The male pharmacist at the Jones Ferry Walgreens is awful. I called him to tell him I was stuck in traffic and would get there by 6:01 and asked him to stay open one extra minute so I could get my post surgery medicines. He was extremely rude and condescending and told me he could wait until 6:01 and no later. Then he said in a very condescending way, "would there be anything else?" I will absolutely never use this Pharmacy again even though it is very close to my house.

After the Walgreens takeover the quality of the service at this location underwent a steep decline. At this point, the pharmacy cannot fill my prescriptions in a timely manner, resulting in repeated missed doses of important medication. My refills are delayed or cancelled for unknown reasons nearly every time I try to refill something. The pharmacy closes on weekends, as apparently people stop needing their medication after 6 PM on Friday. The wait times both on the phone and in person are ridiculous. The pharmacy is not properly staffed, or ever organized/on top of things. I strongly recommend against using this pharmacy. Put your health needs in the hands of a pharmacy that is more coordinated and helpful. At this point, any other pharmacy satisfies this criteria.

This Walgreens pharmacy is horrible. Some days you go and the pharmacy is packed with workers. They put them all on the same day and then stay closed all weekend. Then if you have certain meds you can’t switch you have to just hope for the best. Also they will tell you somethings out of stock so they don’t have to fill it just to leave and call and they say sure we have it. Also I’m Spanish and every single time (for years) when I go to get my every two week meds I ask them to make sure they txt when ready or call cause I’ll be in the store waiting. They won’t txt or even try to say my name to let me know, then I wait for over an hour each time. Racist people. They say everyone else’s name when ready. I hate they are so close to me because if not I would go else where but seeing how you never ever know these past few years when they are open to get your meds I might need to anyways- the people who work the actual store are amazing and sweet :)

The Pharmacy staff and pharmacist were super nice to me at this location. I got both covid shots at this location. Made an appointment online and only had to wait 30 mins or so each time. The staff was very nice to me as was the pharmacist who gave the shots. Five stars. They were super nice. While I was filling out paper work I watched one person in line arguing with the pharmacist about how he shouldn’t have to show an id. The customer was super rude to the staff. Then 10 mins later I watched another customer complain that he shouldn’t have to wait for 15 min to get a shot. He was super rude. He went on and on and then stormed out, I felt sorry for the staff. They handled both situations very well. They were doing a great job both times I went to this location. Five stars.

If you can avoid this Walgreens pharmacy, please do. I showed up to get a prescription last week and they were “temporarily closed” all day because they couldn’t find a pharmacist to work. The pharmacy always has a long line. The pharmacy never answers the phone. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’ve had an unpleasant experience with staff, but it is clear they are understaffed and managed horribly.

I agree with the other comments. The actual pharmacists are great. However, if you need to call to find out whether or not a med is ready, or for any other issue, they simply DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONES. I've been on hold for two hours, just to get hung up on. I reached out to the regional manager, Tom Sporleder to figure out what the issue is. You cannot blame this solely on staffing issues. Get this fixed, or become a vaccine clinic, and stop selling medicine.

I can now see why the rating is so low. I was there for a covid vaccine shot. The appointment time was 3:40. I arrived on time but waited for 50 minutes to get my shot. I don’t want to blame the pharmacist, but I think the manager for this store apparently has some management issue.

Lady pharmacist Mellissa yelled at me, threw her hands up and let me know she was annoyed. I recently updated my information and she didn’t ask me for it, but instead sat behind the counter and shook her head. A kind man took time out to help me. I have NEVER encountered such a hateful person. You should never talk to a customer that way, even if the customer did something to warrant sun behavior, but I did not deserve to be spoken to like that. Shame on you Walgreens

One of the rudest pharmacy departments I have ever experienced. So much worse since Walgreens took over. They changed the employees, probably fired them. The items are extremely expensive. The pharmacy tech Hope has a smart alecky attitude towards customers. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

Scheduled a flu shot here. They do them right out in the open with zero privacy, so everyone waiting in line can hear everything and watch you. When I went it was very crowded and the setup, combined with how old and dirty the store is, was just way too sketchy for me. I couldn't go through with it, it just felt too weird and gross. I can't explain the vibe in there, it just feels...sketchy.

Booked an appointment for a Covid shot exactly one hour prior, showed up and they told me they don’t have enough vaccinations. And was rude to how he told me. Sooooo😹😹 “they used all their doses”

i have unfortunately never gone in this store without a wait and/or there being limited staff. that's not their fault, but it makes trips there a little tedious, so i only go in if i am not in a hurry or for a specific item i can only find there..

A typical clean and well stocked Walgreens. Pharmacy short handed today. Expect a wait, but Pharmacy staff was efficient and courteous. ALERT: this location closes at 6 pm daily. Also, CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAYS INDEFINITELY. Effective immediately..

They are ok. I’ve been coming for over 10 years when it was Rite Aid. I thought when WG took over they’d revamp the place, but it’s still pretty shabby inside. It’s not as nice as a new WG. I’m also concerned about what they did with all the old pharmacists. I hope they found better jobs. It was lovely to be greeted by name.at least ( I think ) they got rid of the manager that would smoke outside the front door.

Store is a bit sparse and outdated on the inside. The pharmacy folks are always friendly and kind anytime I run in to pick up my Rx. I called with a complicated question about my insurance/pharmacy benefits and the pharmacy staff member who helped me was patient and helpful - wish I’d gotten her name.

My wife and I were in Carrboro 3 weeks ago visiting our son and daughter-in-law. My wife broke her leg, i.e. fibula, the 2nd day during our visit, while bicycling around the UNC campus. She was prescribed pain medication that I ordered from this Walgreens pharmacy. Since she was not that mobile I went to Walgreens to pick up her medication. I was treated EXTREMELY WELL by Kyle and the other pharmacy technicians! They all exhibited the very best qualities of professionalism! I cannot for the life of me why anyone would review these professionals any othe way. Thank you Kyle and all the other technicians for your very professional service!
