Best toy story we have been to ever. Well except for the original FAO Schwarz toy store in NYC. But, the vibe at Ali's is better. The staff is great. They wrapped the toys we bought at no extra charge. And...their wrapping was better than what we usually get when we pay. And finally, their prices are the same if you can find the same thing at Amazon. This is a great place. Go there and you will come out with a smile, even if you don't buy anything.

Shopping for ideas for granddaughter who will be two. So many cute toys for kids of all ages. The best stuffed animals, games, puzzles and a few outfits.A little pricey but most are so unique. They have free gift wrapping which was really nice and the package was cute.Will definitely be back!

Toys are great!! Just took advantage of the gift wrapping and I was sorry!!! Looked like he used an old bag with a small ribbon taped to the corner!!! I will have to rewrap because I sure wouldnt want to give a gift looking like that!!!

I always check out toy stores everywhere I live or visit, and this is one of my favorites. They have a lot of awesome puzzles and stuffed animals, in particular, as well as some unique outdoor play items I haven’t seen anywhere else. The games selection is very good in terms of going beyond the classics, including one-person games. Unlike some local toy stores, they also have a lot of affordable toys— there is a huge range of prices so you could safely spend under $20.00 for a toy here, or get something more elaborate. They keep a lot of staff, who are very interested in helping you. I like to walk around here often.

I would recommend the store and merchandise, but on October 10th after my experience with staff I will never return unfortunately. I was looking forward to letting my 18 month old granddaughter pick out a new Jelicat stuffed animal and let her out of her stroller, since no one was around me to chose her favorite one when an employee walked up assisting customer and space was limited so I apologized for being in their way, picked up granddaughter and stepped to the side. The customer was friendly and obviously felt bad but the employee did not acknowledge me for 5 minutes which is a long time holding an impatient toddler in my arms who was actively trying to escape, all while the stroller didn’t fit in the aisle and I was trying to stay out of their way. The employee was focused on selling the product. The entire visit no one offered any help or even said welcome, all I received was glances as if I was stealing or attempting to steal. I watched staff help everyone but me. We left with one new Jelicat that my granddaughter loves and she’s thrilled about that and although I wanted to buy more that day, due to treatment by staff I didn’t purchase anything else and will not be returning.

I'll be very honest, they're the toy store that as I child I would daydream in and wish my single mom could afford toys from yet as an adult I buy every toy I need from. This is not Toy R Us or Dollar Tree, this is where you're going for high quality educational toys that you will not find other places for a fair price, especially considering local items that they offer.I have no kids but visit often as I can for their gemstones, geodes to bust open with friends, and anytime I'm going to a baby shower or visiting my God children.A niche but important thing for my friends and I that they sell is very small and affordable animal figurines which I have used many times in Dungeon and Dragons as well as treats from my job as they carry our job's mascot in them.If you want a cheap little gift to give somebody then they're not the place; but if you want a high quality gift that will last lots of love then they've got you

This is a wonderful place to buy toys and gifts! The merchandise is carefully selected and are all quality products. They have unique books to choose from, art supplies and craft kits, puzzles and games galore. This is not your typical big box toy store. It's small, but is packed with a great selection of products. If you want quality toys that ate built to last or Usborne books, or unique puzzles and games, this is the place to go!The prices are very reasonable. The workers are super nice AND they gift wrap for free. I highly recommend a visit.

Love this toy store. It reminds me of toy store from when I was a kid in the 90s. Lots of fun classic and new toys. Huge selection of up to date toys. We go at least once a month and there's always new trending toys and the prices are usually better than Amazon. Especially on the smaller cute stuff. Like the Nee Doh stuff. The prices are way better than anywhere online and they always have new stuff. Today we got a really awesome nee doh cube that is totally different than anything else they make. Its almost like gel inside and is so much fun to play with. They said it's a brand new product they just got. We love the staff!! They are very friendly and helpful. They always make us feel welcome and appreciated. They always ask if we need anything gift wrapped when we are checking out which is awesome and so helpful if you're there for a gift because you can grab it and go straight to a party and they wrap it up for you. It's just the best. It's the only toy store around and it's just awesome. Definitely a great place to go shop around with the kiddos or by yourself. Especially great if you like to shop locally and support local businesses. Also I need to add that they have stuff for newborns all the way to teens, even adults. Massive plushy and puppet selection. Tons of books and puzzles and cool rocks and art stuff. It's really got everything. The baby section will really surprise you because of how much adorable stuff they have. A big variety too. So you can really shop here for the whole fam.

