Excellent Ice Cream Shop, even when it's chilly out. They went over the top with adding M&M's to our grandson's ice cream cone. A must visit place when you're going through Chimney Rock!

This ice cream shop is AMAZING!! I went here on vacation with my family and I had a difficult time choosing what flavor I wanted. I lowered it down to three. There are so many flavors to choose from you can’t just pick one. I wish I had a ice cream spot like this near my house but unfortunately I stay 4 hours away. Whenever I visit Asheville again I will definitely be coming back to try other flavors. There is also a beautiful river behind the shop that you can visit when getting ice cream.

I was pleasantly surprised to check this place out and find some dairy free ice cream options. They have two sorbets, lemon and raspberry, that are dairy free and vegan. However, the real treat was the chocolate chunk vegan and dairy free ice cream. It was very tasty! The lady behind the counter was super helpful and read out the ingredients to us so we could be sure it was safe. She also let us sample the ice cream. It was quite a treat to find some ice cream. I was certain I’d be disappointed going in but walked away with a happy family after eating some tasty ice cream!

Very large selection of ice creams to choose from. Vegan and sugar free options. Even the kids size is pretty darn big. Nice patio area as well.

Maybe business is so good Village Scoop just didn't have cups. We went to Village scoop for a evening treat. Yes the ice cream store has tons of flavors which is nice but I can't get past my $6.00 hot fudge Sunday served in a partially filled 4oz plastic cup. It had about 1.5 teaspoons of chocolate and some canned whipped cream. All total it amounted to about five mouth fulls of melting ice cream . See the picture. No tricks that is a normal hand holding the half filled sample sized Sunday for $6.00. They could of at least filled up the cup.

Large selection of ice cream to pick from. Prices are reasonable. Quality of the ice cream is great! The peach ice cream was some of the best I have had! It even had peach slices in it 😋. They also have sugar free and vegan options available. Staff are super friendly and the place was spotless!

Every time I go to Chimney Rock I go here as well. Hands down this is my favorite ice cream shop! No competition! The staff is also always friendly. The owner, who is almost always there as well, is also the sweetest person (pun intended since it is an ice cream place).

So many flavor options! Tons of great choices. We had the chocolate raspberry truffle (OMG so good), the moose tracks (delicious) and the dairy free cookies & creme which was delectable. Good prices and friendly service. 5 stars all around

We got ice cream here 3 times during our stay in Lake Lure. Awesome selection of flavors—lemon, peach, black cherry, chocolate peanut butter and the peanut butter caramel cookie dough were all family favorites! Friendly staff and clean establishment. We will be sure to stop again when we’re back in town!

This place was great for the variety of ice cream. They do have places on the ground for you to step on for social distancing but some of the patrons don't follow instructions.Everyone had social distancing and were doing good until I realized they were so close behind me that when I turn my body to look at other flavors on the left I actually hit the man with my shoulder and elbow as I turned.When I looked everyone was all pushed in tight because they wanted to see what others flavors were there instead of waiting for their turn.It was only when I asked the server "Aren't you all supposed to uphold the social distancing". Why are these people so close behind me which were adults then kids/teenagers. It was then that the young lady employee started asking people too move forward that we're done in front of us and trying to get the people behind us to move and keep their distance.I don't know if it was just regular employees there and or a manager present but whoever was in charge should have spoken up instead of worrying about repercussions from customers because the employees were doing what social distancing guidelines were out there for them to run their business.Other than that we had a delightful experience my husband got the salted caramel and I got the blueberry cheesecake and the banana pudding in waffle cones. All of our ice cream tasted amazing but I will save my favorite was absolutely the banana pudding one.The pricing was justified for the quality and quantity served it does have a little sit-down area inside but the line going in and around to the ice cream was probably about two foot three at the most distant scene from the tables so we went outside to the tables with umbrellas and we're able to keep the social distant scene because I had placed the tables the six or more feet apart.When we come back to visit we will absolutely be visiting this place because of how good it was and with it having 61 flavors you just can't beat that along with the service the young lady provided us, she was so nice and friendly.

I come here every time I come to Chimney Rock! I love this place and their variety of ice cream flavors. They even have Superman, which is a hard flavor to find at my local ice cream shops. Staff is always nice and friendly and I will continue supporting this business!

We moved too Asheville about 14months ago and we have been recommended so many ice-cream shops which all fell short of expectations. NOT THIS ONE! EASILY the best ice cream we have had in the area. It is a 35-40min drive from where we live in AVL but we will be making the trip more often now. Great location, great service as well.

Great stop for some ice cream! The staff was really nice and never hesitated to give samples when asked and to explain all the ingredients when asked as well. The sitting area is a little small, but we also were there in the winter so outside seating wasn't really an option. Will come back next time!
