***Update from my previous post and their response: Now these people are LYING about customers. The response from the company below is a complete LIE. I have NEVER requested “a full refund”. In fact, I had a 4 star review on Google from my first experience with the company but I have since removed it. The last time we were there I simply asked them to cut a little more hair off the top of his head. In addition, I NEVER requested a full refund for THIS service but potentially a partial credit or refund due to the LACK of services that were not provided. The fact they got on this platform and lied is MIND BLOWING! ***Brought my fur son 2/7 and requested they plucked his ears (since you must request this service even though it is included with a full groom). When I picked him up, there was no plucking done. In addition they did not spray any perfume/spray or anything on him (this service is typically done when you take any dog to a grooming place). TODAY (not even 24 hours later) he smells like corn chips so I’m not even sure they completed a bath service. They couldn’t resolve the issues when I was there since everyone had went home by 5:30. I called today to speak to the manager and they told me “they plucked his ears and since I had a problem with it to go to another grooming salon”. We absolutely will! There is an AMAZING salon who can pluck dogs ears who we typically go to, however due to timing/traveling we knew we could get in here quicker. They lost a customer due to poor customer service and this charge has been disputed with my bank 😊.

I can’t say enough good things about The Dog Salon!! When I first got my Toy Aussiedoodle I was not only new to the area but I also had no idea what I was doing as far as grooming my baby girl. Harlow will be 2 in June, she’s been going to The Dog Salon for over a year. I wish I had known about this place sooner! I went through 3 different groomers before I found the GOAT. Every groomer I’ve had there has been great but I have found Heather to be the poodle guru!!!! I also love how they run promotions every so often. Coming from someone that is obsessed with their fur baby you can’t go wrong trusting The Dog Salon with yours!

We were recommended The Dog Salon by a coworker of mine. As a previous Groomer’s Assistant myself, I am always hesitant trying new places when it comes to dog grooming. We moved here around a year ago from Ohio and needed a furever groomer. Kenna, thank you so much for making our Murphy look amazing! He came home so happy! We appreciate what you do and can’t wait to see you again! Also their front of Salon staff was amazing. The cleanliness was impeccable. Thank you Kenna and The Dog Salon!

I took my CMAC foster dog to The Dog Salon and was WOW are they so friendly, helpful, and informative! Amy took amazing care of Miss Ice Spice. Although we had zero information on her prior care or behavior, Amy went straight into the groom with confidence and compassion for this pup. Her mattes were resolved and she gave me great recommendations on future care for her skin and ears. Not to mention, they were kindly able to accommodate a same-day appointment! Thank you Amy!

I have a very high strung Australian Shepherd and Heather is the only person/Fae who he’ll let groom him. I assume she places him in a pentagram that somehow breaks the flow of Hell’s anxiety into his brain so that he can be still for longer than .235s but whatever her magic is, she does an incredible job every time, he loves her, and she is just a generally wonderful person. Highly recommend Heather, especially if you have an anxious dog.

I’ve taken my pup. Mosley, to the dog salon about 5 times now and they’ve always done an awesome job! We book regularly with Heather, as she’s an expert in grooming doodles. I love when Mosley gets shaggy with a longer coat, but with these hot months it’s more important to me that he is comfortable and not easily getting overheated. Heather has always made him look super handsome with shorter hair.BONUS: Mosley always comes back home with the softest, best smelling coat and a precious banana around his neck.Attached photos are before & after of Mosley going to the Dog Salon for a full groom.~~ UPDATE:Many months later and still loving the dog salon and the people who operate this business! Today, I got a sneak peak of our groomer, Heather, loving on my sweet pup at the end of his grooming session. It’s so important to me that Mosley is handled with love and affection, so this meant the world to me! I have full trust in The Dog Salon and love that we get to take Mosley here for his grooming appointments. New photos attached 😊

I’ve been to a couple different groomers in Charlotte and Dog Salon is by far the best one. They made sure my high anxiety dog was comfortable his whole time, he even took a treat from them when he normally won’t because he gets so nervous, and they were done quickly. They said they’d be done two hours after I dropped him off, and an hour later they texted he was ready. I also got a super cute photo of him when he was done.I will definitely be going back again :)

Lori does an amazing job every time. Bella looks beautiful, and I can tell that Lori takes good care of my little Bella.Everyone at The Dog Salon has always been nice and work with me on the appointments and they always assist with any questions I have.I highly recommend this salon to pet owners.

