If I could give zero stars- I would. Sunday I dropped my Persian off for a lion cut. We have been here before and this is possibly the worst cut ever. We were charged $80.00. I am now trying to find a groomer to fix the hack job on my cat. See pictures for the quality cut we received.

TL;DR This place is great, specifically Anna, you won’t regret coming here!Specifics: For my small dog this place is $65, $60 if you reschedule your appointments for a bath and full grooming and that’s pretty good. About average cost for other groomers I’ve tried, maybe slightly under. I’ve come here about 5 or so times now and every experience has been wonderful, or made wonderful. The first time I was specific in what I wanted because my dog, Xanthe, has been getting groomed since she was 3 months old, she’s almost 2 now - her hair (she’s a Shih-Tzu so she has hair and not fur) just grows so rapidly and she gets hot very easily. They were the first groomers to give me exactly what I wanted, only it wasn’t what I pictured in my head. But that’s on me because it was exactly what I had said (usually groomers took my requests generally and did their own thing and only at the most expensive place I’ve been did it turn out well). So the second time, when we met Anna/Anna was the one to work on my dog, I was specific again but modified based on the few things I wish they had done the first time. Again, it was even better and exactly what I asked for and very close to perfect but still just a touch off. So the third time I noted that everything was perfect except these tiny details and BAM, the PERFECT groom! Exactly what I wanted and pictured in my head. And this is only coming every 6 weeks, so remembering what I like is so impressive! The fourth time my appointment got messed up a little and we didn’t get Anna and were accidentally placed with a different groomer. She did well, but she didn’t understand my specifics (and I didn’t know how to convey them properly since I couldn’t say “like last time”) so Xanthe came out nice but not what I wanted. I was a bit upset but called them about it and they had me come in that same week to get it fixed for free :) so that definitely made up for the experience. Anna fixed her and made her perfect again. But the part that stood out to me the most was even though it was a quick, free appointment, Anna didn’t rush through it and just cut the areas I mentioned (mainly her legs were left too long), she trimmed her legs, ears, and cheeks as I had asked but also around her feet, eyes, and just general spots on her I guess she thought could have been better. And trimmed and ground her nails a bit more which is really a feat with my dog who STRUGGLES when someone is touching her nails (and honestly a bit in general - but she is so patient with her). That just really showed me how much Anna cares about her craft and customers and I LOVED it. She didn’t even want to accept my measly little $5 tip but I insisted :P I know Xanthe is not an easy customer with her separation and general anxiety with getting groomed (she’s unfortunately had some bad experiences with other groomers), and then her mom’s (me) even greater separation anxiety so I stand there and watch even though they probably don’t like that, despite their website saying it’s fine :P but they do a wonderful job so I intend to come back here for as long as Anna works here, maybe longer, or until Xanthe has crossed the rainbow bridge in 20+ years - or at least it better be that long or longer :P hopefully even if we end up moving it won’t be too far away so I can keep coming back. And I love that they’re open on both weekend days which makes it so convenient to get appointments around my work schedule. They also say they offer teeth brushing and anal gland expression, included in the price, I’ve not personally seen that done but I’m sure they would if I ever pressed the issue :)LOVE THIS PLACE, specifically Anna ^-^

Loved how his haircut came out ! And the staff there are very sweet and kind ! Couple months later I took my gsd there for the first time they loved her love how she looked cleaned there was a groomer sitting outside with her while waiting for me to come pick her up they said the loved her loved the compliments!! 10/10

Anna and Star are the greatest!!!! They do so good with my 3 babies and they are so helpful when it comes to transporting them in and out of the shop. Thank u guys for always keeping JJ,Ginger,and Dinero looking good

Disappointing is the word of the day. Took Zion in today for a trim because he is a long hair-Rottweiler. Beautiful coast but his hair in the hind area began to catch all his good stuff. Informed the receptionist that needed trim around his butt area not a cut bur a trim. She mentioned a Sani-cut and I said no he needs a trim. She said to stop the things from getting in his hair and I informed her that we always wipe him down before coming back into the house. So I trim would work. Asked that they trim his hind legs also to align with the trim. Well the photos below tells the story of a trim gone wrong. His hind area is totally jagged and uneven and his private ares is basically shaved and on display. In addition, his has red areas developing. The said part is I left a tip because he was there almost two hours beyond his time cause I thought since we were late picking him up I could at least pay for the time he was there. Well, come to find out we did not get a call saying he was ready for pick up.They usually only do his bath and I should have stuck with that. Won't be returning. Should have known something was wrong when they were hesitant to bring him out and did not go over what all was done. Not sure where the directions was lost between the groomer and the receptionist or the receptionist not understanding what I wanted.If you are looking for a bath you are good but anything else such as a trim or true grooming find someone else.

