Previously Eckerd/Rite Aid now Dollar General. Store is good have fresh produce, frozen food section. However sometimes the store is cluttered and disorganized and employees there are african american just rude and talking/eating/working all at the same time and complaining. They act like they never seen penny items you are suppose to honor it and not question it to customers.

Shelves are almost empty bc all their stock is sitting packed in all the back isles. Has been like this almost a year. Can't find anything in here

I went in this am to return two items for a refund. It took two staff members to try to get me either a refund on my card or cash and neither could, even after calling their manager. I had to walk out with my original items. Not at all appropriate for a large chain like them to not be able to refund me. Will not be visiting their store again.

I love coming to this store. It's a tough store to keep organized given the area. The manager is a tall bald man, and though I haven't gotten his name, he recognizes me and is super kind and polite to everyone in the store. That guy is great, and this is my home store for good reasons.

Was just at this store and the guy working decided too close early at 7 while there were still 4 of us in the store. So he locked the doors and quickly told everyone that he was closing early and we needed to check out. Two hours before scheduled closing time. And there’s no blaming it on short staff due to Covid cuz I’m pretty sure he was supposed to be there till normal closing and just didn’t want to be cuz I heard him say “good, it’s slowing down, I think I’ll close up”. Bad for business.

They tried to redo the store and make it nicer but it's still messy and understocked. Also it's hit or miss on whether or not a cart might be available. I usually buy cat food & litter there. They have good prices. But I normally get a 20 pound bag of cat food and a 20 pound box of litter so I need a cart. I noticed today when there were none available, one customer was using one but at least two others were being used to hold stock that they hadn't gotten to yet. No big deal as most stores do this but get enough carts so there's carts for customer use also. Other than that, prices are good and I do like a lot of their home decor things.

Once a drug store that had been converted. This makes it fairly large inside. Good prices, selection, well stocked and organized. I found Atkinson peanut butter bars that I so love and they were fresh! Even saw the latest Essence magazine. The lady on the register was friendly. Overall, my experience was pleasant enough to return.

First visit to this location. I received kind attentive customer service. Store looked clean and well stocked. Stopped by to get gift card deal in the weekly flyer, and grabbed a few household essentials. I was pleasantly surprised. I plan to shop there again even if it's out of my way.

I live in very close proximity to this store & shop there quite frequently. However, since the new manager & the store reset, customer service has gone completely down. The prices for cooler items are NEVER correct. They get mad when you catch it. They attempt to run customers out the store at 850p nightly, when the store closes at 9. Will openly express their desire to close to customers; that they desire to be closed & clocked out at exactly 9pm. So hurry up with your shopping!!!! I had to put 2 workers in their place because without customers like me, there is no you, Dollar General. GET RID OF THE NEW STAFF. They are a sour taste in the community's mouth!!!!

Went in here for a specific item but didn't find it. This has to be one of the messiest, unregulated, cluttered stores I've been in for some time. I'm sure they've cleaned the floors since they opened years ago, just not sure when that was. Prices were well above a dollar and not much different from Wal-Mart about half mile down the road. Really can't think of any reason for a repeat visit to this place, I'm sure one can do better almost anywhere else. But some stores have dedicated clientele for whatever reason, and I leave this place to them.

This Dollar General location has the friendliest staff of any Dollar General I've ever been to. They're eager to help by telling you about promotions and sales. They are familiar with the new Digital Couponing system, and are more than happy to answer any questions you have about the program in order to save you money. It is always nice to feel welcomed when you walk in somewhere, and that's how you feel at this location because as soon as you walk in the door, the employees up front acknowledge your arrival. As you're on the floor shopping, you will be asked by the employees that are working the floor if you need help with anything. This store has A+ customer service and affordable prices without all of the crowds and long lines.

Really I would give them no stars. But I couldn’t write a review if I did that. I called up to the store to ask a few questions. And the lady hung up on me. The employees there are outrageously rude it is only two minutes from my house, but I’d rather drive to the other side of town then to walk in there again.

This is a last resort for us. The location is lousy, not so easy getting in and out. You have to drive way down Albemarle before you have to do a u turn to get back to Sharon Amity or towards Independence. The store itself is messy and dirty. The staff are unfriendly and don't keep the store clean, stock is a mess. Like I said, last resort ONLY!

The lady that was working at the register was very rude. As soon as I walked in she rudely said "backpack " instead of saying " oh can you please leave your backpack at the side" I understand the fact that people steal but there are different ways in saying things without being rude!

No change.For the last several weeks, DG seems to be on a "we don't have any change" ripoff kick. It's getting old. We shop there 4-5 times per week, and as of this morning, you still don't have change, until a manager was called, then change became available. This is grimy, unprofessional and greedy. Family Dollar is a mile away, and this has never happened. Please stop being so petty.

I blame the very poor customer service at this location on the managers because the place where the manager sits is within feet of the register and they can see this in real time. And the Landscaping is so poor outside with lots of trash behind the store whoever owns this store should just close it

I am a DG regular and this is a particularly large one with a mini grocery section including produce. I never go there for produce so cant really comment on that, but I do get my toddler cute lil outfit sets for cheap $$ and other random household things you may not be able to find elsewhere for as good of a price.

Went to vote this morning.😄went by this dollar general. lady in front of me brought my things I wanted to purchase. not the first time this happen to me but my 10th I am so blessed because I was trying to make my $20 strecth for this week for work.😘thank you miss she run out store so quick I want to refuse my daughter said it's my presence in the room.🤗💋💓💞

The shelves were poorly stocked and in disarray. There was one cashier and 15 people in line. Someone asked if anyone else was there to help. She said there was another person in the back but she couldn't call them. I ended up just leaving and went to Family Dollar.

East Charlotte location on Albemarle rd. Large store with big selection. Things were in piles all over the store. Customer service was fast friendly and helpful. The store was not at all clean. Not sure I will shoo here in the future.

Visited Monday evening around 7. Wasn't greeted as I walked in, wasn't greeted when I checked out, wasn't thanked. Radio was EXTREMELY loud. Store was neat and clean though.

I come in most morning as soon as the door opens and the clerks that works in the mornings is always soo helpful. she will go and find what ever it is that I am looking for. she is polite and makes my visits a pleasure.

Ok, the receipt is never right, and the electronic coupons never work. I never pay what I should pay, so it's now hit or miss with me. If they have what I want I hit it and if not I miss it.

Dollar General has fresh produce now. There was tomatoes, salad, onions and potatoes at reasonable prices. I was also amazed at the long island of the frozen food section.

I love the employees here, they will go that extra mile.. I was looking for some plantain cheese balls, we walked all over the store until we find them, then I brought the whole case. Haha

Some of the employees were friendly and helpful and some need not to work with the public. I won't return. I choose to spend my money where I'm appreciated.
