They put a hole in my dog. While in the care of Bark Street my Golden Doddle was cut; needing two staples, pain med, antibiotics and a neck cone. The owner or manager has not reached out to me and has made no comment at all. It’s been a month. No apology. A $238 vet bill. And a sad, sick dog. I followed up with them and received no apology or even a hint of accountability. Their standard response seems to be to ignore the problem. No need for client retention in a town swarming with Doodles in need of grooming. Stay away from this place.

Love, love love this place. You can always get an appointment quick. There’s no waiting period, they are attentive, and care about what you have to say. They ask questions until they are positive we are both on the same page and will call mid-grooming if they have any questions. They treat my dog excellent, do a great job and have fair pricing - and I am very picky when it comes to my doggie 🐶

These ladies do a great job with my 13lb Russell Terrier. They call and communicate to make sure they get his cut the way I prefer. They are timely and so efficient. I’m so happy to have found a go-to when many salons were very booked.

Extremely disappointed with the service done for my dog this afternoon. Dropped him off at 11:30, and when i picked him up I notice just how short his fur is. The woman I picked him up from stated this is what we asked for, and just cut him to how we specified after I pointed it out. She said there may have been a miscommunication when she asked what we wanted done but, this is a huge difference. We ask for the same cut to be done each time we have come previously and were always very satisfied with the results. I don't understand where the confusion came from in this case. Also the cut is uneven and I especially don't understand why the fur was cut how it was near the back of his head because that is the one spot we never wanted cut in any appointment. Attached with this review is the result from his last appointment along with what the result was today (red scarf) because this is a very disappointing experience. Definitely did not want to pay for what was done, as it was not at all what was expected compared to our previous experiences, but still did.

My dig died last week. Been had complaints from the vet after grooms. Gave them a third chance. And my baby Missy died. Blood in her urine and a seizer. I'm currently in court. Suing the owner. Pet parents. Missy was with me 17 yrs. I grew up with her. Went to college. Had my first baby with her. Please don't take your dogs there.

I was lost without a trusted groomer to get my puppers clean and beautified before a friend mentioned she took her doodles to bark street. I have been booking with them now for almost two years and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. My little girl cavapoo is chill and no issue, my large standard Aussiedoodle is another story. (A difficult dude is an understatement). However she does it, they both come back looking amazing. I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, but hey.. life. They always do their best to get them both scheduled same day which helps my hectic schedule, and I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks ladies, your hard work is really appreciated.

Amanda is fantastic. She is personable and so professional. I appreciated her taking great care of Murphy for our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last! This is our best haircut by far in 8 years, and she just smells divine. The pink flower collar was the cutest way to top off such great work. Also a big thank you to April for greeting us and helping us feel at home as well.

$185 for a 25lb dog. I’ve never been charged this much anywhere and it took them one hour. I dropped him off at 12:45. I was called at 5:30pm thinking he was done, instead to be informed they were just getting started and I picked him up at 6:30pm. Not only was this outrageously expensive but I was ridiculed for how much my dog disliked the groom. For $185 an hour, just leave out the negative commentary.

This place has wonderful staff, they give amazing hair cuts and baths. If you’re looking for a quick and easy groom and bath don’t come here. They take their time and make sure your dog is well taken care of and smells and looks amazing. The pricing is great… you definitely get what you pay for ! Overall great place. I 100% recommended bringing your pup to meet the groomers!!

I want everyone to know that after seven calls trying to get a same day appointment for my dog only to be told , sorry we are booked out 4-6 weeks. This is rediculous. I am a hairdresser and I worked with a full book everyday 3 weeks out. Not o ve did I turn a client away. Why would you say no to money that’s in your hand rather than hoping that appointment that was made weeks ago will show up. I also want to say these sisters are amazing. They do incredible work,clean salon,great personality and all around nice to be around. So basically if you want your pups to look the best they can look, Bark Street is the place for you to be. Thank you ladies for all of your hard work. By the way Dant’e is the dog we brought in last minute and he had matting and needed help desperately. Black and white in color. I hope you remember him. He will be back soon.