I absolutely love this store!! It is a lot of fun for kids to come look around and pick out toys and a large variety of goodies. This is the first toy store I been to in a long time that reminds me of ones I would go to when I was a kid (90s). I even bought a cats cradle book from there. They have a little section of really beautiful Crystal's and polished rocks to buy. There were a nice selection of lego and duplo sets. Lots of plushies, crafts, even small figurines. Just a lot of good stuff that I felt was priced really well compared to other locally owned toy stores. I love bringing my daughter there. The staff was so nice and friendly. We cannot wait to go back :)

Awesome toy store, great seasonal rotation of new toys. They always have stocks of the hard to get items, custom orders are easy, and it's a fun place for kids to explore. Super nice staff. We drop in weekly to look around with our son.

Best store ever! So easy to miss. Inside the little mall in Carrboro, next to the entrance to Elmo's Cafe. I have a ton of friends with kids age infant to preteen and I always shopped online to avoid toy stores. I stopped here accidentally once and now go there for every birthday, holiday, etc. They have "educational toys" but don't let that fool you into thinking they are boring toys. Everything I've bought there has received better reviews from KIDS AND PARENTS than anything I bought on Amazon. They sell a child's size bow and arrow set that was developed and made by two kids who are saving their proceeds for college. My niece had a bow after she saw Brave but it fell apart quickly. We bought her this bow and it never leaves her site: she's learning real archery with kid safe and affordable equipment. They have alphabet blocks for more languages than just English. Their books and puzzles are fun and entertaining. There are science kits for all ages. And of course stuffed animals! Even though it is a locally owned small shop, you aren't going to pay more than you would at a big box store. I cannot recommend Ali Cat more!

Very cool little toy store with lots of unique hard-to-find items. Awesome board game selection including Settlers of Catan with lots of expansion sets, Ticket to Ride as well. Really nice section of science and nature toys including STEM kits/sets. It's like a Learning Express toy store on steroids with only high quality items.

There is nowhere better to buy gifts, books, toys, and treats for the young (and young at heart) in your life. My hats off to the owner and staff. I'm constantly looking for innovative and STEM inspired ways to get youngsters (my grandchildren) interested in science. Ali Cat Toys constantly provide a huge offering of toys to stimulate the mind. Plus, they seem to have survived the pandemic and kept the doors open. Well done!

I love the convenience of our neighborhood toy shop. It's a great place to pop in to pick up a birthday present on the fly. Their selection is marvellous and the staff are friendly and helpful. Free gift wrapping is a nice plus.

Ali Cat is a small toystore that makes up for its size with the quality and curated selection of awesome gifts. Definitely able to find something for all age ranges here. I really appreciate that it's a family friendly place, and they let kids test out the toys in the store.

I love Ali Cat Toys. They have such a diverse range of toys and books for all ages. Their prices are high, but they carry things that will last you a really long time. It is jam packed full of fun stuff and is the only local place I know of that carries Squishables. If you're in the market for an interesting/educational/ fun/squishy gift for yourself or others this is the place to find it.

Such a nice little toy shop. I would condsider it toys for children less than the age of 12 though.Alot of educational toys and trikets that will capture the imagination of a child and make them think too. The staff is great and very helpful and they do free gift wrapping as well.

Always go here for kid's birthday gifts. Great service and awesome toys. It can get a little pricey, but you will always be able to find something.