Yesterday my dog Toby was seen at this DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT! First and foremost the groomer had a very nasty attitude, which did not even compare to the OWNER’S UNPROFESSIONAL attitude. If I am walking into a groomer with instructions on how I want my pet groomed, that is what should be done. What should not be done is a groomer telling me (a client) that what I want is stupid. (i.e. I requested the ears be left fluffy and was told “that is stupid”) I PAID $70 for an awful, uneven, botched haircut and on top of that I tried calling the owner and of course instead of my concerns being heard I got hung up on. PLEASE BE AWARE of this establishment, there are many other options in the area with better prices who care for not only the fur babies but there clients. If I could give 0 stars I would! Anyone looking through these comments should try the PetSmart on Perimeter woods (Ask for Yenny)If the owner does decide to contact me in a profesional manner and TRY to resolve this issue I would love to update my review. Below are pictures attached of the rude groomer and her uneven work.

Basic shampoo, cut, blow out and whatever else they do bc they sure don’t really communicate much when you pick your dog up. Just like- here’s your dog-ok bye!My poodle nails were sharp as a thumb tack. I couldn’t take him jumping up on me bc ANNA did not file them-she just cut them. Also, she cut all his belly hair off-left my baby with cuts and bruises under his arm area. She did not touch his ears at all. She cut too close and she also exposed his balls…for what?! That’s not what I explained to the other girl that took him. Someone should have went and got the groomer, in the first place so I could talk to her and tell her directly. Poor job …I’ll take my baby somewhere else.And oh…when I came in at 9:30am-I was told by the nonchalant young guy at the front desk that the groomer(s) was out back. Well, they must’ve left the door open bc it smelled like weed when I walked in. When I came back to pick him up, it smelled like flowers. Ha!The only thing I Iiked about his service was the price-because Petsmart is way too high!Ok bye. ✌🏽

I went in to get my dog groomed before the appointment I called and explain the condition my dog was in and explained that I didn’t want them cut the body of my dog ,and that I just wanted a mini groom. Meaning I wanted them to focus for on the bath part . When I tried to explain that in person the lady she went on about how I couldnt do that and how I never explained that to them on the phone before, which was wrong , because she wasn’t even the person that I had talked to previous to me showing up . I feel like the way the whole situation was handled was wrong and I asked for the manager number the police was called on me.

This is the second time that I've brought my dog here. They were very nice both times. The first time they took their time and gave her a good grooming. This time they rushed through it. I got a call to pick her up in less than an hour. I've had her for 4 years and it usually takes at minimum 2 hours. Her face looks like it wasn't touched, her body has sporadic long hairs and it seems like they used some type of dry shampoo. They offered to correct it but she has anxiety and she gets really worked up after a groomers visit so I did not want to put her through the trip to go back. Overall it's a good place but I would triple check your dog before leaving to assure you get what you paid for. I definitely overpaid for the service I received.

I have been going there for almost 4 years. It was a five and I recommended to everyone. I will always choose a local business and the customer service was awesome. That had been sliding for some time but I kept trying. Following a groom we an emergency vet visit for eye abrasion and treatment. I didn’t even contact because things happen and he healed ok. Then the appointments almost became stressful. Calls to change time early so they can close up. Then a 30 minute full groom and rushed back to pick up after multiple calls and texts after being told and hour. I will take the call today to cancel my appointment for over booked as a sign to move somewhere else for grooming and no longer recommend. I do hope they are able to gain the customer service back.

I recently entrusted this groomer with my two small dogs for grooming, they were returned with subpar cuts but I let it slide, even tipped because I'm in the service industry. By the next morning, one dog was pink with burns and one must have been cut in his genital area. This wound resulted in infection and pain which had to treated by a vet. Oral antibiotic, pain killer, topical cream, and a cone later, my cost was $160.00, a morning off work, and a miserable dog. I tried to contact Pet Pause the day after service, driving to their location twice, but they were closed. I then went in the following day and explained the situation and asked for a refund on the groom and for payment of my medical bills. This is a reasonable request and it was done in a reasonable, polite fashion. I was told this would be passed along to the owner. Before I made it home, the groomer called and quite proudly informed me they didn't have to do any refunds, much less pay the medical bill. She was beyond rude. I went back to address the situation in person and she was quite surprised that running your mouth over the phone might result in face to face interaction. I again asked for the owners information, while she hid behind a wooden door yelling for her coworker to call the police? Really? Absolutely no threat was made. Her coworker declined to call as he seemed to have more common sense and gave me the name of the owner. The groomer then yelled over her little door that I should have brought my dog back to them for medical treatment. I'm quite positive prescribing antibiotics is not their area of expertise, of course, grooming does not seem to be either. Because of this young woman's foul mouth, her lack of grooming skills, and overall demeanor, I highly suggest taking your beloved animal elsewhere. Please note that the owner has made no effort to reach out to me.