My dog, Josie, is 2 years old and didn’t go to the groomer for a haircut until towards the end of last year due to my family dog having some bad past experiences at a different groomer. I was so nervous, but my at-home haircuts weren’t doing her any favors so when a friend suggested The Dog Salon I gave it a try. I’m SO glad I did because everyone there is amazing and she always looks so adorable when she’s done (especially when she has bows in her hair or a bandana on). She’s been to get her haircut several times since then and I know she’s always in great hands. They always try to fit you in as soon as they can, ask how you want the dogs hair cut, and give you the cutest report card after the visit. Thank you to all the staff and groomers at The Dog Salon, you all are wonderful! Best dog groomer in CLT!Update: 2 years later I’ve moved back to the area and the first thing I did was book Josie an appointment! I will always recommend The Dog Salon to friends and I’m so happy to take Josie back again! Shoutout to Will who did a wonderful job!

My sweet Bonnie is on wheels and I’m always so nervous to bring her to get groomed because i want them to care for her, the way I do, and they definitely did that!!! She smells so good and seemed so relaxed after. My queens killed it (Bonnie was in wheelchair before visiting them lol)

If I could rate this a 0 I would. We requested our BICHON a slight trim around her muzzle as when it’s very long she tends to get matted. They made our bichon into a poodle, and this haircut is HARMFUL for bichons as their skin is very sensitive to sunlight. They also cut her whiskers… she is full of anxiety ever since we picked her up from the salon. The lady would not issue us a refund and refused to compensate or apologize in any way possible. Do not go here if you expect customers to be valued or your pups to be taken care of. Below I have attached photos of her from other salons and how she SHOULD look, then I added pictures of what they did to her. Beware of this “salon”.UPDATE: We stated we wanted a “trim” on her muzzle, NEVER would we shave her. This company is unprofessional and past reviews including my experience demonstrates how they lack responsibility and accountability. Your employee wrote down our request incorrectly, then, as we never would request her to be shaved. She looks horrendous. I’ve noticed this company likes to blame the owners multiple times rather than owning their mistakes and that alone is disappointing. We won’t be back.

Great experience. I have Aussie Shepherds and the grooming is a bit tricky. The Dog Salon always does a great job. We have been 4 times and each visit is exactly what I expect. I appreciate the feedback from the groomers too. I will continue to take my pets here for their grooming needs.

The dog salon takes such good care of my girl, is always efficient and accommodating. Best groomer in the uptown/south end area. My parents always bring their dog to get groomed here too when they’re in town. We love how much they love our dogs and make them comfortable. Extremely organized and a clean facility!

I have been bringing my dog Tito for almost 3 years, and brought in my new dog Neko recently. They both had a phenomenal time. The staff is always so accommodating and friendly. They do an amazing job!!! Seriously the best dog salon in town! If you are looking for somewhere to pamper your pets? This is the place!

I liked this salon. My fur baby is a one year old yorkie who has very bad anxiety and it's hard to find a groomer who has the patience. He got a mini groom (growing out his coat) and creative coloring on his ears and tail. I was very specific and clear about what I wanted and made sure that the groomer and I were on the same page. Overall my experience was good and I feel like he was treated with great care.However, his eye became swollen shut about 10 minutes after leaving his appointment but it went down after a couple hours. I believe he may have had some reaction to the dye but I'm not 100% sure what the true cause was. I would go back but probably skip out on the coloring. I just wanted to try something new and probably should have done some research. I do wish that the groomer gave some information or disclaimers though but I don't blame her or the salon. Just do more research if you are thinking about adding on the coloring service.

Kenna and the folks at The Dog Salon took amazing care of my pup Winston today! This was my first time visiting. I received great customer service when it came to booking, filling out my new client paperwork, and when showing up to drop off/pick up my dog. It seemed like everyone there was genuinely happy to see my dog and cared about his care, which I don’t feel like is the norm at the bigger chain groomers. We will certainly be back!

Haleigh did a fantastic job hand stripping my Italian Spinone. It’s so hard to find someone that will (and can) hand strip a wirehair dog. So much so that we haven’t had it professionally done since we brought penny home 2.5 years ago. Haleigh exceeded all our expectations on both results and affordability.I included photos of her “before” and after. We’ll definitely be doing this at the beginning of ever summer (at least).
