It’s a nice little place with friendly employees and a wide selection. However I have noticed that since getting bought by Feeders, they no longer have a lot of the smaller business collar and leash brands that they used to carry when they were Phydeaux. A little disappointing since they were the only physical store in the area that carried those brands, and was the main reason I would go out there. Either way the store is still clean and organized and the people there are friendly, but I do miss Phydeaux.

A breath of fresh air after coming from petco. You get the sense they genuinely care about animals well being. All products are priced fairly and they have a wide array of items that you can’t find in store. The employee who helped us was so excited to learn we had just adopted 2 rambunctious Cats that day and was ecstatic to keep us informed and well stocked. We purchased two carriers that our cats feel more safe in than the rest of our apartment. Would recommend.

This store is fabulous! They carry loads of high quality pet food varieties that you won't find in other big box stores. The employees are always ready and willing to assist.

Used to love Phydeaux, but it is no longer in business. it is now “Feeders Pet Supply.” Super upset that they closed and I was not aware. Their hours also are not open until 9 like it says on the website. Super disappointed they’re closed.

One of my favorite place in the area! They have an incredible selection of food, toys, beds, furniture, you name it! I always walk my dog there and enjoy browsing for hours.1. They are leashed pet friendly, bring your furbabies there and let them choose their own toys! (Just keep an eye on them not to steal the snacks on the open shelfs)2. They have incredible selection of foods, also really good prices as well, sometimes even better than chewys and petsmart, etc.3. They have some really cute hand-crafted wool pet cave, usually on the top of shelves is where the fun things will be!4. They are connected to local rescues and accept donations. If you have some food or toys your furball does not like, you can bring them there and choose a rescue to donate to!5. Their staff are always really helpful and welcoming, it is easy to tell how much they love animalsIf you are in the area, drop by and you will definitely like it!

Im really sad to do this, but I feel I must. This store underwent a change recently. They are now called “Feeders”. And since the chance, I’ve felt a shift in quality of employees. The last three times I’ve been in the store, it felt cold. No one greeted us, no interaction. No one asked if we needed help, if we were looking for something. They didn’t even greet the pup we had with us until we handed our card over for payment for what we were purchasing. I used to come to this store because of the welcoming environment it had. I’ve brought almost every foster pup I’ve had there, and purchased their food there. We were always treated very well until the change of hands. Sad to say, they are also phasing out our favorite brand of food and couldn’t give me an answer over the phone if they could special order it. If the in-store manager can’t figure out if something is available, that’s a problem. Oliver’s Collar had the answer for me within minutes. It’s sad to see a wonderful company go down so fast. I hope the new management can nip this in the bud quickly so they don’t get a bad reputation. Because we won’t be back.

Good selection of food and treats especially for dogs with allergies. The variety of toys and other supplies are good as well. The low rating is strictly because of their staff.Staff used to be friendly and helpful but now every time I seem to come to the store there is just one woman working and she makes the whole experience awful. She is always rude, cold and unfriendly. She seems annoyed that someone is in the store and annoyed if you bring your pet. It genuinely seems like she doesn’t like dogs. Her attitude and vibe makes you feel rushed and like you want to get in and out of the store as soon as possible. I’ve come here less and purchased less product because of this woman’s bad attitude and the way she makes you feel when you’re in the store. She shouldn’t work in the retail industry or in a pet store since both things seem to make her miserable.

I visited this Phydeaux location after a very unappealing experience at the Raleigh location. At the Raleigh location, I felt the staff was very cold, had no interest in saying a word to me as a customer, and were too busy talking to one another to notice I was even in the store. I went to the Cary location, figuring that one bad store can't make an entire company. Unfortunately, this one was just as bad, if not worse. The store is nearly silent, the employees could not even take a moment to ask if I needed anything or even say hello. After browsing the store (very awkwardly, given the silence in the middle of the day), my dog and I left and we went to Unleashed a couple miles up the road, where I had spectacular customer service. We purchased an identical product as I would have purchased at Phydeaux, but I could not bring myself to give this company a sale after the terrible customer service I have received at now two locations. Your employees clearly have no interest in making sales, no interest in talking with pet owners, and no interest in even talking to a dog (hey, maybe people aren't their thing?) I would say this company needs a serious customer service fix, but now it's been sold off to go corporate. It's truly a shame because the store is nice, but these employees need to hit the road and find a new day job.

I’ve loved Phydeaux for years, started going to the chapel hill one and continued going to the other locations when I moved to Raleigh. Just went in today and was very disappointed to find out they sold to a chain. There were already lots of products missing from the shelves and there were signs up making it seem like just a store name change, and the cashier was very rude when I asked about the change. She made it seem like it’s always been Feeders when I didnt know what rewards program she was asking about, and acted like I was dumb to not know the store had changed. Based off what feeders pet supply stocks on their website this place is just going to be another petco. It sucks losing a local shop that only carried high quality pet products.

Love the toys, love the selection of leashes, BUT, there are 2 employees who are very very unprofessional and rude. There is a young man there who is wonderful! When I see him, I know I will be valued. There is a young girl who I will walk out if I see she is the only one there. A few weeks ago I was there with my lab who is just over a year. For a lab, he’s pretty well behaved but he still needs to be told to sit when we are checking out. And this particular day, I was checking out with another young lady who is very friendly, and I said “Mylo sit”. I did have to repeat it one time because he was too busy looking at some thing, and I heard her in the aisle right by the register in a very condescending, snooty voice, saying.”Mylo sit, Mylo sit, Mylo sit”. Seriously?!?!? I have been going there for over a year. Not once has she been friendly. Horrible, horrible service.