Absolutely furious with this company. I made my appointment 3 weeks ago. I specifically told the child running their front desk that I only came to this groomer because they allowed me to be with my rescued dog while being groomed. Without me there he won't allow anyone to do anything to him. I moved my work schedule around to make this work. We show up and they inform me that they're over booked and it is not possible for me to stay. Why did I make this appointment so far in advance if you aren't going to honor the arrangements that are required for my dog? I appreciate the entire waste of my time but I will not be recommending this location to anyone."I don't know what we're gonna do but he's 13 years old and comes with a muzzle"Btw your building isn't sound proof and my dog shouldn't be shamed for wearing a muzzle. That was a courtesy to ensure your safety.

These guys used to be fabulous groomers and fabulous people in there now they’re rude and nauseous. I don’t do their job and when you ask them to correct her job to get highly defensive, would not recommend anymore to any of my friends or anybody else to take her animals there

Absolutely fabulous experience. My normally nervous poodle did wonderful and I was able to be in the room and hold him during grooming. The head groomer worked on him and she was very knowledgeable about his breed and was very loving towards him. He looked absolutely beautiful when she was done. Best grooming experience ever and the owner Allison is awesome. We won't be going anywhere else for grooming.

I have been taking my dog(s) to Pet Pause since they opened their business. I have always been satisfied with the services performed. Mydog is now an old girl who recently had a stroke. She is always treated very carefully by the groomer due to her age. The owner is also very responsive and a good steward in the pet community.

We took our dog here after our family groomer had to cancel due to a family emergency. We saw the good reviews for this company and though why not. My mom dropped her off and I called to confirm that we’d like a puppy cut for my dog. Not super low and to clean up around her face. Well... my dog doesn’t even look the same. There are patches over her eyes and a few on her body from a bad cut. She even had a bleeding nail from her nail being cut too short and NO ONE said A THING about it. We only found out once I examined her when we got home. I’m highly disappointed and won’t be using this company again, sadly. On the flip side, I did find a cute dress for her from the boutique.

We took out baby Choco-latte a 7 month old Sheltie-doodle for his first grooming on April 30th at 10:AM. And what a surprise and disappointment. We scheduled a month out and the place was still over booked with back to back dogs getting groomed. It seemed very rushed and careless. We got our puppy back with a partial cut on the legs and choppy haircut all around, one ear longer than the other side. The worst part was, when they called me to come pick him up he was crying and barking. He was cute because of just his hair being cut. But oh boy! He was not liking the experience come to find out. I picked him up and had hair all over my T-shirt and all over him. It was another dogs hair all over his body. He literally had hair all over him and when we got home we was shaking his head and scratching all over. Poor baby had the worst experience ever! Beware and stay away.

My pet has oral cancer, and I have taken her there for a bath about 4 times and no issues, I called to get her schedule for another bath and I was told that the person in charge of grooming did not feel comfortable giving her a bath so they would no longer groom her.... this is discrimination she is sick, but she still needs grooming. This showed me that this place do not care about your pet, I do not recommend them....

1st time taking my 5month old standard poodle to groomer, i went her because it's on my side of town and most reviews were positive, I had a great experience, they introduced us to all the staff that would be working with Bea and gave me tips regarding stuff i can do at home to make future visits positive also, reasonably priced , they even sent me a text mid appointment tellling me she was doing great!

Sabrina is my go-to groomer, and I've been having my dog Winston groomed by her for years! She is the best in Charlotte that I've found. Other groomers just cut whatever way is convenient and saves them time, but Sabrina makes sure that my little man is as handsome as he can be! He's part Bichon/part Poodle, so his cut is "special" (read: time consuming) -- especially because I like him to have a Bichon-shaped face. Also, my dog knows Sabrina really cares about him, because although he's been known to get frantic around other groomers, he loves her and doesn't mind her bathing him or cutting his hair. I'm grateful I found Sabrina -- I don't know what I'd do without her!

Was able to schedule a grooming appointment quickly and in the same week of my call. They were efficient and reasonably priced. Our rough coat collie seemed to do well with the groomer and we were happy with the results.
