Cute coffee shop in Cherokee in a pretty area. Coffee roast is great and they have unique flavors. I would have never added ginger to my coffee before, now I will try it at home (it could have used a bit more). 4 stars since prices are a bit higher than others in the area. Love their logo. Wish they made stickers for customers to purchase.

Our go to place for coffee when we are in town! Love supporting small locally owned businesses. It's crazy I've seen so many people talk about how rude the staff is but we have never experienced that. Some people need to check their own attitudes we have seen people come in with the line out the door and complain that the wait is to long 🤔 Its free to make your own coffee at home 🤣 stop being rude to the workers who actually show up and work. Most places are still short staffed.

When I walked into Qualla Java I was immediately hit with the wonderful smell of coffee. It was a bit chilly outside and the latte I ordered hit the spot. It was so good!

I have never liked coffee and I cannot remember the exact name of the drink, but I tried something from this business about two weeks ago and it is the only coffee I have ever enjoyed. It was my 30th birthday. At 30 years old, I finally experienced coffee I liked.I live about 8 hours away. If I lived near Cherokee, I'd be spending money here every day to taste that sweetness again. In that case, maybe it's a good thing I can't consume that drink every single morning, but I feel indebted to this place for finally showing me coffee can be tasty. I often visit eastern TN/western NC, so I have hope I will visit here again. Not only was that cup delicious but the location is awesome, right by a flowing river, and the furniture and overall atmosphere was really cool.

Stopped here this morning and to my surprise they have a spicy red Chille coffee. Benchmark for me is Mr Bees in New Mexico. Absolutely fantastic flavor, equal to my favorite. No one has ever come close to Mr Bees. Counter staff (I assume the owner) is pleasant and the order was made quickly. Highly recommend this place!!Kid-friendliness: No inappropriate material or behavior.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor entrance with wide door.

I don't understand where the good reviews are coming from. We saw good reviews of their coffee and pastries so, on a trip, we stopped in before noon. No pastries and though the coffee was cheap, there was no coffee taste. It was as if they gave us hot milk which also did not taste like milk. We wound up driving to a gas station and tossing the "coffees". Don't believe the stellar reviews. You can't find a good coffee shop in or around Cherokee...we have tried several over the years.

This is a great coffee place. You can just get a cup and hang around. They also offer wifi as this area has limited network. You can also reserve one of the conference type rooms here. I loved that they had toys for the kids to play.My daughter had a great time her while I enjoyed my coffee.Friendly staff and clean place.

Was up in Cherokee this past Labor Day weekend and it was my first time here, very nice atmosphere, great service, and spot on coffee. Had coffee before I headed out again and grabbed a bag of the medium roast Costa Rican for the house. Highly recommend this place to any coffee lovers visiting or passing through Cherokee. Great job to the owner and staff.

We stop here often when in the area. As we are driving through, we decide to stop for coffee around 4:15. We go in and order. The person taking our order goes over to make the coffee. We wait for our coffee for probably 10 minutes and several (4-6) people come in and get their orders, my wife steps up to ask about ours. The server points to the cups that were sitting there. It was sitting there for 10 minutes, but we didn’t pick it up because one of the drinks was an iced drink. Apparently “Small mocha with almond milk and no whip” sounded like an iced coffee with extra ice. When my wife said hers was supposed to be hot too, the girl asked “Hot, with ice?” We both state, no ice! She shoves it to the side with a very agitated eye roll and goes to make it again. When my wife thanked her when she gave her the drink, she just gave us a sarcastic “Have a nice day!” Very poor customer service this time. There were two workers, this was the taller, dark haired worker.

The coffee was really good but the customer service was cold and rude. We had never been here before and after ordering we stepped aside so next customer could order. So we're standing there wandering why it was taking so long and the customer told us our coffees were sitting right there instead of the girl behind counter saying "Ma am, here's yalls coffee, have a great day and thank you". We will never come back especially when there's other places to get our coffee. We did thank the customer for telling us that our coffees were sitting there getting cold because of the lack of customer service we got.

