Went in today and was greeted by a young gentleman. He greeted all the customers entering. Being the only person there, he made sure every person was acknowledged. I purchased a half dozen of plates and bowls and he made sure to take the time to wrap each one. Another young man came in, a new employee, and he asked if he had begun his training. The new employee answered no and said he was immediately put to work. The young gentleman seemed a little upset by this. It seems he understands the concept that you have to invest and train your employees. You have to put time into them in order for them to be the best they can be. I don’t know what the young man’s name was—but Dollar General did something amazing when they got him. Amazing service and hands on with his associates.

Always clean, staff is very friendly. I frequent this store often, sometimes multiple times a day, and I am always greeted with a warm presence when I come in. The store is pretty well organised for its size and volume and it is easy to find the things you are looking for quickly. Definitely beats driving all the way to Walmart to battle the crowds for a jug of milk!

This is the best Dollar General. This one is the only one within 50 miles of me that you can even walk down the aisle. I don’t understand how we can even shop if we can’t go down the aisle. Anyways, they have the best ppl that work here and the customers are so sweet and amazing.

This is one of the better DGs I've been to. The employees are very friendly and helpful, they actually chat and smile and seem to enjoy their job. It was very organized and clean inside the store. I wish I lived closer to this location!

Good deals! Shopping around the carts of stock parked at the end of each aisle is quite annoying though. Must they move the entire stock room to the sales floor when there is only 2 employees working?

Nice place. Friendly staff. Very good selection with the best deals. Very helpful with finding items. Also they have a discount section where everything is cheap maybe only a dollar for some items.

Friendly staff and found everything I was looking for and more, all at a very affordable price. We shop here about 2 or 3 times a week and have never had a issue . I actually look forward to shopping now .. great job keep it up!

Only down side i have encountered so far I'd they need help. It's hard for 2 employees per shift to keep things perfect. If you can keep that in mind, you will not go away disappointed

visited the Conover store 3 times within a month.Store is messy, unorganized and unloaded carts piled high of merchandise that needs to be put on shelves. I walked around the store several times looking for batteries. When I couldn't tfind them I stood in line at check out to ask associate. He pointed me to them , which were hidden by a overpacked pallet . He told me to move it out of my way. That was heavy and hard to move. Really? but I did.

Never forget this place man pulls up beside me and I hear meow meow! Meow! A kitten had gotten up into his motor and. Was petrified the employees helped get it out safely bless that baby

Store in disarray, boxes in isles and stuff tossed around in isles, one person stocking shelves and kept me waiting at register for 3 minutes, asked to see manager and she was sitting in office chatting on cellphone. She was very rude and continued to bad talk her employees. Totally unprofessional!

Great Place to grab a few things. Friendly staff. Cluttered sometimes. But I find some of the best buys there. You never know what you might find. I like that.

Not pleased to know they don't have $5 off coupon at front register for people without a coupon. I knew for ages they did honor it. But...oh well??

This is a great place to run in and get out with what you need. Keeps you from having to drive 20 minutes to a grocery store or Wal-Mart. Not the lowest prices, but you're there​ for convenience, not low prices.

The aisles were very cluttered. Merchandise buggies full of empty boxes, just sitting in the way. The check out counter was very dirty & soiled.
