I shop here often sometimes 2 to three times a week. Everyone is friendly sometimes, some of the young folks, not so much. Jack is extremely friendly and helpful. I like to shop at a place where people speak and recognize you and that happens here.

I give Food Lion a 3 due to their lack of respect and attitude toward the customer. They need to do better at Traing their young cashiers. One cashier kept sucking on a frozen popsicle in one hand while using the other one hand to scan my items. Another kept right on laughing and joking with other young employees while checking me out, never once even recognizing I was standing right in front of her.It's very frustrating and disrespectful!!

THE place to be in Carthage...not that there is a lot of choice, but it's always well staffed and running smoothly. You can tell the people there work hard to make it a good shopping experience. Edit for 2024, I am very sorry to say self checkout sillyness and chaos has come to the food lion, no longer the bastion of common sense, food lion has gone the way of less reasonable stores. Nope, it just lost a star.

Great local grocery store, with a great selection of vegetables and fruit. A fairly good selection of wines and beers. The only thing that they are really missing is any real fresh fish selection. The staff are friendly and always willing to help with any question you may have.

Always very helpful and willing.Good prices, also.Was short a coupl times and employees kindly, quickly, gave out their pocket even tho I was willing to put something back.Once, was $15 short and the cashier kindly said not to out back and he gave it out his pocket!I am adamant to repay each time with extra given, for their kindness and willingness!GREAT FOLKS!GREAT PRICES!GREAT STORE!I COMMEND THE MANAGERS!Will ALWAYS shop there!Thank you all!

I was disappointed Friday Sept 2,2022.I told the cashier I put the groceries on the counter how I would like them bagged. I have a bad back and can't lift heavy. You know when your not looking they will try and shove 500 groceries in one bag. I lived here and shopped here for over 20 years. The manager said she couldn't accommodate my request. I said are you telling me I'm supposed to shop somewhere else. I have never had this happen to me. The other managers and cashiers don't have a problem not making the bags to heavy. Why a problem now.I will bring my owns bags if you can't supply bags. Just put a sign up letting customers know.

Very clean and organized store. Excellent baked goods selection. Has a dedicated organic produce section. The produce selection overall is great and prices are very good. Aisles could be a tad bit wider but usually not a problem if they are not too crowded. The meat and poultry selection and prices are very good. Decent selection on frozen fish as well. Frozen food selection is great. Beer selection is good too.

Carthage NC, Bag boys stand around talking while i ws bagging, putting my groceries in the buggy then i had to ask them for help when i turned around they were gone, they left my buggy & i had to go back get my cart & take my groceries to my vehicle. So I got a manager/assent manager the lady had the nerve to say that they didn't hear me , When everyone else in line, plus the cashier heard me. Ppl at this FL are LAZY! Someone should get ALL New Employees!7 Lakes gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because the ppl their work & Are Much Friendly!

Was in your store just before Thanksgiving and a cashier by the name of Kim went over and above normal service to help us obtain some items we needed. You need to clone her! I am 72 years old and have never experienced that kind of courtesy from a grocery store employee! She is special!

It is the only store in town and it has the town monopolized. Wish another store would come to town to be a competitor with food lion. There are people in this town that don't have no ways to go to other towns where they have multiple store to shop at (competitors). When you go to food lion to shop they don't have what you need and if they do have it you have to walk around and look for it. Food lion is really becoming a big disappointment throughout its company. Some of the employees are good and very helpful and some of the employees don't care.

Just like any other food Lion I suppose. Seems like everything is clean in this store even the bathrooms. Workers have always been more than nice. Carthage a nice area anyway and everyone in it are nice people not snotty like some places.

The store was using all necessary cleaning equipment to ensure shopping carts and front end were clean. Proper social distancing protocols were being followed. A good place to shop for your grocery needs!

They never have what I need.People are nice but for yrs now more and more items have to be purchased elsewhere. Since Food Lion is the only grocery store in town we have no choice. Sad.....

Good, clean store. Watch out for egg, butter, fruit, and vegetable pricing; these seem to be high profit areas for them. Fair deli, bakery, and wine selection, for a low end grocery store. Good beer, and wine prices, Food Lion seem to use these items as loss leaders as practiced by many convenience stores as well as grocery chains.Watch out for their "WOW" signs. These signs are there to draw your attention. Treat them as warning signs that mean "Wow that's expensive," and leave the item on the shelf.As a positive price example, milk is usually a good deal, even though eggs are pricey. Go next door to Dollar General for your eggs as they will often be less than half of the price.Overall the staff are friendly, and glad to help, the store is clean, it's a comfortable place to pick up a few things, or do some select grocery shopping, and do be selective.

Food Lion in Carthage was really I need store and clean they were all wearing masks it was easy checking us out and they even offer to carry the groceries to our vehicle because I am handicapped

Cashier was rude, acted angry because she had to step away from the register to complete my transaction, only one option in marshville if you need to pick something up from the grocery store. Driving an additional 10 or 15 miles is a better option most days.

It's the only grocer in town and has pretty much everything we need. My family frequents this Food Lion. Some of the people that work here are great while others... not so much, depends on who you catch working that day.
