I needed to print out a variety of photos, which turned out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated. Staff, especially Debbie, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, sticking with me and patiently explaining and walking me through the complex and time-consuming process until the job was done. She even delayed her lunch to assist me. CVS is lucky to have an employee like Debbie!

This CVS store is very clean and busy , Also is the best pharmacy I have ever had. They have been nothing but helpful, kind, and accommodating. Phil is the greatest pharmacist ever and whenever I have a problem with things filling on time or insurance stuff, he's fixed it within minutes. 1000 stars.

Got an auto notification that mom had 4 scripts ready. Make a special trip on Sunday to pick them up 1/2 hour each way, only to have them say there are no scripts.. well either the pharmacy, or their automated system was wrong. Either way we will be changing to a non CVS pharmacy.

CVS is horrendous for filling prescriptions. Monthly, I attempt to order a medication in advance to give the locations time to order. Seems keeping inventory is a struggle these days. Drug shortages are not CVS' fault, however, having an accurate handle on inventory and ordering medications not in stock is.I place the order days in advance, they never order, I then have to spend hours calling other locations to see if they have inventory as the systems CVS uses to look into other stores is highly inaccurate. After noticing the prescription is delayed, I call in wasting time on their automated menus as I know a phone tree can't resolve this challenge. I then ask if the medication will be in stock today, they say no, I then ask which stores have it, they provide a few stores, I call those stores and learn the information I obtained is outdated. CVS' inventory systems do not update in realtime. So then I spend more time calling other stores, and once I find a store that has it, that means a two hour round trip...Seems like this is a challenge CVS should be able to solve given we have these things called computers, with inventory management systems, these are regulated products, this medication isn't controlled meaning no one would ever steal it for recreational use. It's for migraines. So, every month, I have to spend one Saturday or Sunday seeking a drug like a junkie trying to get a fix, because CVS overworks their pharmacists, invests in no technology, puts five expensive stores on the same block, and wonders why their business model isn't keeping up with the current times.I'm forced to use CVS by my insurance or my cost will be in the hundreds of dollars for this medication. For migraines. Do we think this experience might lead to more migraines? This was the most recent store to fail as I'm at a point where I'm simply circulating between CVS locations to see if I can find one, just one that is competent. Still looking. Going to trash each one along the way as this is insane.Providing medications should be a pharmacies #1 priority as opposed to stocking the store with junk food that will make people need these medications. I can buy all the soda and candy at a CVS I want, but if I need a life-changing medication, ehhh, sorry buddy, we're building a store down the block so we can be incompetent there as well... Makes no sense

Truly a joke of a pharmacy. You'll get multiple texts saying your prescriptions are ready. So you go 30+ minutes out of your way to get there and be told nothing is ready. And won't be anytime soon. Either fix your system or treat people with critical medication with more respect.Avoid this spot for anywhere else in Carrboro or Chapel Hill

When I called and said I needed to fill a prescription the pharmacist hung up the phone on me then refused to pick it up when I called back.Abysmal customer service.

I went this morning to get a money order, the older woman running the register was rude and had no idea what she was talking about. She claimed that western union money orders cannot be more than one thousand dollars, which they can be just split into $500 increments. Then she said that you can only pay cash for it, which is also not true. I just gave up and went next door to Harris Teeter. I was taken care of there in less than 10 minutes. If you are going to offer a service, at least train the employees the correct way to do them with the correct information to relay to a paying customer. Also if a name tag says customer service then they should at least have some kind of friendly customer service quality instead of being rude. Very cluttered too.

This location in Carrboro is excellent. I’ve been going there for many years and the last few have been even better. Pharmacy staff are always helpful and efficient. They helped me work through an annoying insurance issue on a holiday to get a prescribed med that my husband needed. They recently remodeled the store and I think the arrangement is better. Have gotten vaccines here as well. They have the best staff !

CVS in Carrboro, next to Harris Teeter is easy to get in, get out with friendly staff and a clean store.I never knew what CVS stood for, so I Googled it: Convenience, Value, Service. This store has all three!Open 7 days a week 7-midnight

Pluses: the employees here generally try to be helpful. They're courteous and friendly and do their best to help out.The minuses: this place always seems to be in a state of chaos - understaffed, under construction (I've lost count of the number of times they've reconfigured the layout over the years), and busier than all get out.The ultra-minus: CVS as a chain has possibly the worst voice menu system in the history of voice menu systems. I would rather stare into the gaping maw of Cthulhu than deal with the CVS voice menu.