Bark street groomed my dog Ziggy for a few years and groomed him up until his last days. They are extremely nice and loved Ziggy as if he were their own. Now they are currently grooming my new son emerald and love him just as much. I’ve also referred about four different dogs to them and they all have nothing but nice things to say about Bark street! Bark street is family..

I was extremely disappointed when I took my pup here last weekend. I scheduled a simple groom to be done and they could not give me an estimate on how long it would take. After 2 hours I called to get an update and they were not able to give me an estimate because the one groomer they had available had something come up and she was not able to be there to groom the dogs all day. I drove 30 minutes to come here to get my dog groomed and I could not wait much longer as I had plans later in the day so I picked him up after 2.5 hours. Beware of over scheduling at this place, I understand places are understaffed right not but do not take on work that you cannot complete in a timely matter or give customers a time window on!

I was very disappointed taking my dog for service here. I have gone a few times last year and the groomer they used to have left and now they have a very rude groomer who seems entitled to treating customers and their dogs as she wishes. News flash? There are plenty of great groomers in Charlotte with much better service and worth looking for after my past experience.I have a miniature schnauzer (12 pounds) who in the past I’ve paid $70 including tip to get him groomed. This last time I asked for the same service I always have... that they trim his hair to let it grow out. For starters the groomer was running late to the appt..which I made no fuss and understand things happen, on top of that they raised his price to $85 (not including tip) that’s a $25 increase considering I would leave a $10 tip. When speaking to the groomer she said that the price can fluctuate depending on the groomer and time spent. I find this to be extremely unprofessional and after some research this is the only place I’ve heard of that will increase their price to whatever amount they wish. It’s extremely disappointing on top of the fact my dog came home with burns and scratches as well.TERRIBLE service go to a professional who values their customers and will treat your furr baby with more care.

I was very skeptical About bringing my baby to bark street because I was so use to going petsmart for the last 2 years. When I say I picked up my baby yesterday and was so surprised at how they took their time grooming my baby I was so ecstatic when I seen her😍. The best haircut she’s has since she was born literally. I strongly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed.

Bark Street is my go to groomers for my lovely little poochie.The stylist clean up and take wonderful care of her while she is here. The staff is absolutely lovely and quite understanding if you're running a few minutes behind or have more than one dog you would like to drop off at a time.Booking an appointment is quick and easy on their website and they're reasonable priced.Next time you consider getting your fur child the special treatment consider this small business.

I cannot say enough good things!! We got our dog shaved for the summer and they did amazing! No other groomer has made his face look round and so cute like April did! She also left a little mohawk on the top of his head which is the greatest thing Ive ever seen. We are a customer for life! Thanks April!

Dropped my dog off at 12:55, came in to pick her up at 5:00 and she STILL wasn’t ready, in fact they were just getting started on her. Had only booked her for a simple bath and a nail trim, then they told me that they were understaffed. I understand that, however - you determine how many appointments you accept/book for that day. Don’t overbook appointments and you won’t be running four hours behind.

My dog was at this groomer for almost 7 hours for a bath & basic haircut. My pup is very timid & cooperative, so 7 hours is extremely excessive. I was told it was because they had too many new dogs, but it seemed like they overbooked for the 2 groomers working. The groomer nicked her in several spots when giving her a sani-trim. Her face & beard hair is uneven on each side. While my girl smelled fresh like baby powder, I'll find a higher quality groomer who won't take 7 hours for a bad haircut.