They got bought out by a company called feeders. Another fine place going corporate! And they're not even to keep the name or anything. They're going to totally change it to a different pet store.Been going there for 10 years. This will be the last time. I hear unleashed is locally owned?

Love visiting Phydeaux! I come here for the great service and the variety of selection. From rain coats for little dogs, to big chews for huge dogs, they’ve got it all.

As much as I love the store itself, the attitude(a) of a few employees has managed to negatively impact my view of Phydeaux. My mom and I came in to shop yesterday with our dogs. We always come here and love supporting small businesses. The store is large and stocked most of the time, however pricing is higher than other competitors. At checkout, the store manager with brown hair, bangs, and piercings gave us attitude. She was unfriendly and backed away from me about 5 feet when I was inserting my debit card. I assume this is because we were not wearing masks (all employees wear masks still). There is NO sign on the door requiring masks and no other shoppers wore them!We are both vaccinated and boosted.I nicely asked a second employee what their mask policy was and she (with a rude tone) said that it was up to the customers.Me and my mother will not be shopping at this store any more because of this rude customer service behavior. We will be giving our money to Unleashed instead, where employees have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful.

Awesome pet supply store that has a different inventory when compared to big chain stores like PetSmart. They're definitely dog focused, but carry a decent selection of cat supplies as well. Worth checking out if you can't find a dog or cat food that the big chain stores don't stock. Also had unique cat toys that are harder to find.

I didn't know this place even existed and now I'm in love. It's HUGE and has such a huge variety of pet supplies. They also have a range enrichment toys for dogs which is amazing. There are a few puzzle feeders that I couldn't find online that I found here. They have a pretty wide range of food as well. I also bought a light up collar that ended up being defective but they allowed me to exchange it. The staff is super nice and helpful. Highly recommend going here for all things pets.

Nice shop with lots of choices. Our Groomer recommended checking out this shop, so we did. They have a wide selection of dog and cat items. Many natural/ healthy food choices too. There was a large selection of toys, dog bed and bowel. They have natural bones which is why we went in. My dog didn't pick anything out today, but I did see many happy pups and parents. The staff were nice, and one lady offered my girl a cookie which she was happy about.

Great location, awesome store. They have everything you and your pet need. Pretty big store with a huge collection of everything, chews, toys, harnesses, pet food. By far they have the best of pet food in the whole area. Staff is friendly, most of them are happy to help you pick out the right stuff.

Nice staff, not sure why others would think them rude. I was without my mask and grateful they were wearing theirs. It was nice not to be bugged about what I was looking for or why, anymore I like my distance. The lady was very nice while I cashed out with my dog food. Always come here and will continue to do so.

Staff at Phydeaux were very helpful as I struggle in my efforts to raise a German Shepherd puppy. Great recommendations for teething toys and chewables, and incredibly friendly to my girl when she got her shots and was able to visit. I'm happy to give a local store my business, especially when they so obviously care about their customers.

We love Phydeaux. From in store shopping to their Phetch Delivery Service, they are awesome. It's great to find a place that cares about pets, has high quality items, does special orders and where you know you're shopping local. Thanks, Phydeaux!

This is one of the best pet stores in the area. There is an abundance of everything you need for your dog, cat, and even small animals. Phydeaux has a very cozy atmosphere, I could browse for hours lol. They have holistic and high end products for all. Also the employees are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend

I really expect better quality from Phydeaux. I got two toys for my dog from Phydeaux and both the toys got ripped apart in two days. They were not cheap toys, one was about $16 and the other was about $7. When I took it back the store representative said that it cannot be taken back because the toys are destroyed. I can expect toys for dogs to be torn up eventually, but in two days? Really? And you dont call that a defective product? They did not even offer me any replacement for my purchase.I am very disappointed with the quality of my purchase from Phydeaux. I used to go there frequently and used to buy a lot of stuff for my pets. I will think twice about going there now if this is the quality of their products.

The best pet store in the triangle. Amazing selection of dog toys, beds, food, leashes, collars, and more. Lots of cat stuff too, but we're only have dogs. I only go in when I have extra to spend because I always find something great for my dogs. Be sure to check out the dog puzzle toys near the front wall. Great helpful staff.

Phydeaux has been bought by Feeders. I have visited twice since the switch. They've lost my business due to extremely unpleasant staff. I doubt they stay open. I will be looking for somewhere else to spend my money.

My experience on the phone with Mike was extremely helpful. However, in person the same day was subpar. When I walked in, the ladies who worked there never greeted my dog. Now of course I am bias that my sweet Tripod Beagle is the most adorable pup, but no one greeted her. There was not a warm welcome or kind vibe there. I won't go back, sadly. This was the vibe I have been told about from several of the workers there but have incredible inventory. After this experience and one before, I will stick with other locally owned businesses. This is always those reviews that are a bummer to write that are ones that reflect the rumors or experiences people have told me about. Customer service is everything.

What a great pet shop! Amazing supplies, variety and selection, with reasonable prices. If you need pet food, snacks, dog beds, ADORABLE leashes, etc. this is a fun place to go and shop. (Also feels great to support and independent business:)

So happy to have found this store!! Since moving to NC from Seattle I knew I was going to have issues finding my pets dog food. Couldn't contain my excitement finding it here. They carry better brands of pet food. Consider it a "natural" pet food store. Staff is pretty helpful at check out - I usually have to approach them if I cannot find something. I guess I like to be greeted when I walk in and asked if I need assistance. I'm all about old school customer service.
