Went here a few times to get my pet rats and their stuff, staff were always helpful and friendly. I was surprised to catch a baby Dumbo rat in their rattie tank! She is absolutely precious and very sweet. Recommend this place for rats if you’re looking!

If I could of put negative I would The Worst place to buy pet got bunny for my daughter and the bunny was sick or something the lady told me that bunny got in fight that why he had some spot on the back but after 10 days it got worse I brought the bunny back they charge me $20 for restocking fee and then they saying that not how you do business yeah that not how you do businesses selling sick animals and then charging people to take your sick animals back and the bunny was so physical you couldn’t even touch it horrible place

My son loves this place and the owners are awesome which makes my 30 min drive not too bad I suppose. Their isn’t many fish stores around that are good and of all the ones we’ve visited, this is the one.Definitely check it out if you’re thinking about it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the stock and the quality.

Went in just to scout out some fish and Brett guided me to fish I never knew I wanted LOL. He was very patience with me being a beginner and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Lets just say I left with 5 bags of fish...

This is my 2nd time coming to this store. I brought a tank back because someone gave us one. They gave me store credit which was fine with me. I wanted to get more stuff from there anyways. I was looking around for a while making sure I had the right stuff since it’s my first time owning a reptile. I also spoke to the manager and ask her opinion on some things. My experience today was terrible to say the least. I would never go back there. The manager made me feel very uncomfortable as if I was stealing. It’s very open, and I continuously communicated with her the entire time about what she thought I may need and suggestions on other items. She made a comment to someone else about me walking around for a long time. You shouldn’t ever make a customer feel that way when they are shopping. If you think they’re stealing, maybe offer more assistance instead of talking about them! It’s real bad when your children notice as well. Although she made me feel that way I still appreciate her and the other employees assistance when I did ask questions the first time.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!I found this place online, looked over their website & was interested to come check it out in person! My husband and I visited this past Sunday. We browsed the whole store, looking at all of their animals & were greeted several times by employees. Once we'd seen what we wanted to see, I narrowed my focus onto the Hermit Crabs. The employee who helped us was very nice & let us take our time selecting, showing us each crab for sale. The crabs seemed to be in great shape!! Various sizes, but I'd never seen any THIS BIG!! We chose 2 Extra Large & 2 Medium Hermit Crabs, along with some shells & accessories. They are doing great! They love their new home & have adjusted well! Very Healthy & One has already changed shells! I will definitely be back!!

Stop by this place just to check out what kind of fancy they had. Was a little disappointed since they didn't had much to offer. On the other hand, they did had other kinds of fish that I founded to be quite the scale/size (really nice).

I always enjoy talking to people who know what they are doing, and these people know their stuff. As a novice to the fish keeping world, the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. They answered each of my questions happily and were excited to explain concepts in the hobby without being overbearing or preachy/condescending. I will say this place mainly focuses on fresh water fish and plants. They also have lots of birds and some pocket pets. If you have some free time one Saturday, go check them out!

Always on hand to help but never hovering or rude, not to mention they actually understand the animals in the store instead of the cue card explanations from the big box pet stores. If you value your time, money, and want friendly knowledgeable staff, you can't go wrong here.

The animals here are kept in really poor conditions, specifically the hamsters and other rodents that I saw. They had multiple hamsters in enclosures with barely any bedding for them to burrow and a sorry excuse for a hide that could barely fit one hamster in it. They were fighting just to get a spot underneath it. They all appeared stressed. The wheel looked like it was 50 years old and was WAY too tiny for a Syrian hamster. Not to mention those wire wheels are outdated and known to cause injuries to their feet. The size of the wheel was maybe big enough for a tiny mouse to run on but certainly not a hamster. This place made PetSmart and Petco look good as far as their care for small animals.. Not sure if the owner is uneducated on how to humanely care for pets or if they just don’t care. It was really sad to see. Would never spend a dime here.

If you have any dignity or any pride in yourself, let this be the last place you shop at. They have no respect for veterans. Nor do they have any respect for just human life. They're rude and disrespectful from the owner to his employees. It's not only that if you pay close attention, they also have a lot of dead fish in these tanks. They're selling fish from it. Is something to be said about that as well.

I bought to ferrets from here about 3 years ago and they are doing great healthy eating playing go here for any animal need they are the best

These people are great. They've always been very kind and patient with my questions. I have had the same experience every time I've gone there over the last 3-4yrs. When you first walk in someone greets you. I've always seen someone cleaning the tanks then they'll ask if you need anything and stop to help - then get back to it. I've purchased fish, geckos, plants, and aquarium and vivarium decorating elements. They're my Go-To when I'm seeking a oddball. Sure you may find things cheaper (you might save a dollar or 2 big woop. theyre very fair and well priced), but I rest easy knowing they're healthy, a family business, what you purchase has been cared for, and you'll receive quality specimens with good genes.Zero times have I taken a fish home and it die or bring Ick or something. They can double their prices and I'd keep coming in.I won't name the other stores but they don't come close to the cleanliness, health, and quality to these guys. It's impressive.

I Went to buy a pet for my kid and was sold the wrong pet; we ended up loving the pet however when telling the shop about the issues they offered no resolution other than an apology, no resolution, nothing .. just know what you are going to buy and what it look like as a baby so you will not be sold the wrong OVERPRICED animal. Shop elsewhere or be sold the wrong animal. I know they have been in business for a while, since I was a kid in fact … don’t let them trick you out of your money. They are not experts.

Called ahead, asked if they had teddy bear hamsters. They said they had black hamsters and that they’re almost as fuzzy as teddybear hamsters. So I drove 40 minutes just to show up and then only have white, non fuzzy hamsters. (Fuzzy but not long hair like a teddybear) Talked to a lady there, explained that I was told they had black ones. She asked if I called the right place, I did as it’s the only one I called and their only location. She said her employees know they don’t have black ones. Great. 👍

These guys have been here since I moved to Charlotte in 2009. They are knowledgeable about the products and pets they sell. Always have what we need to maintain and keep our pets healthy. Highly recommended
