I’ve been using Granbar Kennel for 2 years. My dog is not very dog friendly, so other kennels where dogs stay together might not work for her. But Granbar provides each dog an individual suite with an outdoor patio attached. Also, I like them because they’re flexible on schedules, unlike some places where they won’t give any refund for cancellations. Here, I can just give them a call to change the schedule or extend a few days of boarding and they will even provide food if I didn’t leave enough. Overall, I’m grateful that there’s a place for my dog when I’m traveling out of town.

Fantastic groomers!! They were so sweet and genuinely cared about the wellbeing of my older dog and her special needs. After months of not being groomed, my dog had so many mats close to the skin. They took her in at 9am and got her back at 4pm with no mats, no dirt, perfectly pristine again!!100% would recommend anyone looking for caring groomers that are incredible at their job!!! Definitely going back again!

When we evacuated for the hurricane we took our pets to the kennel in Charlotte. They were great and kept us informed and worked with us on extending their stay. Friendly employees, nice atmosphere. My cat seemed to really enjoy herself. My dog started growling at them, I don't know why, but they kept him. The only thing I didn't live was the fleas they came home with, but that is unavoidable with kenneling.

I had to book a last minute stay with 2 of my 3 pups, they would have been able to take all 3 but with the two they took care of I am happily impressed! Thank you for kind service, and a "mom and pop" feel to caring for my pups! I will be using them again!

Friendly staff and reasonable pricing but i did not appreciate how my pup was treated. I provided a bed and some toys for my dog to keep him him comfortable because we were away for a full week. I didn’t think it was too much to ask to simply put that stuff in the kennel he was staying in. When we picked him up his bed was in the corner where we left it, perfectly clean and brand new. no toys had been taken out of the bag and barely any food i provided was used. Needless to say, I’m guessing my dog slept on a concrete floor for 5 days and who knows if he ate. Will not be returning.

Terrible place! My dogs were neglected and abused! One had his nails cut to the bone the others nails were long and curled under, one is missing teeth and has what appears to be spider bites on his legs and an ear infection/mites. When i went to get them the place looked abandoned, the grass was waist high, the grooming station was piled up as if these ppl went out of business and the owner implied they had. He had one excuse after another for the condition of the property and my dogs. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!

I took my long haired mixed breed medium sized dog to get groomed and they did a terrible job. It looks choppy and very uneven. You can see the chop lines from the individual cuts. There are parts that are maybe an inch long and right next to it will be a spot that's 3 inches long. It's really bad. The main reason why I wanted to have her groomed was for her shedding, which I told them. When I got her home, I took NINE brush fulls of fur off her. NINE! Terrible location, very difficult to find and the sign in very hard to see. Staff was nice, perhaps fine for boarding, but I will absolutely not be taking her there for grooming again. It's unfortunate that I'm now going to have to take her somewhere else to have them fix it cause it's simply that bad.*******UPDATE******** The owner issued me a full refund but refused to acknowledge the poor quality by merely making excuses saying "keep in mind that sometimes the dogs move." I have taken my dog to groomers before when I lived in another state and have never had work this bad. I've had people ask me if I tried to groom her myself and when I say "no, this is a professional job" the next question is always "have you complained yet?" or "have you gotten a refund?" I just don't know how you can stand by work that poor.

I have been using Granbar for many years, probably 12 or so. I have never considered another place to board my dogs.They not only take care of my dogs, they love them. I have to travel a fair amount, but I never have to worry about my dogs when I am on the road. My little dog Buddy actually gets excited when we pull into the Granbar parking lot. He knows he is going to see his friends.

I had my dog groomed and I when my husband picked him up and got him home. I saw him and he definitely doesn't look like a schnauzer hair cut, his nails were not grinded like I asked they were cut because they were sharp. I called and complained,but it really didn't get anywhere so with that said I will not bring my dog back.

They kenneled my chocolate lab and rubbed or vacation. My lab is not fixed and because they noticed a discharge after he truncated they put him on in prescribed and unnecessary antibiotics. I spent my vacation on the phone with them and his very, who had to call and explain that a mail intact dog will have this, and it is normal. Not only did they not consent me, we left or vacation early so we could get it dog back. He was filthy when we picked him up after for days. They do not have a vet onsite and should not me prescribing meds that have not been consented with owner. They spoke to a very over the phone that told them what to do without seeing our examining my dog. I wouldn't leave anything in their care!

I have been taking my dog to Granbar Kennel for 5 years. When he first started going he was a little thing and now 150lb baby. The staff is great with him and I'm truly appreciative of all of their hard work.

Banjo did great at the kennel. The lady I met was super excited to meet Banjo and was just as excited when I came to pick him up.Pricing is perfectly reasonable. I worked at a kennel before and this definitely had a similar vibe. As the owner of a dog who doesn't play well with others, it was great to find a kennel that kept dogs in separate play areas for outside time.Banjo will be returning in a month while mommy and daddy get married.

I took my dog to GranBar a couple of times. At first glance, the place seems creepy. The staff is really nice, but I think that is where the best about this place ends. Each time I picked up my dog. she immediately had to relieve herself as if she had been holding it in for the duration of her stay! If you choose to have your day boarded at GranBar, don’t bother paying for “extra playtime”. Your dog does not benefit from you paying your hard earned money. Not going to share my sons experience at GranBar with his dog because it is enough to make anyone angry! Word of Advice/ DO NOT board your pet here!

Pros:-Friendly staff-Good job grooming for my old english sheepdog-Had a good grooming deal onlineCons:-Building NEEDS to be updated and cleaned-My dog came home with a small gash on his front paw. At first I figured it was just b/c he doesn't like his paws to be touched and he must've moved it when they used the cutters. After looking at the other reviews, I see many people had this issue as well. I confronted the groomer and told her my concern and she just said "I would've told you if I noticed"....hmm okay??

Came by a few days ago to scope it out. It seemed VERY dirty. It smelled awful, looked outdated, they take any kind of dog - I didn't feel safe there. I saw an employee toss a poodle into a cage. The boarding areas looked depressing and like they had not been cleaned in a while. I didn't see any animal getting individual attention, as promised. No thank you. To be fair, I was not swayed into becoming a paying customer but I wanted to share what turned me off.

I dropped my yorkie poo off to be groom when I picked her up she was terrified keep hiding in the closet and behind the door I feel she was mistreat and has burns on her chest, foot, and ears her hair was so tangled I had to cut the bow out. Her hair cut was awful ears where bout shaved off she was so upset I had to give her another bath when I got home. I will never take her back and I will not refer people to go here....

We've used this kennel several times. Staff has always been very nice and friendly. They have extra services that you can add on but no pressure to do so. No complaints.
