Would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza from them and got this instead: it arrived super late; cold and nowhere what I ordered. No notifications as to tracking. Pizza tasted cold burnt and horrible. Overpaid for food and tip for this disaster. $33 plus tip. Can’t get my money back. Do not recommend.

Amante Gourmet Pizza has some delicious pizza.There was a lunch special that had a small pizza with a drink. Pretty good deal, pizza was fresh and made to order.The staff was real friendly and helpful. I was told the online ordering system doesn’t work very well. It was recommended to give the restaurant a call to place an order.I would recommend giving this place a try.

The Philly steak was a joke. Definitely not Ribeye meat. Looked like mystery meat. My peppers and onions were raw and cool to the touch. As I waited for my order I heard one employee I guess was the manager yelling at another employee in front of customers which was rude. The tables were absolutely disgusting and no one to clean them. I didn't know I had to clean my own table. Weird... and the overly sensitive multicolor haired people eating around me don't know about hygiene.

I've decided to shoot for 2-5 (2= Order Made Correctly) lol 😆... Ok, enough shade 😎. After placing my order online, My overall experience was HORRIBLE...🙄🤷🏾 Hear me out...Got a text stating the order was delayed 🙃, that's fine, things happen. Finally Arrived at the pizza 🍕 joint, greeted by [Tracy Chapman Reject] the cashier. Give her my name, and what I ordered. 🙄 She looks at me, and says "Are you sure 🤔 you ordered here, what restaurant 🙄 did you order from?" 💡(Sidebar) Who drives in 44° weather, NOT knowing what pizza joint they used... clearly it would be in your #Short-term memory,💡 🤷🏾🙄🤣😂 I was APPALLED. "Uhhhh, I think I know what restaurant 🍕, let me show you the text!" We went back/forth and then she checks the back, duh... The bottom line is, she NEVER did her due diligence, effective listening 👂, service 🙄 excellence, nothing. My name was clearly written 🙄 on the box, I came with receipts. A bad experience. 👎The pizza 🍕 was decent, but the amount of mushrooms 🍄 😳 were OVERKILL, considering it had some sort of vinegarette base. I almost got the impression 😅, the mushrooms 🍄 were an afterthought, so to speak. The chicken etc were cooked into the pizza 🍕, but the mushrooms 🍄 appeared to have been sprinkled on. I like the pizza at this place, and the menu has a good variety. It is a little pricey, but hey, if you want cheap stuff there are two mega chain stores with greasy garbage right down the street. Recently, I have REALLY enjoyed the antipasto salad, which actually seems like a pretty good bang for the buck. There seem to be some bad reviews about the staff, but they have always been nice enough to me. I have been there a dozen times or so, but only dine in or carry out. I will return when I am in town.

If you want cold pizza brought to your table 45 minutes after you order, by surly employees(especially the manager) this is the place for you. Two weeks in a row, not during a busy period. Why did I go back?A real shame since Amante used to be the best pizza in Carrboro/Chapel Hill

I have been a regular customer for years. Lately though when I call an order for a simple sub and get there around the 25 minutes they tell me I have had to wait another 15 minutes or so because it was not ready. I understand that times vary depending on how busy they are but the few times it was not busy. Also last time one of the cooks was throwing a hissy in the back cussing out one of the managers. This is uncalled for as patrons are waiting and can clearly hear what is being said. For the prices charged here I would expect better.

The lunch special is a great deal on a small pizza with lots of topping options. I also highly recommend the ham & cheese sub. The garlic mayo they use on it is excellent. The Italian sub is a good choice also.

I highly recommend and will be coming back!!!! Very satisfying pizza with the most flavorful cheese I have had on a pizza in a long time. Their version of Margherita pizza was memorable. Very reasonably priced. Wish we had known about Amante before trying Hawkers Asian Street food the prior evening. Would have been much happier and saved a load of money.(I know Hawkers has many fans, I am not dissing you, the food was very disappointing and poor quality that night.)Parking: Easier and more spots for parking than surrounding favorite streets with restaurants.

I always go into the restaurant to eat, because their delivery pizzas seem to be a little different for some reason--more salty and a bit tougher. This review applies to what I've gotten on-site. They have a bajillion toppings, including some alternative sauces to replace the standard red, and a healthy selection of dressings on each table (though you might have to snag one from a neighboring table if you're missing one).Parking: The place shares a parking lot with three other fairly popular establishments (ArtsCenter, Cat's Cradle, and a taproom whose name I can't remember), so parking is usually a hassle.

