I had the best experience at the Cedar Island Ranch doing the horseback riding! I booked a 90 minute sunset tour. On the 90 minute you were able to cross through the water and get to a sand bar. The views were beautiful. That's where we saw a group of wild horses at a distance and we got to see cows so close I could almost touch them. It was interesting to see how both the cows and horses were unfazed by each other. Our cowboy guide, Jeremy, was great. He's a true cowboy born and raised and you almost feel like you're out in the Wild Wild West with him. He was awesome and super helpful on the ride. I went by myself, and there was another group of 3 that were on the ride too. It would be fun to do with a friend or small group, but also just as fun by yourself if you want to go that route! Thanks for a great experience!

Great experience! Jess was our tour guide. She gave us the time to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the shore. But they need to update their pricing in Google. The price still shows $65 for 60mins so when I saw $105/per charged I was sticker shocked totaling 336.12 for 3 people.

We did the sunset 90 minute ride and had a great time! Jeremy(Pale Rider) was an awesome guide and made sure we all had a nice experience and even took pics for us. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do a nice beach ride. We really enjoyed the water crossing too!

Great family ride! Calling and booking a ride was very easy and straight forward. We even got weather updates the morning of our ride notifying us of possible wet conditions and to dress appropriately. Jeremy, the trail guide, was very nice and easy to talk to throughout the ride. Had some good stories, as cowboys usually do, and good local knowledge of the island. Beautiful spot on the beach for a ride. Family of 5 with two younger kids. Great time was had by everyone and they are already talking about wanting to do it again!

We had the best time on our sunset horseback ride with wrangler Jeremy. It was so chill and relaxed but also so much fun. They matched us all up with the perfect horses for us. Going through the water was amazing!! The scenery was just beautiful and seeing the wild cows was the icing on the cake. We can’t wait to do it again.

Jeremy picked out the perfect horses for each of us to ride. The horses are so calm even for a first time rider. The scenery is amazing and it feels like you’re riding on the edge of the world. Jeremy took us through the water to another island. We saw the wild horses on our trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We took a sunrise ride with Dori as our guide and had a magical morning. It was just our little family for the sunrise ride this morning and Dori was as ready to go when we arrive a little early. She suited everyone up and led us on a great tour that involved seeing the wild horses and wild cows in the beach. So very cool! Our twin boys (12) had never been on a horse and she was so patient with them. We got to walk through the water, seeing jellyfish and a few small stingrays while crossing. If you are in the are, don’t miss this fantastic place.

My friends and I booked a private ride with Jeremy this weekend and it was a great experience (despite the cold and wind)! We are all advanced riders, so having the opportunity to book a private ride and have a bit more freedom was worth every penny. Jeremy was knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. If you're visiting, or even live in the area and are looking for something fun to do with friends or family, I highly recommend booking a beach ride!

My husband and I went for the sunrise ride at 6:30 AM.   The stables, horses and equipment (tack) are very well taken care of.  We are not super experienced riders but the horses were easy to control and we both felt perfectly comfortable with them.  We had a couple of other riders in our group but other than that did not see a single person on our ride. The scenery was beautiful and we saw wild cows up close, wild ponies in the distance and plenty of sea birds.  Our guide, Dori, was friendly, helpful and took several pictures of us.  We did some trotting and cantering and also waded horse-chest high across the channel and back.  It was an experience of a lifetime and we're looking forward to making a trip back to do it again.

Literally the best experience we have ever had horseback riding! Jeremy is an amazing tour guide and is excellent at his job! My husband and I booked a camping trip for the weekend and had the 60-minute ride for Saturday, we enjoyed our ride so much that while eating dinner at Bay Breeze I called and spoke with Dori and booked us another ride for the very next morning on Sunday at 9 am which was a 90-minute ride!! On our first ride on Saturday, we were riding with children who had never been on a horse before, and with no experience, they still did excellent with Jeremys help. On our second ride Sunday morning we were able to ride through the water to other islands nearby including "Ship Shoal Island". We also were able to canter and it was AMAZING!! We even got the chance to see wild cattle on our ride! We spoke with Jeremy about my sister who has a disability and has always wanted to ride horses. After speaking with Jeremy and seeing how great these horses really are we will be bringing her next summer for a ride with Jeremy! Cool fact about the horses names, they are all named after older country singers!!! I enjoyed riding Shania and my husband enjoyed riding Reba. My husband and I can not wait to return to Cedar Island Stables.

