Target located at 9870 Rea Road in Charlotte, NC (Blakeney) is a well stocked, well run Target! They had everything I was looking for, in easy to find locations, though the store is a bit of a maze.Very competitive prices! It also includes a Starbucks at the front of it. My only complaint would be that there is limited parking for the very high volume that the lot gets.Store staff was friendly and helpful.

I’ve had a few bad experiences here lately, especially in the morning, since the new self checkout policy has been places. It took FOREVER for a cashier to check me out last week, and I fully believe I could have done it faster myself at self checkout. Today, they had it open but there was an employee being very militant over it. Something I scanned didn’t scan correctly so I took it out of my bag and was going to call her over. As I moved my hand to take the thing out she screamed “WAIT WAIT WAIT!” I was very confused as I was just waiting for her to come help. I also heard the same employee scream the same “WAIT WAIT WAIT” at an elderly customer. Terrible customer service at this one lately. Only employee I’ve had a good experience with is the guy manager who’s usually there in the morning.

I usually don't care to write reviews and if I could give this target a zero star review I would. I came in this store to do a return and was eventually checked out by the same lady after shopping and I had my son with me. Elizabeth was the name of the employee. She had mid to long lighter brown hair, light complexion, and no makeup ( not sure if she was part of management ). She was extremely rude, didn't even acknowledge me and gave my son ( who is 3) the ugliest most judgemental looks. I'm not sure what's wrong with her face. This target needs to do better with their employees and I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Props to Dee, the manager of the beauty department who helped me find a specialty product for my daughter. The store was incredibly busy, and she still managed to provide great customer service. I shop at this store regularly, and it's one of the nicest Targets in the Charlotte area.

This location is such a mess. Good luck finding anything because merchandise is strewn on the floor or dumped on random shelves. Junk everywhere.The bathroom was clean though.

This seems to be a very busy store, so I understand any frustration staff may have. However, the lady that cashed me out was rude. Complained that we(?) were "acting like it was Christmas" and when I asked her if we could double check the clearance items she pushed her screen to me and said "you need to look at the screen for that." One item didn't have a price on it at all, but it was the only one I could find, she huffed looked at a similar item I had and scanned it twice and said "are you good with that?" I just said sure. Hopefully that lady had a better day, maybe she or management needs to figure out something better.

Dealing with a Target employee was a nightmare – their rudeness was off the charts. It's like they never heard of customer service or rules. A truly dreadful encounter that left me questioning the quality of staff they hire.

Do not buy online, yesterday I bought a keyboard for my son, I bought it online because it was cheaper. But I was in the store, my son had the keyboard in his hand, we went to the customer service to have them deliver the product that we had already paid for, the lady who served us said that she couldn't deliver it so we could go the next day, today they send me an email saying that the product is not available, I wasted my time, to locate it in another store and it is not available either. Terrible service from the people who work at Target, it seems that they did not receive instructions or training in customer service.

Sad to say that this store is consistently out of stock of many everyday items. Check out lines are long. The renovation is exacerbating the existing issues. Ordering on the app - items are not ready within the 2 hour promised window.Note to Target Management and Corporate - many staff members are not neat and professional in appearance and can be overheard criticizing other staff members, management and their home/friend situations. Not the impression you want to leave with your customers.- store layout - please stop placing display stands in the middle of aisles. Highly frustrating to try and maneuver around.Target used to be a clean, neat, well organized and well stocked place to shop with good quality clothing and interesting items to purchase. I rarely purchase any clothes or footwear there anymore and often cannot find the basics in stock.

I came to Target to browse multivitamins, sleepwear, and of course the usual whatever I find I’m buying. After about 25 minutes of shopping I realized that I’m being followed and watched by multiple employees.It is a very uncomfortable shopping experience to be under suspicion. If it weren’t so late, I would’ve left everything and went to the Target closer to my home. After watching an employee watch me walk with my cart from the sunglasses to the register and stand very close while I scanned my items, I will never return to this Target. I spent $90 and was profiled. Employees and clearly whoever is relaying information through the walkie talkies need to understand that shopping takes time and people can browse. Also realize that people of every color can shop & PAY at your store. Besides finding what I needed, I would give zero stars if I could. I should’ve walked around the store until they closed.

Great $1/$3/$5 section at the front of the store — love the self-check out options, too. The parking lot is often crowded — drive and walk with care. There is a Starbucks inside this location.

What happened to target!? The boys section looks like the girls section, girl bathing suits well, let’s just say not for girls. Ever look at the books on display in the kids section? Used to love target. Now I think I need to go elsewhere. Thank god my daughters prefer Shein anyway. Cheaper and just as poorly made.

This place used to be outdated and kind of depressing to be in. It seems that they’ve recently finished their renovation and it’s niiiiice now. Ambient lighting, easy to navigate aisles, and just a premium experience. If you need to go to a target in the Charlotte area this is probably the best one to go to now, easily.