Food was only okay (pizza and Cesar salad with chicken - I'd give it a 3 out of 5). Some of the workers were rude. They changed the music to rap music right when we sat down after ordering a full pizza with a salad. I am a big fan of rap music, but they were blasting wutang, which is full of curse words. It was 5pm on a Friday. We had our 5 year old with us and the only other customer was a family with a toddler. This music was so loud that we couldn't even talk at the table. It felt deliberately rude, like they wanted us to leave and over come back. I got the message and will never go back.

Ordered here for lunch delivery that was a 9 minute drive to my location. Ordered it ahead of time to be delivered at a certain time and the order was over 30 minutes late. The delivery driver was terrible at communicating and when I called up there to ask where the order was, the person who answered the phone was rude and unhelpful. We ordered a sandwich and wings. The wings were overcooked and dry and the sauce was oily and didn't taste like bbq. The sandwich had barely any filling with only one piece of turkey in between the bread. I have ordered pizza from here multiple times and never been disappointed, but I was very disappointed this time.

I am an avid pizza guy and Amante is a great pizza place! I am always suspect on “gourmet” pizza as that can mean they don’t get pizza- but not here- they have really good pizza and great service. Most important to me is crust and cheese- crust was crispy on outside with some bubbles and good “chewiness” once u bite.cheese was just enough but not too much and was the real deal. The ingredients were super fresh- great pepperoni and the Italian sausage was awesome!!! Thinly sliced not balled up. We also had a Greek salad and it was super fresh and really good olives and feta cheese. Service was so friendly and attentive and they just do a great job. Made our night!!! Go get pizza here- I promise you won’t be disappointed

The guy taking our order wasn’t very friendly, nor fast. The food took a while to receive, and the table was dirty as well as the walls and ceilings. It needs a good cleaning. The pizza was good though. Our first sandwich came out wrong, but they did fix that.

Pretty good pizza. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, there was a noisy talk radio station playing and 3 TVs with the sound off when we arrived. Later, the staff got into a discussion about how septic systems worked that was, shall we say, not consistent with a pleasant eating experience. This discussion was followed up with a loud analysis of Democrats and Republicans in Chapel Hill. Again, not what we came for. Although I wanted to join in on the septic talk, I didn't...

The food was just really bad.The meat sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can and the gnocchi was way over-cooked. The Venetian pizza was super salty while the buffalo chicken pizza didn’t have that signature buffalo taste at all.Their other location came highly recommended so were really surprised. The staff was nice in the short interaction we had, just wasn’t enough to make up for spending $50 on a dinner that got mostly thrown out.

We stopped here before a concert and were blown away! Everything about this place was great - the pizza, the garlic knots, the chicken parm sandwich, and most of all the service! The people working here were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make recommendations when asked and make sure we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable dinner. I can definitely say we will be back soon!

I've ordered from Amante about every other month over the last 7 years, and the quality and service have slipped in that time period. Lately we've received incorrect orders, had small orders be significantly delayed, dealt with very subpar communication, and observed general confusion behind the counter.For my latest pickup order, the pizza was not made as written on the ticket, and the sub was not ready when I arrived. It took another 15 minutes in the store for the sub while the pizza got cold. Then the sub's bread was thin and had the texture of a rock. Four members of the team each had different information about the status and prognosis of the order, and finally one cheerfully said "it's worth the wait." Unfortunately I must disagree; waiting for a crunchy sub while my incorrect pizza got cold is not an experience I'd like to relive.

We had to feed a hungry soccer team plus parents and our original food plans did not go very well. I called Amantes and they came through big time for the team. The staff even helped he carry all those pizzas to the hotel.The pizza was one of the best I have had. Everyone was fed and grateful for Amantes fast and friendly service!!! They offer a vegan pizza that has eggs in the crust. They use the same dough as the regular pizzas for the vegan one. There's no point in charging 4 extra dollars if it's not even actually vegan. All of their food is bad idk how you mess up pizza but they some how did. Maybe it's because half the kitchen is underpaid high schoolers.Vegetarian options: They lie about the vegan pizza being vegan.

I come here for pizza quite often. It's my family's favorite pizza in the area. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because when they are very busy (like my recent visit on 8/27) the quality goes down noticeably.Pizza toppings and sauce were pretty good but the crust wasn't totally done cooking. It seemed like they had pulled it out of the oven a few minutes early.They also didn't seem to be very well organized when they were that busy. I'll probably avoid them on Friday nights for a while.