Do not use this pharmacy ... They are unwilling to fix mistakes made by another CVS pharmacy located in Watertown NY ... They told me that I and my Dr need to fix cvs's mistake ... This is a complete 180 from what the carboro pharmacist told me last week in person when I requested a refill ...

The worst pharmacy experience ever.We got prescription for antibiotics for our very sick child. We came to pick it up they said it will be ready at 9:30 p.m.At 9:30 they said they are soon closing and whole CVS is having shortage of amoxicillin and advice to go to urgent care! Goodness, how is it even possible to be so ubresponsible leaving child without medication through the night? Why you even have staff that has no main information?

I’m a physician and some front desk person at the pharmacy tried to tell me about CDC mandates and vaccines. Go elsewhere if you need a vaccine.

One of the nicest pharmacists I have ever had to interact with. My daughter had to get 6 months worth of her meds as she was studying abroad for the semester. Bob was more than helpful. He talked with her and then me regarding the steps needed. When I called the plan to get it approved, there was some work I had to get Bob to do in order for it to clear. Called him back and he worked on it right a way to get it resolved quickly. Very friendly, helpful and efficient. None of the CVS pharmacists up in my area (MD) are ever this nice and helpful. Thanks!!

This shop is literally stealing money from the shoppers. Every item is priced 2/3 times higher than that in other shops like Walmart, Target, etc. They give the discount, but they don’t consider it while checking out! Any shop should not have any card system. Why should they have their own card? For stealing money from the shoppers who do not have the card?

I'm a retired Pharmacist and I've been going to this Carrboro, NC location for about 3 years now. I've never had any problems with the Management or Staff. They have always been polite , understanding and professional. They take care of their waiting customers much faster than the wait at other Pharmacies, just as I did in my Pharmacy. They exceed all expectations of a large chain pharmacy and I don't mind driving more than 40 minutes, passing many other Pharmacies along the way, to do business at this location. Keep up the good work.

I used to enjoy this pharmacy but it hasn’t been great lately. My prescriptions are rarely ready when I arrive and I am usually forced to walk around the store for 15 or 20 minutes. I get automated phone calls almost every day which I cannot figure out how to opt out of. They NEVER answer the phone when you call the pharmacy. It adds stress to a process that can already be very aggravating. Would not recommend.

Great service and friendly staff—which, in my experience, is typical at any CVS—but this pharmacy is replete with students from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy from nearby UNC Chapel Hill, one of the best pharmacy schools in the nation. They’re always so knowledgeable and helpful, friendly and courteous.

I was so disappointed at the service I received today! I went in to exchange a moisturizer I had purchased for one from a different brand. Although I lost my receipt, I didn't think it would be a problem because they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee with or without a receipt. When I explained to the cashier that the moisturizer reacted badly with my skin and I wanted to get a new one from another brand (which was more expensive, by the way, so I would have been giving them more money), she was very rude about it and told me I could only exchange it for the same brand. She didn't even mention that I could have gotten a CVS money card as a refund instead, which I only discovered after checking their policy online, after the fact. She also told me if I wanted to exchange it for the other brand I'd have to go back home, pull up my purchase history on the CVS website, print that out, and bring it back in! I never return cosmetic or skin care purchases that I've used (even when I have a receipt) because I feel horrible about it, but after spending $15 dollars I wanted something that would work. Because this horrible cashier essentially made me feel bad about wanting a decent product, and acted like I'd stolen it or something, I will not be returning to that CVS, which is a shame because it's the closest one to my apartment. I had almost decided to abandon CVS totally except I decided to try one in Chapel Hill (off of 54) after checking their refund policy. The cashier there was extremely helpful and let me exchange it without a problem (he refunded it on a money card and used it towards the other moisturizer). But the one on Greensboro Street needs some serious customer service training because I would not call my experience "100% satisfaction guaranteed."