Couldn't be happier with our experience! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was terrified that our puppy would come out looking crazier than she entered, as it was her first haircut and we let her hair grow too long. My only requests were that she didn't come out shaved or looking like a poodle (she's a -Doodle mix breed), and she now has the most adorable puppy cut I have ever seen and feels heavenly. Will definitely return :)

I'm complimented for weeks after a grooming on how good my Saint Bernard looks after they do a full service treatment on him. It's only $60, and they work their tail off on him (as well as all the loose hair in my dogs fluffy tail!). I made mistake of self-grooming a couple weeks ago, which they also offer, and have great facilities for--I just don't do even half of the job they do, and it costs just over half the price of a full grooming (which did include a toenail clip). For a shorter haired or smaller dog this could be great though. They have aprons, strong shampoo, light shampoo, conditioner (of which i used a 16oz bottle of each, and they refilled them)!I agree with some of the other comments about the staff to some degree, they sometimes come off of a bit rude and subpar service, but they take exceptional care of my dog, and charge me fairly. It's nearly half the price of PetSmart and they do tons better job. I even have a friend at another grooming place that gives me 80% discount and do a good job, but if I want him beautiful for weeks to come, I go to Bark Street.On one occasion, they squeezed me in when they were full, and I got there right at closing. He looked great as usual, but insisted they weren't quite done. Two staff stayed for an additional hour and brushed and trimmed and brushed and trimmed until he was perfect. If you can be tolerant of the sometimes lackluster human interaction of the staff, you'll be very happy with the services.

Love this place! They did such a great job on my chow chow. The only problem I had was I end up paying $5 more than the quoted price was given that day. Its okay since it was my dog first haircut and she did wonderful job. Its a far drive from where I live,but I will make this my pup permanent place to go.

NEVER take your dog to get groomed here. I brought my dog home from getting groomed here to find out she had been cut under her front legs, where her legs meet her chest ON BOTH SIDES. She is raw and bloody and will not get up to walk. All she will do is hide in a corner and whine because she is in so much pain. I am so disgusted and my heart is broken for my pup. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE!

Not a great fit for my dog. I have a 40lb furry dog. I know she is tough to deshed, etc. Her normal groomer is a corporate place, and I was happy to try a local groomer when I saw the deal on Living Social for $20 for $75 worth of services. I dropped her off at 12:30. At 3:30 I got a call they were unable to put her in the wash tub. I needed to go back to the groomer and actually stay with her the entire time. This is fine since I appreciated their hesitation to muzzle her. However, TWO HOURS later, she was just getting out of her bath. They had not yet done her nails, etc. I had to go, at this point it was almost 6, so I said I would just take her. They had not brushed her, cleaned her ears, or done her nails (no hair trim needed). I had allowed them to do the deshed. I was not given a price upfront; she said she would let me know at the end. Well, she "cut me a deal" and only charged me $40 instead of the "normal" $55. So I paid a total of $60 for a bath I had to help with, a 5 1/2 hour trip for my dog, I had to brush her, and I will now have to take her somewhere else for her nails. Her normal groomer charges $75 to do all that in less than 3 hours. This lady apparently would have charged me $130 for my dog (the $75 value from Living Social plus the $55 shed fee). That is absolutely insane for a place which is ill-equipped. I gave this two stars instead of zero because I really did think the owner/groomer was nice. But, I can't justify this experience on a nice personality. I would recommend this for someone with a small-sized dog, as that is the best fit for the facility. I just wish she had been honest about that. It would have saved me time, money, and I wouldn't have had to irritate my boss by taking a half day to go bathe my dog. Bottom line: I could have gotten these results (granted I wouldn't have gotten as much loose fur off) at home for free in under an hour.Anyway, this is just my experience. If you have a small dog, these other reviewers may be a better fit for you.

Amanda is amazing. I've been taking my miniature schnauzer to her for about 6 years and he's cut perfectly and meticulously every time. Well worth the drive to the other side of Charlotte for me.

Went here for the first time, when I got my dog back he was cut all uneven, and had a small cut on his stomach from the clippers! This was after they called me on accident and told me they got my dog mixed up with another one. The staff is nice, but we won't be going back.
