Our 4 month old puppy went for his first visit. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed . Everyone was nice and Ozzy had a great day. He was so exhausted from his day he slept hard. So glad we have found a place for Ozzy to go and have fun. I highly recommend Central Bark

I took my Beagle Alfie for his first day and was mighty impressed! So many reasons to love Central Bark Matthews: the staff are not only friendly but so organized and efficient. All the dogs I saw being dropped off were very excited to be there. I like the fact that they require attendance of at least one day per week; this way the dogs get more comfortable with the routine/ staff etc.I had booked an early morning tour and must say that the indoor and outdoor play yards were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Spacious crates are provided for nap times. When it's time to go home, your pup is given a report card detailing what they did, friends they made and their comfort level with interaction with handlers, other dogs, how they settled in the crate etc., along with a cute "First Day" pic! I'm so happy I found this place and have already booked another day for Alfie!

This place is Pawsome! (Sorry, couldn't help it).Here's the scoop. We've been taking our Bernedoodle to this place for over a year and it's honestly been such a fantastic experience. They're not just a pet boarding facility - it's more like a second home for our dog.The staff here, well, they're just wonderful. Always welcoming, caring, and ready to go that extra mile. And Chris, he's in a league of his own. Hands down, one of the most delightful people you could ever meet.They've also got this great little feature where they send daily pictures of your pet. It's like getting a daily postcard from our dog - absolutely brightens our day.In terms of pet boarding and play, we haven't found better (both here and in Brooklyn where we used to live). We've recommended them to our friends time and again, and we'd do it again without a second thought. So, if you're looking for a place that will love and care for your pet just as much as you do, then this is your spot.Really, they're more than just a pet service. They've created a loving community for our pets. I can't stress enough just how top-notch this place is!

Great place to bring your dogs. My two labs just love going there. It’s a good feeling when you leave your babies you know they going to be taking good care of. Highly recommend Central Bark if you never used them before.

My dog Stanley has been filled with anxiety of getting his nails trimmed. He would shake and snarl and was terrified. Instead of traumatizing him further, Stanley and I came for several "positive reinforcement" visits. Chris and Kirsty and the rest of the staff have been so fantastic and supportive. They gave him lots of treats and pets and he slowly got comfortable with them. We managed to get 1 full nail trim done since then! He was still very nervous but they were able to get all of his nails. After, Stanley was happy and wagging his tail (see the picture for his toothy grin lol). Such a huge improvement and it's all thanks to their compassion and care. It's obvious they completely love dogs, and it's not just a paycheck. I'm so thankful to them and would recommend Central Bark to everyone!

Extremely excited with Nutmeg’s first day at Central Bark. I found the staff to be very welcoming to me and my furbaby, Nutmeg. They made me feel like he was the best doggie there. They gave a great review for him. When I picked him up, he didnt want to leave. Best Godwink ever.

My dog absolutely loves this daycare. The staff greet him by name every morning and he eagerly runs up to say hello to them. I know he is well taken care of here. He even gets sad on the mornings I don’t take him with me when I leave for work, because he knows he’s not going to day care that day. The staff are incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful. Could not recommend this place more!

Love this place! We are new to Charlotte and took our mini schnauzer to Central Bark for a much needed grooming. Our dog is timid at first around strangers and they welcomed her and made her comfy right away. The sweetest groomer did a great job - our pup had some tangles and they took care of those and showed love and care for our fur baby. The facility is super clean and smells fabulous. Definitely have found our place for grooming our babies! From the initial appointment set up to check out, our experience was awesome!

My dog Maya loves Central Bark! She consistently goes on the same days each week, but if I ever need to add a day when something comes up unexpectedly, Central Bark is always understanding and accommodating. Maya always comes home happy and tired after a day of playing with her friends. Not only do I love the day care, but the sleepovers give me peace of mind while I’m out of town because I know Maya is in great hands. They even keep me updated with report cards and pictures. And the salon and spa services are convenient for when she needs her nails trimmed or her teeth brushed. Most importantly, I feel like each staff member is caring and compassionate. I would definitely recommend Central Bark!

My puppy loves Central Bark! I've been eager to provide positive socialization for her at a young age with her being the only dog in my home. Central Bark does a great job placing her in small groups with breaks throughout the day to prevent over stimulation. The staff is incredibly nice! On just the second day, they greeted my puppy by her name with lots of pets. She loves going to Central Bark!

Our rescue husky had a great experience while staying at Central Bark Matthews for a week while we were on vacation. I put him in the “luxury den” since he doesn’t love a crate. We got 3 reports along with pictures to let us know he was doing great and eating all of his food (images showed happy dog and proof of life). Worth every penny not having to worry and knowing he was in great care.

This place is a Godsend. I have a shelter pup who is nervous around men, new places, and groomers. The staff welcomed him like family and now he adores everyone and especially Chris. He whines when he knows where we're going because we can't get there fast enough. They even worked with me and Mr. Doggo to get in a good nail trim. I couldn't recommend this business enough for daycare, overnights, and grooming - they are sweet, friendly, professional, and really care about the pups. I never worry. Phew :)

Brought my 3 year old pup here for a month or two and decided to buy 10 days of daycare since he was doing well and enjoying it so much. After only using 2 of 10 days, I came to pick him up and they said he was "aggressive" towards another dog and that he couldn't come back. They did not show me any video evidence of the situation and apparently it wasn't bad enough for them to call me to pick him up early, but they still banned him from coming back. They then said they would not refund the remainder of the days I had purchased already. The guy working said he would talk to his manager about refunding but I never heard back. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company and won but it was a process that took a few months and was very frustrating.

We had our Australian Shepherd groomed at Central Bark. Kirstie, the groomer, did a fantastic job. Before she took him back to start, she talked with me to make sure that she understood exactly what I wanted done. He came out looking great. Everything was very professional, from the manager, Chris, making our appointment, checking us out and making sure he was done to my satisfaction to the groomer services. . I would highly recommend Central Bark on Monroe rd. for grooming services.

Our dog absolutely loves going to Central Bark! Our dog gets so excited when she realizes she is going to daycare. They take great care of her and we also get her groomed there. Their groomer is the best we have ever used! I would not take my dog to any other groomer. Our dog comes out looking fantastic! The employees are so friendly.

I have a wonderful rescue dog who has with issues. We have even gone to a behavioral vet.The staff listened to my concerns before we arrived. They took a number of steps to ensure his first day would be a good one. WOW! He had the best time ever. He has gone back a second day and will continue as a weekly member of the Central Bark family. Jennifer was wonderful.We lost our groomer a few months back and have tried several new groomers. None have come close...until we went to Central Bark's groomer. The experience we had today was BEYOND amazing! From the first call to schedule and then the drop off and pick up…. The best service we have ever received from a groomer!! Highly recommend. This entire team is top notch. Our Goldendoodle looks SOOOO handsome! The groomer was patient and loving with our 80lb puppy 😅

Bentley received the best service and care when she got her haircut! Because she was limping and afraid to jump out of the car, the staff came outside and carried her in! She smelled great; not too girly, but just right. And when I picked her up, the staff was kind enough to carry her out to the car because of her injury! Thank you for the great service!!
