Well it's not even closing time and and they want to lock there doors at 8:40 pm when they close at 9 pm. there's something always wrong with there card machines everytime you come there. Like it's so ridiculous. The employees are rude and lazy and the store is absolutely disgusting and very disorganized. Definitely better places to shop. Take your business elsewhere.

She said to "give" her ten minutes almost an hour ago, store still not open but she's walked past the door smiling at me twice.Her fifth job in this particular area, a local person told me.Little wonder why.

I just wanna say the nice Young lady Amy was very helpful and nice she made sure I was taken care of you don't find good ppl like that these days when we come in her store she always greet us with a smile 😊

It's pretty typical for a Dollar General. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It is in a nicer plaza so I guess I expected it to be nicer than it is. The store has that weird thrift store smell; kind of smells like old cardboard and dust. Has the same bizarre assortment of products most Dollar Generals have. Not exceptionally tidy or well organized. It does have a nice selection of cleaning products though and the staff seems nice.

Clearly dollar general dug in the trash and picked employees out of it. The big back white woman at the register is rude, and clearly hates her job. She acts so irritated anytime you ask her anything, and she knows nothing about the store. She’s just there for decoration and being on her phone. Hire better people or pay more so you can hire better employees. Bottom of the barrel people in this establishment.

i have watched over the years as this location has slowly gone down in organization/being stocked. the employees are always very kind and helpful, but the store is usually quite messy, so i only go if there is a specific item i need.

The employees are lovely, and very friendly and helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that the store itself is pretty run down and messy, but that's not unusual for a Dollar General.

This has to be the worst Dollar General in the entire company, consistently each and every time I have to go in there. Located in Carrboro Plaza which is a nice place; this is an eyesore and dangerous to navigate with many stock carts and items littering the aisles. The store is always messy and low or out on many things. The employees are rude and don’t care about their store or customers. Also, why must they have a mini boombox BLARING inappropriate music in the faces of customers who they direct to self checkout because they are so lazy. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I have shopped at this particular Dollar General location for several years. Personally, I have found the employees to be friendly, helpful, and personable. Their shelves are usually well stocked making it easy for me to find what I need quickly. I do recommend this location.

I visit every 3 months and they always have everything on my list. The manager is the best. She goes out of her way to make me feel welcomed and directs me to the items I need. So friendly. Looking forward to the new store remodel. Thanks Dollar General, Carrboro, NC

I’ve visited a lot of dollar general stores in the past and I’ve never had an bad experience until I visited this location in carrboro nc. This location is so unorganized and filthy. There were carts of boxes sitting in aisles. Items were were not in the right place, I found a bottle of pine on the shelf that was labeled $1, meaning everything on the shelf was $1. Well when I went to checkout, the cashier told me that the item was not $1. Okay 😒, I also had a 8 pack of store brand toilet paper that cost $8.95. I was in absolute disbelief when I saw the price I immediately said never mind because I thought the other items would be extremely costly so I decided to not go through with the purchase. As my daughter and I were leaving she overheard the cashier use profanity because we didn’t want the items. How unprofessional was that. You don’t like your job than quit and find something you enjoy.

They look like they are going out of business, and it's not just getting ready for Christmas, but for awhile now, months, the shelves are hardly ever stocked, and it is quite messy. Staff are always friendly but management must not being doing a so well. They've really fallen off.

This Dollar General has the best customer service. Every time I go there, I’m greeted with a hello and sent out with a “have a good day!” Shout our to Ms. Byrd for being the best cashier and all around wonderful person

The debit card reader machine was broken so I had to use cash and the store was trash/items all over the floor

Stores promotes false advertisement. Places “last chance” items in a section marked CLEARANCE all though the prices do not reflect clearance. Visited on 1.13.18 and even my cashier agreed this wasn’t right. I do plan to contact corporate because I don’t agree to this. Appropriately mark your items or at least offer some form of discount especially when a bulk of your items are not properly marked. And yes I know I have the option to shop elsewhere and if nothing can be resolved I do plan to take my business elsewhere.

All I needed was calamine lotion for poison ivy) that's all...my arms and legs and feet....... forcing someone out of the store without a face mask, will cause more harm than good... Now that many people are choosing to refuse to wear my face mask...Now our country is going to be further separated between people who want to wear face masks and people who don't.....

I like this store, the prices are very good and you can find a lot of things that you need from food, kids clothes kitchen gadgets. Laundry detergents, decorations. They have a good variety. The employees are very helpful and very courteous.

Don't stop here if you're a motorcyclist and carry all your personal belongings in a back pack. They told me I had to leave my backpack at the front of the store. If they don't trust motorcyclist's shopping there, why should motorcyclist trust leaving their backpack with all their expensive personal effects with a Dollar General store manager?

The store is always a mess and hard to get through. And I got there 15 mins before closing and it made them upset and they almost wouldn't let me in. I only needed diapers for my son and I basically had to beg them to let me in. I hate that they're the only one near me. I'm about to the point that I would rather pay a little more in food lion or harris teeter than to go in Dollar General.

Came by today, I got 2 small things and the lady didn’t give me a bag, instead handed me my items. Even though I had heard her ask the lady in front of me if she wanted a bag, I myself had to grab a bag.

Good store but watch the pricing to make sure products ring up at the same price as the posted price on the shelf (same at all Dollar Generals). Store is not super neat and clean, but it's fine.

It's not dollar tree, so no everything's not a dollar or 2 or 3 maximum 7. But, this place has a wider variety in its choices. See, dollar tree, has a very.. rough look. They should seriously tidy up the isles. Dollar general is highkey wheel chair accessible as well, and, theres litterally one in every state .

Smaller older box store in an older shopping center that sometimes suffers from clutter and disorganization. But, as always, there are bargains galore. Often comes in handy in a quick pinch.
