Nice little diversion to spend a few minutes checking out the river and the shops while you're in town. There are several restaurants and souvenir shops that you can pop in and out of for a bite or to do some shopping. Or, just take the walk and enjoy the views. It's a good spot to go to on your way into or out of the park.

We love exploring and playing on the rocks. The river is always so refreshingly cool. There are several bridges that make accessing the islands easier. A visit to the Riverwalk is always a big hit with the whole family... Guaranteed fun for all!

The Rocky Broad Riverwalk runs parallel to Main Street in Chimney Rock Village, providing easy access to restaurants, and other attractions.It offers a peaceful walking trail with plenty of boulders and rock outcroppings. Generally, it is not a high traffic area. Entrances are between buildings and could go unnoticed unless your are looking for access to the river.May 14 pics added

Walk among the rocks (carefully) and see spectacular views of the French Broad River. Just a few steps from Main Street and a really cool little spot to sit a while and take life in while the water streams past you. There are dry spots, you will not get wet unless you do something stupid. We spent 30-45 minutes here taking photos. Best part? It’s freeeeee. :)Have fun.

This little jewel, is located behind the old rock Cafe, next to chimney rock state park. So beautiful and relaxing. So much to do in just this area alone.Tight parking on main street, but more parking available across the street.

It’s a short walk and nice to get a touch of the water and usually accessible from all the stores alongside. Yet the some parts of trail itself is a bit nasty.

A really fun place to walk around with the whole family. I have been coming here ever since I was around four years old and have made some wonderful memories here. It is always a delightful experience as you can do a several number of things including shopping, playing in the creek and/or beach, and you can even go zip lining. Highly recommend.

We had so much fun wading in the water here at Chimney Rock! Our two year old daughter loved it. Just make sure to bring an extra change of clothes (just in case). It is so convenient that the restaurants and shops are right by the river as well. We will be back soon!

So fun! We loved walking along the water and seeing all the people up top eating at the different restaurants.The water was nice and crisp.There are a couple areas with large rocks to sit on and relax.

One of my favorite places in the world. What a great idea to put a little town overlooking this river and then also adding a river walk. We swim here all the time.

Such a relaxing and cool place to visit. The river is shallow enough to walk and float on. This is a great alternative if the beach is too crowded.
