Been a Harris Teeter shopper for the last 25 years, but it looks like it time to change grocer. I actually think this Food Lion has a better selection than Harris Teeter, and the prices are definitely better. Nicer produce selection, and the hot-wing bar is definitely a bonus!

Pretty good. I get good meat deals here. When you see something on close out sale in aisles, it's often out of stock. Produce is usually fresh and I'm glad they carry carrot juice.

These dummy rather watch someone who clearly needed assistance than to actually help. Clearly the qualifications to work here includes stare suspiciously at the customer instead of help the customer.

Cashiers need training. Young lady with braid’s standing at her register talking when I passed by and I asked was she open before I approached. She just stared at my cart trying to see how many groceries I had before she answered yes or no. I finally asked again was she open because it’s no problem I can go to another register and she hesitantly took me. After I payed she put my money and receipt in my hand like I’m bothering her that she has to work. No greetings nor pleasantries just annoyed that I bothered her.

Always clean. Good selections in produce, meats, dairy, and frozen sections. Self checkout is always available and working properly but at least two, usually more, cashiers available if you want.

Coretta was in the deli and bakery. She was awesome. Caught her in the middle of a project to clean and do deep cleaning for some of their rotisserie and cooking equipment. Being in a service industry I told her to take her time no worries. Awesome smile and eye contact and took care of what I needed. It's becoming more and more rare to find somebody who takes passion and care in the smallest things that need to be done. Thank you Coretta!!

Just dropped in for a couple things after dropping my car at the shop. Needed cash back. That was the smoothest transaction at a food lion I have ever experienced. The register froze up and the cashier kept her sweet kind attitude threw the whole transaction. I would give her 110 in customer service and she really did a great job. Thank you.

One of the most well managed Food Lions that there are. When was the last time the manager of a store introduced themselves to you??? Well I am on a first named basis with Steve the manager. He does a great job. The employees really like him too. They joke around and are happy to do their jobs. A young man was wheeling the grocery carts in and he stopped and said to me "No sir, you go first please." WOW! Manners!! How polite!. The store is clean and on par with Publix....cleanliness and the products being faced properly.....not prices. Keep it up. I stopped going to Harris Teeter because they went downhill FAST when Kroger bought them. Good job and thank you.

I go here all the time but I realized recently they increased the prices on a lot of the items I normally get when I go to shop. It’s clean and the associates are nice. No long lines at checkout.

I patronize several Food Lion locations and this one ,by far had the most self absorbed staff. They are on their cell phones and customer service here has a stinch of negativity. I politely asked the cashier to double bag the meats and bottled juices and you would've thought I asked her for Kidney donation! I normally shop at Plaza Extension location where service and staff equally are courteous and very customer oriented. Maybe you should allow your management to go over there for a tutorial and then you may attract more customers instead of losing me to relegate my purchases to the location I know won't disappoint me with service and courtesy.

I used to have this at 4 stars but recent experiences have caused me to decrease that rating and I probably won't return.They put in several new self checkout stations which is awesome when you only have a few things. Twice I've gone to check out with a cat full of food and ONLY the self checkout were available. Last night (8/23/23), was the second time. Three employees were standing around a register talking with each other about personal things but as soon as I approached I was told the register was closed and she pointed to the self checkout. I had about $200 worth of groceries in the cart.It would have been one thing if they were busy with something but they were just talking about what they like and don't, what they are planning when they get home. I mean, yay team building! but ignoring and dismissing customers is ridiculous.If there is some policy that after a certain hour only self checkout is available, then fine. If you are still going to hire personnel that have nothing to do but chit chat, have them do it in the break room.So infuriating. The little countertop could not hold all of my items so I was having to put bags into the cart while trying to get things out to scan still.They have good prices. They have built up their selection of international food ingredients. The entire strip mall it is located within could use some upkeep as it all has a dingy outward appearance.

This is a great local grocery store. I've been going there several times a week for over a year. The staff is always wonderful and they have become like friends. The produce is always fresh and really well priced. I've found the other items in the store to be consistently much cheaper than the HT. The only downside is they don't really have much of a bakery.

Amazing staff here. I shop here every Sunday and occasionally pop in during weekdays for things I forgot to pickup. Everything is clean and fully stocked here. Only downfall is that sometimes the dates on products are very close to expiration date or have already passed.

I work for Verizon and I'm big on customer service. I must say I don't usually have a good experience in this food Lion location but tonight the manager was a nice lady that observed me counting my groceries. She told me I could proceed to the express line anyway, very kind! She should the regional trainer of all supervisors. staff managers for food Lion immediately!! Hopefully this won't be a one-time thing..

This location never lets me down when I come into town. Vegetables and fruit are always fresh great wine selection everything I could possibly think of could do better with the seafood. It’s clean and friendly

Excellent service. Fast lines. Polite staff.The only thing is that they always seem to be out of the store brands, most recently peanuts and frozen strawberries. I love their store brands, but you never know when they'll be in stock, so it's a bit of a disappointment.

Always have a wonderful experience whenever I visit this location. Manager Will went above and beyond to find a product that was not on the shelf. I appreciated his dedication to customer service. Definitely will be shopping there for all of my household needs.

I alternate between here and the HT down the road. Food Lion is a great store. The produce people in this store take a lot of pride in the section. I usually spend so much less here and end up with more items. This FL has a hometown feel and less corporate.

I judge grocery stores pretty hard by their meat department. And their meat department might be small. But it’s on point! And they keep it stocked. Got some ribeyes from here a couple weeks ago and they were fracking awesome. Produce is usually on par with other stores. And they always have those dynamite meatball penne frozen meals in stock. I pick them over Harry’s or pubs most days.

Solid Food Lion with clean and orderly aisles. My only complaint is they have no idea how to bag. They put cans with bread and raw chicken with cheese. Even when I strategically place the food on the belt in the order it should be bagged they still can't figure it out. Oh well

Nice store. Conveniently located and accessible on my way home off 485. I purchased a cantaloupe and while putting it away I discovered it is way overripe on one side and not sure saft to eat. That was a disappointment as it was for guests. Just please check the others for similar blemishes. Thank you.

This food lion has gotten much better. A year ago I wouldn't have set foot in here but staff changes have made a big difference. They also have cleaned up alot and no longer have out dated merchandise.