This place, quite a joke!! No one greets you, and the cappuccino we ordered was 1/4 full! Then I showed them and they said that is a cappuccino, that's how we make it. Also, rude remarks as we walked out! Young girls with NO customer service skills, beware.** Also, in response to your feedback.. there was no aggression on my part, only very young snarky girls, 1 especially. They were not polite nor did they greet us or treat us with respect. Remarks were made on our way out that were uncalled for. So, no thank you!

Awesome coffee! This was our first visit, and we loved it! A very clean Java stop! Try the Fire coffee it is wonderful with just the right amount of kick to it. The Butter Bear was also fantastic! The staff was very helpful since it was our first visit. They also did not rush us. Lots of seating available. I even noticed a place for the kids to play. The prices of coffee are some of the best we have seen! I have posted a menu along with this review. Prices are on the menu. Love this place!

YUM! I recommend the Big Cove or Black Snake if you like iced coffees, or the Peacemaker if hot coffee is more your style.Great place to get a morning pick-me-up and support Cherokee business before heading into the park! Highly recommend.

It was great to “find” this place after struggling a bit with my expectations of the town. The menu is creative enough to offer a new experience without being unfamiliar. Many options were desired but I could only have one. I had a coffee and my wife had a tea. Both were worth revisiting but like I said there were so many great choices. The barista unknowingly sang the songs on the radio out loud while she worked and offered lipgloss tips all while keeping her hands moving. Just impressed all around. PSA- Don’t sit at the right, front window counter space and expect to lean on the counter. There is no support. I will be returning for more.

We have drove 150 MI to get the Cherokee and had looked for a coffee shop, two members of my party had walked into the coffee shop and I was about eight steps behind them, as I was so excited about a good cup of coffee I was rudely told as I walk through the door with the open sign and 45 minutes before closing that they were not accepting anybody else and asked me to leave and the girl came over and turned the sign to closed! The young dark-haired girl was so rude that other patreons walked out that were already inside and in line because of how she treated me. Sad part is every establishment that I visit I tip very well they lost out. And lost 4 sales for ever, I've never seen a town so rude.

This place is really nice and the barista is very helpful and knowledgeable. This place has alot of little rooms to sit, all with a different decor about them. It's really the best coffee shop in this town and I'll definitely be coming back here for the coffee and the nice people when I'm back in this neck of the woods again

Perfect spot for coffee after visiting Smoky Mountain National Park with cozy indoor and outdoor seating areas. The signature latte menu has unique flavors and the drinks were delicious!

The coffee is delicious. I bought a bag of Costa Rican for home and we both had the Butter Bear frozen coffee. Tim, the mgr/owner was very pleaaant, but the young girls that work there are rude and dismissive. I said thank you to the girl who handed me my coffee, no response...so I said it again, assuming she didn't hear me and again, no response. At that point, Tim said thank you. The next time we went in, 20 minutes before close, another couple and ourselves were waiting to get acknowledged. The 2 girls were feverishly cleaning and didn't even stop to say...can we help you? Finally, the other couple asked if they were open and you could tell they didn't want to serve anyone. I understand that most businesses close @ 5pm on the Reservation, but having said that, at least provide service until closing and employ some people that accutually like people, or at least their job. I often wonder where consideration and politeness have gone these days.On the way out of town, my husband went in to grab another bag of the Costa Rican coffee and walked right back out. He told me that the girls working there were being very rude to the few customers that were in there.Tim, you need to address the poor customer service that your associates provide, because your coffee is awesome and I would have come back many more times.

We fell in love with the drinks, the people and the shop during our honeymoon. We came in three different times and ordered different items each time and the unique variety made for a very fun experience and as a barista at a Cafe in Ohio I appreciate the talent and dedication to craft.
