My review is a bit different. I'm in this store only occasionally. I've had two recent and fairly recent interactions that I feel need to be addressed. The first is not as significant as the other, that happened just yesterday where a lady working near the self checkout lanes began sweeping as I was checking out and even started trying to sweep right where I was standing and actually trying to checkout. i said to her, "don't sweep me, now." Please check your cameras for the footage, but it was after 10PM 4/30/24. However, I just backed up and told her, "go ahead, do your thing". I then asked why would she start trying to sweep where customers are trying to check out? Her response was something to the effect of sweeping due to an onion smell or something of that nature. I responded, "you should probably wait until a customer is not there checking out." She said, "I'll have to remember that." I just said, "yeah it would be good to remember."How does she or any other of the Food Lion staff (if it's the case) not know that? Or, just from living in general, it's a known common courtesy. If a person is occupying a space, it's common knowledge to not infringe on their space. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS AMONGST YOUR STAFF AND EMPLOYEES.

I liked the fruits and vegetables session in this shop. They are too fresh and you can get all fresh vegetables, dairy, Milk, bakery and also live snacks like wings, cheese rolls. All grocery and few kitchen utensils, wine also Available. The billing counters are spacious. Three to four self checkout counters are available. One can get items 1 or 2$ cheaper with their membership card.

My favorite store! I come here almost everyday and it’s the best! The staff is amazing, always so kind and helpful. The store is always stocked with my favorites. I prefer a cashier over self checkout but it’s still great because the self checkout employees are always amazing. A great store imho!!!

I came in looking for one thing and one thing alone. I swear I looked through all of the laundry/hygiene/kitchen aisles. I gave up and went to ask for help. Shannon did see one but she was busy working the self checkout, but she was able to communicate my needs to a coworker, Elijah, who was more than helpful at finding it, and gave me a very kind compliment, which I am grateful for since I am starting my first day at a new job. I appreciated their help greatly!!!!!

I went in to return some juices I purchased and the young long boy at the customer service desk immediately greeted me with an attitude and I corrected him . He asked for my ent card saying he had to make sure it was the one on the receipt which I know is a damn lie I been shopping at food lion for over 20 years they never asked to see a debt, credit card nothing because when the customer responsible for our card. He refused to wait on me after I checked his nasty attitude . I am tired of young black folks in Charlotte with nasty ghetto trifling attitudes but they kiss the ground wire customers walk on . I refuse to accept that kind of service from any race or person this has to be fixed

Convenient grocery store, right off of Tryon! Good looking hot bar, great fresh vegetables, and fair prices. Just not a fan of more self check lines than staff checking you out. All the grocery stores are doing this but that's the new way now!

If I could I would zero stars representing nothing because that is the way I was treated, by employee Donovan at Foodlion. He presents himself to be a racist person. I reported him to a supervisor on duty today. This store staff from top to bottom is very unprofessional, rude and gives a bad representation to Foodlion overall. Be careful if you have to frequent this location because Donovan and other employees will provoke you. Instead of bagging groceries, Donovan was standing around laughing and playing instead of providing services that Foodlion is paying him for. I allege and content that Donovan was working under the influence of alcohol and/or some other controlled substance, which I hope Foodlion does not allow employees to come to work intoxicated dealing with the public. Corrective action needs to be taken. Thank you.

My favorite store. Always neat and clean and there is always a friendly person around to help. They carry a lot of local and organic brands not in Walmart, PLUS the Food Lion brand veggie pizza is what good living is all about! When I had the flu Food Lion and Instacart were saving lives and making deliveries! Support good regional businesses!

