Although I think this agency helps many animals, I was surprised when I was attacked by a pack of 5 dogs (bitten by one of the owners’ dogs) while on the premises. I am concerned for particularly children and older adults visiting the site. There is no doubt my outcome would have been worse had there not been a fence about 15ft away I could climb on and try to get away-something a child or older adult could not have been able to do-Luckily I was able to get up on the highest fence board so the dogs could no longer reach me! But before I made it there, I was bitten on my left forearm with a significant skin tear and my jeans were torn at the right ankle. As I screamed for help one of the volunteers had the owner come and remove the dogs and put them back into their home. The owner’s response and attitude was disappointing to say the least; not the kind of response you’d expect from the owner of a dog that bit you. The husband did come to me after she left and he was kind, but there was NO follow-up from either one, zero. After the injury I left the premises and drove to Medac where the wound was treated, along with getting a tetanus shot and being put on antibiotics. I am sorry to say neither owner ever offered to pay the medical bills, followed up with a phone call, etc. and it has now been a year. I am open to hear from the owners.

This place and the volunteers are absolutely phenomenal! We had our daughter's second birthday here and it was a hit with EVERYONE! The volunteers so extremely knowledgeable and the birds are so much fun to hang out with. The emus hung out with us almost the whole time and loved the kids. We will definitely be back!

I took my 5 year old here to visit and we really enjoyed it. Even though it's a bird rescue, and we loved the amazing birds, the highlight ended up being the many friendly and gentle donkeys that were excited to eat treats from his hands. All of the creatures here appeared to be well taken care of and happy. Wear appropriate shoes/boots since, as you can expect in a farm setting, there are some muddy spots.

Went there to talk with Amelia about the ducks she took off our private subdivision pond. She was very condescending when asked about who authorized her for putting kayaks in our retention pond. She informed us that she doesn't need permission. She also informed us that we had no valuable cause to check on ducks that were not ours and unless we had proof the white ducks we're ours, she also told us that we would need to show vaccine records, vet checks, if they had proper shelter from hurricanes etc. When asked to see them, she said no and they were in rehab. When asked where rehab was, she declined to say where. At this point her husband came into the conversation and asked us to leave. I asked what will happen to them and he told me that it was uncertain what their future is. I asked if he was going to euthanasia them, and he told me he was uncertain what their future holds. These ducks have been on our pond for years and they told us someone dumped them and we're subject to predators. They have ducks at their facility, which is way over grown, we almost passed it because you can't see the house from the street. The Google pic for this place is old. Swans and ducks were in the open, just like if our ducks were still on our pond. Everything was so secretive and vague that my red flags went up immediately. I've worked a non profit for years and know this conduct is not acceptable and they switch masks when donors arrive. Ask questions people and ask for proof, which they could not provide for us.

Amazing. The kids loved going here and feeding all the animals. 100% was a little freaked out by the animals at first, when they realize you have food for them they don't care about your personal space. But we had lots of laughs and had so much fun! Will definitely be going back

I did the raptor experience as a Christmas gift to my family, and it was a great choice. It's the closest we've ever gotten to see raptors (screech owl, hawk, and great horned owl), and we even got to hold them. Saw some other neat birds on the premises.

Our school group took a field trip to Skywatch this week and had a wonderful time. The volunteers on hand were clearly very knowledgeable AND excellent educators. Their presentation skills and patience with the kids was exceptional. All of the animals are well cared for and the facility itself is perfect for a group of energetic children who are eager to learn. We cannot wait to go back. This is definitely a nonprofit worth visiting and contributing to.

Dropped off drying Christmas tree to recycle plus leftovers frozen and saved from holiday meals. Food to be used for birds and other rescues. Just saw one volunteer and did not do tour.

How could I give anything but five stars to a non-profit helping birds to get back on their feet? Of course it's five stars! This place is very much a working bird sanctuary. It's very open and friendly to visitors, but they work with what they have. So there are lots of different kinds of cages arrayed about the grounds. It is so cool to be able to see all the different kinds of birds they have, birds you wouldn't normally get to see, and to learn about each of them. When I visited they had four or five emus which, I'm going to be honest, were very intimidating at first. But if you have a grape in your hand they are nothing but your friend. They also had some very beautiful chickens and roosters, ducks, geese, a Mississippi kite, four tiny screech owls (so cute!!), conures, doves, parakeets, cockatiels, pigeons, a goat, donkeys, and more. Oh! The peacocks are very impressive. It cost us $5 per person to get in which is super reasonable. And one little snag we ran into is that it's not obvious how to get into the place. You have to walk up to the gate beside the front building and just open the door and go in. That wasn't obvious to us, there's no sign saying "come on in". So if you go keep that in mind.Definitely check this place out, especially if you have kids. For $5 per person -- and knowing that it's going to a good cause -- it's a very inexpensive and educational outing.

My daughter found a bird in the yard, and unsure if it was young or injured we knew leaving it there with cats running around would mean certain death. So I Google bird rescues, loaded it up in a box and head out out to Skywatch. I've never been here before today, but immediately upon arrival I knew "these guys know what they're doing"Acres of land with every bird you can imagine under their care, healthy, lively and singing their hearts out.Emus walking right up to you to say hi. (Thank God I didn't bring me dog, he loves emu - for dinner that is.)I was greeted warmly and the bird was taken right in. I know I dropped it off in the right hands and trust it will grow up healthy and happy.

Our cats injured a fledgling and I called Skywatch and they were so helpful. I left a message and got an immediate response through a call AND a text and Caroline pretty much walked me through what to do all day (it was a process). I was so amazed at how much she actually cared. My kids and I learned so much and I am thankful to know what to do in the future.

The volunteers and director of SkyWatch are wonderful and caring people who put their blood, sweat, and tears into helping the native wildlife and exotic birds for the area. I highly recommend this non-profit for all of your educational and rehabilitation needs. They are 100% volunteer based non-profit who recieve no funding by the county, state or federal level. So donations are the backbone for feed, medications, and day to day operations and needs. The people at SkyWatch have the best interests of the bird in mind and heart.

We had the best time there. You only pay $5 a person and they give you food so that you can feed the animals. You can stay as long as you want. We started out there to drop off a bird that we found in our yard. We found out that we could not feed it so we had to find a place that could.

Amazing place doing great work rehibilitating and rescueing brids of all kinds. They allow you to see the birds they've rescued and even feed some of them, including the donkeys! If the brids are able to be released after rehabilitation they are. They offer great volunteer opportunities. Definitely recommend stoping by to visit these stunning birds and make sure to bring some apples or grapes!
