Edit* The baby who is all black has passed. I will cherish these pics forever. I started coming here after Pet Supermarket closed down. Their prices are great and I'd rather go here than one of the big chain stores. We've been here so much that they know my doggies now! And the doggies got pics with Santa! Had to add more. This place is so great. They are cheaper than the place I was getting my dogs groomed before and they don't keep my dogs for 3+ hours. I love this location! Needing to update my review again. The Black dog in my pic passed away so it hurt to leave my baby girl only to get groomed. The young lady was so nice and asked if she could hug me when I told her why I let Sasha's nails get so long. These are good people and you should come here instead of these more popular stores. I hope they never go anywhere.

Always have great experiences here. I have a fearful rescue pup, and a very timid foster, and it’s much less stressful than the large pet stores for baths and nail trims.

First time visiting, and i love that they focus on healthy products for your lovely pets. Also, a lot of gorgeous and thick coats and harnesses and it is expensive but you don’t find those in petsmart or petco. The only downside is that the only sell like 6 types of fish food and one brand which is aqueon. And that’s all they have for aquariums.

We have been coming here to have dog grooming done for several years. The people are always very friendly, and the skill and talent they have in the grooming department is impeccable. I would highly recommend pets in the city for grooming of any breed. They are really top-notch.

We get our company supplies from this store when taking care of four legged friends! We also only feed our own furry friends food from this store. They have an excellent grooming salon that keeps our golden in tiptop shape when we bring him! Highly recommend this store! It is always a fantastic experience! Horrible customer service. The owner was nice at first but showed her real colors once I had and incident with employee. The fat girlAt front counter is nasty and rude to colored people. Very discriminating and rude. Black folks do not spend your money here !!

First time going here to get a dog wash. Go in girl tells me it’ll be about 15-20 minutes because the person using it was finishing up then a yorkie was in front of us. First person finishes she goes outside to get the yorkie owner. I tell her I’m going to sit in my vehicle blue suv right in front of the door. Tells me she’ll come get me when the yorkie finishes. I see the yorkie come out so I get my dog and go in. I see another dog going in so I ask wasn’t I behind the yorkie. She says yes but they are currently working through the mess? So I ask how long will it be now after she let that person ahead of me then give another person tokens to go ahead of me. Says 20 minutes again so I just tell her to cancel it. No apology or acknowledgment of their mess up.

After taking time away from work to come the store manager claims my inside dog that is on flea meds claims my dog has fleas HOWEVER she could not find a flea only “flea dirt” my dog is an English with a yeast issue documented by the vet. Highly upsetting since we come here often.

We love this store. We shop here for our cats specifically because of the knowledgeable staff. We first heard about it from a friend who loves their dog wash. Best pet store around won’t shop anywhere else.

I used to love this store. In fact, I come regularly for the dog wash, and the last time I came I felt so belittled I will never come back again. Forget customer service, I felt like I was spoken to as if I was a misbehaving child. Not to mention it takes me 25 minutes to drive to your place just for that wash. You can keep your dog wash.

My Boston Perry loves Pet in the City!The staff is super friendly, so much so that he gets all wiggly and excited as soon as I pull into the parking lot. After experimenting with numerous foods I was able to find just what I needed here, they carry a lot of brands that you can't find anywhere else. The bath is great, super affordable and easy to use relative to trying to rub shampoo on a squirmy puppy at home.If you consider your pets to be part of the family and are looking for a locally owned pet store with great advice, product and services to create a relationship with, check out Pet in the City... they are the best!

The best bath my pup has ever had, he’s had two bath here so far and has left smelling so fresh each time. Hes a pitty so he doesn’t have much hair but he has left other groomers still smelling like he was washed in dirty water. Pricing is comparable to other groomers in the south Charlotte area. Everyone there is great. Tenial does my boy, shes very sweet.

Great experience stopping in for some treats and other doggy needs today. The staff was very helpful in helping me locate the products I needed and answering questions. Can’t beat a locally owned shop!

Tara and Sydney are awesome at what they do. They will help you decide the best food for your pup but they are so kind especially if there is allergy/limited ingredient diet. I wasn’t pleased by the customer service. Came in for the first time to use the self wash for my dog and was told it would be a 20 min wait. I told the cashier it was my first time here and she said she would walk me through it once it was my turn. I decided to wait at the front by the chest freezers until the person ahead of me was done. The same cashier checked them out and didn’t acknowledge or waved me over to tell me it was my turn. She continued chatting with two of her co workers until I had to go over to her to asked her if the self wash was open. I will not come back due to the poor customer service here.

I took my dog Jetta, a spaniel mix, to be groomed somewhere we'd never been-I chose Pet in the City because of the reviews and their web site and how easy the whole process was! Tiffany did a wonderful job with Jetta, who hasn't been that clean in a long, long time. She took the time to discuss anything I had questions about and had a gentle and sweet disposition. I I really liked that I could make an appointment online, and the store policies and expectations were comprehensive and reasonable and very easy to access through their website!We'll be back, for sure! Without a doubt, this is absolutely the BEST pet store in the Carolinas, Charlotte is lucky to have you! Upon walking in, the store was clean, the customer service was awesome and the variety of products (at great prices) keeps me coming back! We LOVE Pet in the City! They have the best selection of food and treats. The staff is always so nice and they even have in town delivery which is so convenient. Recently a delivery order I placed was a day late and they gave my pup a free toy and a sweet hand written note. Now that is how you keep a customer for life!

One of the best pet stores in Charlotte. They have an amazing knowledgeable staff that will answer all your questions about nutrition and the best products on the market for dogs from harnesses to bones.There self wash station is so easy to use and comes with shampoo/conditioner and blow dryer. It’s always clean and they are adding an additional one! If you don’t like to do it yourself. Their groomer Claire is phenomenal for my Akita & Husky mix. She’s so patient and my dogs love seeing her. The owner Tara, is also a valuable resource and works hard to support the community and has done a fantastic job supporting other local business.
