Called ahead to ask if some of my favorite fish might be available. Spoke with Mr. Styron. He was friendly, funny and told me although he is ordinarily a provider to restaurants and wholesale outlets he would gladly help me out.We stopped in after church and he and a younger man greeted us and could not have been more enjoyable to meet and talk with. The fresh fish was cleaned expertly, packed on ice, double bagged and at a price that was more than fair. My neighbor who is a lifelong resident of the area agreed the catch was top shelf and we enjoyed all 20 pounds we were blessed to have been able to get. Already eagerly looking forward to the next visit.

Couldn't find anything at stores and they sold us some fish ready to be shipped out. Had to filet myself because they were so busy but part of the fun!

If it wasn't swimming this morning, it isn't fresh, and you won't find it at Quality Seafood.Remember this is a wholesaler and purveyor of Premium fresh seafood to the area's finest restaurants.Most of the catch is on ice, in the reefer trucks, and off to the restaurants and the packing houses by 10 a.m. or noon at the latest.Get there early. They are wholesale only. But it is a family business, and they will sell retail, if they like you, and you are polite. There are no fancy display cases, and they only sell fish whole. Clean it and fillet it yourself.You are buying directly from the fisherman!Guaranteed the freshest fish you ever had that you didn't catch yourself. Bring a cooler if you have one, they will fill it with ice and your fish selection. You will pay about 5 bucks here for the same fish dinner you'll pay 50 bucks for in the restaurant.If they have green tail shrimp, get them. The firmest tastiest shrimp I've ever had. If you have never bought shrimp from a fish house, you've probably never had fresh shrimp.Bon appetit and happy grilling.