Do not go here for any pharmacy needs. Go anywhere else. They were dismissive and short the entire 2 hours it took for me to collect my prescription.Normally this would not earn a one-star review by itself, but this is your health. If it is at all important to you, don't go here. Because I promise you, it sure isn't important to them.

**GO ANYWHERE ELSE** Probably the worst CVS I've ever been in, dirty, run-down, understaffed, and disorganized, and were either massively delayed (1 hour+ wait time) or unable to fill prescriptions for many of the long line of people waiting there. I have no idea how they're still in business

The pharmacists are usually friendly and bend over backwards to get my prescriptions filled ASAP. The cashiers remind me of the kind of folks you get to know behind the counter of your favorite small-town store. Most of the employees there knew my name by second year as a customer.

I think that my frustration probably has more to do with the system design vs. something specific and local to this store. I stood in line to pick up my prescription and they told me they are still working on it. So I’m waiting thinking they will let me know when it’s ready. But that’s not the case you have to go up and ask and check in frequently to see it’s ready. That’s such a pain. What’s terrible at this particular store is the customer service and the attitude. They aren’t nice and also don’t communicate the process clearly.I can see the benefit of using an online pharmacy not to have to deal with customers who make me unhappy especially when I’m not feeling well. I don’t think they are empathizing and realizing that picking up a prescription likely means people are sick at home and there are several things to do to at home to care for the sick family member so hanging out the cvs unnecessarily isn’t top of list.

They do a great job. Most CVS and for that matter most chain pharmacies I've used in the past can be a real pain but these guys are really nice and they hustle to get things done! Keep up the great work

The pharmacy is great but the rest of the store is terrible. In particular, the staff are rude and unhelpful. The duo that often works nights are the absolute worst, especially the guy. He's about the worst employee I've ever encountered in any store, period. Rude, sarcastic, dismissive, unhelpful, and lazy. Most recently, he mocked me for bringing a reusable bag. Terrible attitude. His coworker is just lazy and slow and likes to complain. I go for the pharmacy, but try to avoid having to interact with the front store staff.

Always a terrible time getting meds filled here. They constantly tell me they're waiting Dr authorization despite it being insurance authorization. Then always a hell of a long wait to simply pay out of pocket. I literally come in here every month and have to tell them how to do their job. I'm switching pharmacies after sitting in here four hours tonight on a simple refill my doctor called in earlier in the day.

Customer service has been terrible every time I've gone and one woman was particularly rude. When I complained to the manager nothing changed and the woman still acted like she hated people. Also half the time the things I'm looking for aren't there because they don't stock well. Also, they don't have all the things advertised in the weekly ad. I felt uncomfortable and dissatisfied when I shopped there and I went often since it is close to my house. Finally, I realized that I shouldn't be having that experience and never went again. I've been going to the one on Franklin and they are always accommodating and courteous. Plus they have a much better selection!

Go to any other Pharmacy. I had recently moved to CH and have gone to this CVS b/c it is closest to my house. However, I have yet to go in there and have everything go right, in fact it is usually 80% wrong. They never seem to have my prescriptions filled correctly and when you inquire by phone (they don't answer, just leave you on hold until you give up or the one time they did answer they hung up on me after I told them I got the wrong med- the person actually said "Ugh, I don't have time for this" and hung up) or you can inquire by person and get shuffled around because nobody knows the answer or doesn't want to take responsibility for the mistake. They have gone so far as to call my Dr. to get a new Rx when their computer system (so they say) used all my refills- they couldn't adjust on their own, so to my Dr. it appears that I have refilled my Rx and used a 3 month supply in 3 weeks- thank goodness it is just a thyroid med so it doesn't raise any red flags- but if I had been a patient with a pain killer drug or something of the sort, this would have posed a real problem (also side note- where did those pills go that were accounted for in my refills- don't they have extra- isn't there any inventory surplus? Who knows? but they don't seem to care). I keep trying to give them another chance or hope for the best and go in with extreme patience. Most of the staff members are nice (although I hate to say it, seem incompetent) and seem to be overwhelmed because it is a busy store, there have been two people there that are outright rude and so discontent in their jobs that they give no regard to good customer service. Save your time, your frustration and your sanity- choose another pharmacy.
