband told me to take them back immediately. This will be the last time I patronize Goodmans. I will drive a little farther to get my garden and chicken needs.

Honestly wish I could rate lower store manager guy with grey beard absolutely rude I’m a minor and was wearing a shirt just half an inch above my belly button and high wasted jeans and that man told me “I was asking for it” and sexualized me in a complete inappropriate manner and how he treats his employees is completely inhuman pushes his employees humiliates them infront of customers rips you off and when they get chicks in if some are half dead you would think he cares for them till they get better but instead takes them out and slams them on concrete worst experience I’ve ever had do not recommend going there.

My family has been going to Goodman’s for as long as I can remember. We live on a farm with horses chickens and we would usually grow a garden every year. We get the plants, chicken feed, and a specific feed for one of our senior horses. For the past year there’s been a man working at Goodman’s that any time my sister or mother would ask a question he is very rude and would try to make them feel that they don’t know what they are talking about. That is only saying how we feel about this nicely. As long as that man is working there we won’t be giving our business to Goodman’s anymore. There is no reason to be rude, sarcastic, and narcissistic to your customers. We play Rock Paper Scissors just to see who has to go in to deal with this man.

Great customer service!! I love the atmosphere there and Allan is always helpful whether it's on plants or on farm animals. I always come here to get chicken food, plants, vegetables or yard necessities.