Amazing experience. Jeremy is an incredible guide. We not only were able to see wild cattle and horses but they happened to be on the same island and Jeremy brought us close. Real Cowboy stories and a great lesson on history of cowboys and horses. Very family friendly and something we will never forget. I highly recommend the experience of going through the water.

Best place to go for a horse back riding, expectally on a beach!!! Very nice and claming experience. We will be coming back for sure!!! Great guide as well he's a true cowboy of 45 yrs and awesome stories!!! All round it was so amazing.

Jeremy was wonderful! We couldn’t have asked for a better ride. It was a beautiful day, and our guide was very knowledgeable and very social. Good ol cowboy! Highly recommend booking the 90 min ride or a private ride. You get to see wild cows, wild horses(if you get lucky!) you get to cross water to another island, and have an entertaining guide! Just being able to ride horses on the beach was well worth it!!!! I have rideb horses my whole life and Jeremy made me feel right at home he was great with my daughter and teaching her and with my parents who haven’t ridden in year. Definitely the highlight to our trip to Cedar Island!

Totally awesome. My kids want to do it again....Guide Johnathan was friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were well- trained, but not boring.On the island, they saw several bands of wild ponies. Next time, I am going....woukd definitely recommend this place...

This was a wonderful experience. Our guide Dory was amazing, she matched the horses perfectly to the range of experience and personalities in our group. The view was beautiful and seeing the wild ponies was such a treat. Taking the longer tour to cross the sound was a highlight I recommend. Dory made my sons first ride such a perfect experience can't thank her enough.

May 21, 2021 We did the sunset horseback ride. It was amazing! We got to cross a shallow point in the water from Cedar Island to Ship Shoals Island. We did not get to see any wild horses or wild cows. Our guide Jeremy was very friendly and had lots of information about the area to share. The horses were all very nice and well behaved. Highly recommend!!!

The barn manager, Dori, was our guide, and she made our ride the highlight of my vacation. The horses were all very well trained, but still had personality and didn't ride nose to butt the whole time. This ride is really perfect for anyone from novice to advanced. The views were STUNNING, and we saw so many varieties of shore birds! I highly recommend a sunrise or sunset ride, you won't regret it!

I loved this experience! You can find other horse riding at other campgrounds but much of the time they are in large groups, and there isn’t much of a connection with the guide. I went with my dad and another lady besides the guide, and we talked the whole way. Jeremy was our guide and I loved that he told us a little bit about himself! He is very experienced and has been a cowboy his whole life. We took the sunset ride and it was well worth the price. We also got to see the wild horses on a nearby island we rode to.

This was a lot of fun. We did the 90 minute ride with Jeremy. He took us to an island with the wild horses and cows. We would definitely do this again and Jeremy was great. We had lots of questions and he didn't mind answering. He was very patient with the 10 year old in the group as well.

Our guide was KennethBoth my husband and I have our own horses and aren’t new to riding, but not professionals by no means. This experience was beyond exciting and so much more than we expected! I recommend this to anyone. Whether you’ve rode before or not. The guide and horses take care of you. Kenneth did a fantastic job pairing us up with a horse to match.We took a sunset ride, got to see the wild ponies, and a sunset. It was all well worth the price. Like something out of a dream!I hope to visit again someday.

Wow just wow!! My wife has ridden before but I never had and what a wonderful event this was! We decided to do the sunset ride (it was our honeymoon ❤️) and I thought it’ll be ok but it was really awesome especially when we crossed from island to island in 3 foot water. I highly recommend if you have never done before BUT your bum may be a tad sore the next day 😎. *5 Stars*

I spoke with Allison to book my trip and she was very friendly and asked all the right questions to pick the best horse for me. Katie was the guide for my ride and was friendly and helpful whenever I had a question. The beach ride is peaceful and nice as you feel you are the only people on it. Very nice. I will ride with them again, if I get back to the area