This was an online order and pick up at store. After I came home and was about to start wrapping it , the box was open and it had missing parts. Make sure to check before you leave the store. I didn’t because I had my daughter with me and I didn’t want her to see what I got

I purchased an item this morning for curbside pickup as I have an injury and cannot go in the store. I was under the impression that curbside orders should be ready within two hours of purchase. Almost four hours later, I got a notification saying that the item I ordered was no longer available for pickup. Had they not waited four hours to begin processing the order, maybe I would have gotten the item I already paid for before it sold out in the store.

Went into target to do grocery shopping and pick up a game I order for store pickup that’s sold out everywhere else.Do grocery shopping. Spend about 45 minutes shopping. Checkout.Then head to pickup for online order at customer service area… it’s not ready yet. The main just stared at me and said it’s not ready yet and gave me nothing else to do. Just stared at me all befuddled like there was nobody available to go grab the game from electronics… advised me to just cancel the order and go buy it there instead… cool. Let me cancel an order of a low availability item and get a refund and go buy it again in back. Get back to electronics and they don’t have the PS5 version probably sitting in some cart floating around the store and nobody bothered to make a call to manager and help just stare at me like I’m asking for their first born.Poor customer service. What’s the point of online pickup in store if you can’t actually pick it up in the store and everyone looks at you like you’re asking them to do their job.Pitiful.

The store was a disaster. The shoe section had shoes out of boxes piled up on the floor. Trash around, products I wanted were chipped, broken, or unavailable. Summer patio furniture was removed to make room for school supplies 2 full months before school starts. It was awful. I will never return to this location. I have loved target for 30 years, but Walmart is cleaner and better stocked, which is something I NEVER thought I’d say.

This review is regarding Curbside Pick Up only.Staff are clueless, unreachable by phone while in drive up pickup area. Long wait time.If I have to come in the store to find my order or get info on it - that eliminates the entire concept of curbside pickup. Never, ever will I deal with this store again!! Regarding in-store pick up:Placed an order at 3:24pm and went to run in to grab other things around 5:45pm-6:00pm. Checked to see if my order was ready and it was not ready. They said they don’t know when it would be ready and that they are understaffed and remodeling. Not an excuse to not have things ready for pick up ESPECIALLY when it’s been almost 3 hours. The point is, “I don’t know” is not an answer. Highly disappointed and this store has been a mess. No longer going to this one and just going to Stonecrest instead.

Avoid this Target at all cost! After calling to locate a couple of items, I asked Kristen if she had the items and confirmed the specific details. She assured she had them, I thanked her and advised I would be in shortly. After she stated placing an online order would take several hours to process! 30-40 minutes later I was in store to make my purchase. Once at guest service I asked for the items to make my purchase. I kindly told the employee that I had items placed on hold, Kristen turned and replied she didn’t put them on hold! Subsequently I reminded her that I stated I would be in shortly. After she confirmed she had them, after confirming the specifics. In the midst of doing so, in so many words she told me I was lying! Mind you I drove 20 mins from Cotswold, to waste gas at this high price rate only to lie on Kristen. Makes sense right? Not even! I went to the women’s department to check for the items, where another employee was there, and helped me to check. Only to realize they were not in stock, and per the system was last sold in August. Since it is only July, I assume that meant august of 2021 and not 2022. Not once did Kristen apologize or offer to go look for the items, nor did she follow up in the department. This store and it’s management team are racist, and practices discriminatory measures. I am sure if I had blonde hair and blue eyes it would have went significantly different! This is a pattern and practice for this store! It’s very different then what you would expect compared to shopping at Walmart! Seems they are one in the same. If anything similarly has happened to you I implore you to join my complaint to the BBB as well as the NAACP!

I wanted to purchase an item in the electronics department but needed an employee to unlock it. I waited in the area for several minutes, but no employees were around to help me. I called the store and asked if they could have someone come to electronics to help me, and they said they would send someone over. I waited a total of 15 minutes for someone to come help me but no one ever came. I went to guest services at the front of the store and asked if someone could help me, and apparently none of the numerous employees in that area could, nor could any of the employees they reached out to via walkie-talkie. Apparently no one in the store had keys and/or access to retrieve items in the electronics department/back room on a Friday afternoon.I understand there are labor shortages, but it does not make sense to leave the electronics department unstaffed (it seems guest services had at least 10 employees around). An employee should be there not only for security purposes, but to unlock and sell some of the highest priced items in the store.The item I wanted was in stock only at this location according to the Target app, but as I didn’t have all day for them to figure out who could accomplish the simple task of retrieving the item, I left and went to the Stonecrest Target a few minutes down the street. They had several employees in the electronics department who were very pleasant and helpful.

At some point in the last couple of years this Target has deteriorated into a trash heap. Arrived looking for a couple of shirts and a few housewares, left empty handed because what few options there were to choose from were tossed about. The entire women's clothing section was a disaster area. Walmart in Indian Land is usually a complete dump but it's still nicer than this Target.