This store is interesting. The exterior of the store is always dirty. The employees especially the evening ones. Look dirty, beat up, unfriendly, and always made me feel uncomfortable. Excluding the more mature workers. They always dress impeccably, well put together, and smells good. Last night i went there, the supervisor or whatever he was. Came storming out of the office. And started staring at me. He was looking sort of beat up with his hair was uncombed and look dirty af! He was looking at me trying to see if I was stealing. While I was looking at him and how he represent himself as a supervisor or whatever. Dirty, hood, unfriendly, bad customer service, and weird. Btw I’m referring to the supervisor and the store. It’s bad y’all 🤦🏽‍♂️

I've visited various Food Lions, and my expectations for grocery stores aren't usually high. Unfortunately, this particular one, despite its proximity (just 5-6 minutes away), is the worst. I'd rather drive to Concord or Huntersville. The store seems disorganized, with empty shelves and subpar produce—definitely not up to par, even compared to Walmart. The only positive note is the morning staff, who are friendly.

Employees are always pleasant. The sales are worth it and great for stocking up on certain items. I enjoy their produce more than anything, as it’s the cheapest you can find but still of great quality.

Yooooo they sell Food Lion brand girl scout cookies year round!!!! This deserves 5 stars just for that lol. This really is a nice store and they have everything you need most of the time. I can't believe they have those cookies though.

The store is organized like any other food lion store.The staff are friendly and helpful, and the quality of produce is good.The store seemed a bit empty. I don't know why, but when I left I saw a food lion truck pull in so maybe supply was late this day

Former food lion then bloom back again to food lion. It was better as bloom. They had so many offers better than Food Lion. The employees here are strict

They have a large selection and the prices are reasonable. The stocks were well stocked and the store is clean. The workers are friendly and helpful.

Never had a bad experience until today. Dave the manager on duty (3/11/2023) shame on you and your customer service skills. Food lion won’t loose much business with me going to Harris teeter but if Dave continues treating Customers like that you will see a decline in customers within the store. He is is dismissive when it comes to Customers concerns. No wonder staff members like Lexi and Joseph treat customers the way they do.

love this location but i had a weird experience there the other day - this woman was sitting on the curb and yelled something at me and i don’t typically turn around for strangers plus i was in a rush…so i keep walking and she starts yelling and swearing at me saying “did you hear me??”once inside, i tell an employee that she was harassing me and swearing at me. as i’m leaving, right as i get out to the curb the same female employee stops me and asked if i’m the one that complained about the lady IN FRONT OF HER. no joke we were 10 feet from her. obviously the lady heard and started yelling “OH HELL NO” and screaming. this is certainly not how you handle cases like this. why would the employee tell the aggressor who reported her?? could have turned out very badly for ME if this lady was violent or happened to have a weapon.

I usually buy my meats here but will be going to Publix for my meats from now on it's freezer n taste better the deli is not good poh yeah Publix subs are great you guys should make fresh subs fresh to order not wrapped they are horrible sorry but I'm just telling the truth

This store had everything I needed. There were three wonderful individuals who rang up my order and loaded my groceries into my cart. They also helped me get a Food Lion card on the app. Extremely pleasant and helpful.

This is the nastiest Foodlion I have ever been in. Food on the floor on almost every isle, homeless people shoving their hands in the fruits and vegetables and cramming it in their mouth like it is a buffet and I tried to find someone to tell but everyone was talking about how they just wanted to go home and how much they hate their job. Nasty place and I would definitely NOT recommend coming here for ANYTHING.

Best super market near UNCC. I always prefer food lion over any other. Stocks are full and everything is fresh. Weekly saving prices are good deals.

This store surprised me with their prices. As someone who frequently shops at Harris Teeter and Target, Food Lions prices were more expensive! You can get cheaper bread and milk at both stores. Two self check out registers which is nice. Overall clean store and decent employees. Good location.

I frequent this location (University area)because it is close to my home but after my trip today I will not be returning. For the last year or so the shelves are always empty and now this morning I’m finding expired or close (within a week) to expired items on the shelves the quality of this store has diminished .

Love the openness of the store. But, the deli department was not good. Ordered a pound of honey ham and a pound of honey turkey. By the time I got them to my hotel room, they were Terrible! The meat was very dry.
