This is my preferred Food Lion in East Charlotte. It's clean, organized, and stocked well. I am happy with the produce section and the plentiful checkout options. Always an affordable and quick trip.

I do most of my shopping at this or another close Food Lion store. All in all the trips are cost effective, efficient, and the selection of items to meet my various needs is usually very good with a broad selection range.The staff is friendly and polite and the cashier's seem to genuinely want to befriend you and offer you the most pleasant and helpful experience they can.

Really check expiration dates on refrigerated items. This store is a little behind on keeping up with that. Other than that, its a fairly clean store and the employees are friendly. And there aren't usually people begging for money hanging around outside. (The store on Albemarle Rd in Charlotte is plagued with beggars/scamners. They are allowed to hang around the doors to pester customers.)

I was in the store too use the western union services, waited 25 minutes before someone to come to customer service. When the lady came out to help me, she was texting on her phone. If your employee put the phone down and help the customers. The service would be appreciated. But then answered to me that she had to call her manager.. most of your employees are too busy on there phones then helping customers

I’m a frequent shopper at this location. Two women employees, one Hispanic and the other one African American was very rude and disrespectful towards me. They were both whispering and giggling loudly about me like two high school children trying make fun of me when I was simply minding my own business and trying to shop. I wished I would have gotten their names so that I could blast them publicity. Like I’m shocked at such childish and unprofessional behavior at this place. Whoever these two women are, God don’t like ugly and you will reap what you sow. You better be careful how you treat people because it will come back to you.

The cashiers today were unprofessional and my cashier must knew a complaint was coming because my receipt have little ink on it knowing you suppose to change your paper so the customer can have a valid receipt. Use manners if you plan on working for customer service or work elsewhere.

This is how Foodlions has been doing things for the past 2 months. We have bought salads that were bad. Pasta helpers with no pasta and now this happened yesterday(3-13-20). Foodlion doesn't seem to care about their customers or their satisfaction.

Make sure to check dates on your stuff because I've accidentally bought expired products. I was not treated well by the person at customer service. It is a long story but felt accused of being a liar and thief. I will say I gave three stars because the manager did reach out to me and made it right so I appreciate it. Nonetheless, I prefer not to go to this location if at all possible.

Store is well-stocked, clean and staff is friendly enough. I would have given 5 stars if the self check-out attendant wasn't just a warm body and competent of how the self-checkout machines may periodically malfunction. It wouldn't momentarily accept my card as a result of screen continously buffering. I called the lady attendant over who simply asked and I quote "what's wrong with your card man". I responded, I think the buffering is the reason why it's not accepting my card. The attendant completely disregarded that information. Likely, as a result of not knowing how to correct it. Much easier to place the blame on my card. Yet, as soon as the screen cleared on it's own, my card was accepted. I would love to see that employee training manual, where one of the responses to assisting a customer is, " what's wrong with your card man"...lol.

Food Lion was very good. The fruits and vegetables looked good. The things I wanted were easy to find. The store was clean and the staff was friendly.

This Location wins the award for the rudest employees and management! Upon entering, I Literally counted 6 immediate employees on duty on their personal Cell phones! I see a change in upper management now that Marina is gone, HALLELUJAH! I really don't shop much at this location because I receive much better Customer service at the The Plaza Extension location! Let's look into cleaning up this mess and bringing awareness to CUSTOMER SRRVICE!!!

Today when I visited my favorite Food Lion, I was disappointed in one worker handling the self check out. She was rude to an elderly woman and touted around like it was her store with her big colored puff ball on her head.(blond puff, roots were black) I am a stickler for customer service and it just upset me the way she spoke and responded to anyone needing assistance. So sad, any other staff had always been so nice and respectful.

Most of the employees there are great--managers and cashiers have always been friendly in my case, but honestly I've only ever met a couple of them consistently. It's the other customers and the help desk that you have to watch out for; given the opportunity, they'll do anything to show any semblance of intellectual superiority. What great customer service /sHowever, this is more of a con from shopping around in this area of Charlotte.

They don't seem to know basic math...I've been going to food Lion for decades, whenever they have a buy-one-get-one deal that means you can always get one item for half price if you want just one. This is one of the reasons why I love shopping here... well today I bought one item which was originally 6.99, that would have made it 3.50 with the cashier mistakenly rang me up twice, it said 2 @ 6.99 totaling 13.98. after all the discounts came up, it said I paid 6.99. since I only had 1 item I knew that wasn't right. I'm trying to explain this at the return desk and the lady's telling me that they don't do that type of discount, I'm like "yes you do"... So she takes quite a while to find a manager, and he's coming back telling me that they didn't overcharge me, counting everything on my receipt with his calculator. I'm trying to tell him all I'm concerned with is the 13.98 -2.50, -2.50 and then -2.00, which comes out to 6.99, which would have been fine if I had got two boxes... BUT I ONLY GOT ONE! So he says he's going to give me the money back but "take the receipt home and add it up"...??? Man I already know how to add! I've been reading Food Lion receipts for YEARS! (you telling me I can't add but here's the money so you can get out my face!) Felt a little disrespected because I've been going there longer than a lot of them been working for the company, and I KNOW HOW TO COUNT!!!

I live up the street from this food lion, it's very convenient for me, but I hate the attitude of some of the employees there. I went to purchase a pack of smokes. It's early in the morning, I get it. But the girl at the customer service desk attitude was so unprofessional it was sad. I asked was she open, she was like what you need in a nasty tone. She wanted me to go stand in the line where people are paying for groceries. She was trying to say that. The cash register was only for the power ball. As though I couldn't buy a pack of cigarettes. Than I said I appreciate it. She didn't say anything. Sad to be so unprofessional. I tried calling the store to complain, but no one would answer so I put a review on this store. When you call there a voice recording comes on saying Customer service is to best serve you something like that. All lies, no one would pick up so how good is the customer service? It wasn't that great this morning......

I like this food lion it's always clean and the employees are very helpful and pleasant. I personally think they need more cashiers only because when there is a line its definitely a wait. But I have not had a problem at this particular Food Lion

For the past month im asking to do money order and Everytime same answer we don't have money order excuse of they got new machine no one set it up yet?!!!I Don't think thats the issue , i just think these guys here don't want to work .Terrible customer service the way they talk they act .One of the worst food lion store ever in the whole usa .As an employee in food lion the least you can do smile to the customer.If u Don't feel like being here then don't come to work go ahead look for new job period.

Food Lion on WT Harris and Idlewild is awesome!! Associates are energetic and friendly!! It is always a please to shop there!! I have a Food Lion closer to me but it's not great

I just moved to this neighborhood and I have been to this store at least 3x and every time I go the customer service is not there. The employees don’t say hello welcome to Foodlion or even greet you when your checking out they just start scanning groceries. They don’t smile. Tonight the girl was a little argumentative when I told her I didn’t want an item that was leaking on the belt. No manager in sight another cashier had to come take over because she was so rude. Guess I’ll go back to shopping at Harris Teeter. A little further even a bit pricier but at least the service is better.

The cashiers there are nice and the store is always well stocked. They could stand to have a few more cashiers working so the ones they have don't get bombarded during rush hour. There aren't enough cart drop off spaces in the parking lot.

I was really uncomfortable with all the construction on the inside. Guys shoveling rocks by the back wall, an electrician working on outlets by the vegetables, and workers standing on future refrigeration units is a bit upsetting. I know you need to stay open, but maybe the work is best done at night.Your staff was very nice and you have a killer beer selection for the area. The steak I bought for dinner turned out perfect.
