this review is long overdue, as we are very pleased with the care we have received over the years for our dog at CBAH. making choices around pet care can be overwhelming, and Dr. Culpepper does an amazing job of educating on the big picture, outlining your options for care, while at the same time being extremely compassionate and understanding towards both our dog as well as ourselves as pet owners. she clearly cares for the animals she treats and goes above and beyond to make pets and their owners comfortable. most recently we got our dogs teeth cleaned and we really appreciated the time she took to give us an understanding of what we should expect leading up to the procedure as well as updates and follow ups post op! we would never take our loved pup anywhere else.

All the staff members are friendly. As a new client, I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The veterinarian is very knowledgeable and friendly. The added layer of a supportive herpetologist allowed me to ask questions I didn’t even know I had. The pricing is reasonable and budget-friendly. Highly recommend!

Everyone is genuine with love for the animals and great team of people working there, that make you feel like family. Defintely your go to vet, especially if you have exotic animals such as rabbits, where most vets don't have doctors qualified enough. We had to drive a hour and half just to find this one. We needed to have our dog seen and although we are just visiting the area, the staff was so helpful and professional. We got an appointment the same day. They took care of the problem, and the cost for service was very reasonable. We highly recommended Carolina Beach animal hospital.

We adopted a 6 week old kitten this week.Carolina Beach Animal Hospital could not have been anymore accommodating with getting us an appointment that very day. They new she was tiny and should be seen. The whole team there was welcoming and so knowledgeable. I felt so happy bringing my itty bitty fur baby there, and had piece of mind when I left we were in the best hands.

I write this, not angry, but truly compassionate to anyone who may come here in a trying time: this is certainly not the place to go if you're seeking quality, compassionate care. (And it isn't cost-effective, as vets are concerned, so it's not worth "dealing with the crusty" to save some money.) I've never met multiple people so eager, enthusiastic, excited, to push euthanasia. It was truly horrifying. Maybe just don't go at closing time when people may be rushed to head home? I know treating problems rather than ending them takes some time and effort that end-of-shift doesn't make convenient? ..... Idk.We are so unbelievably grateful that against recommendations we left and gave our baby another chance. Please do the same for your babies before going through what we and our baby went through. -(Would just like to add, these people have now contacted our family requesting that we remove this review because "people read them". I cannot in good conscience say anything other than what I've said below, and will leave this.)This practice also violated our privacy, which involved: obtaining information from another facility about our pet without our permission, or without their "need to know", and furthermore sharing it publicly. In human medicine, this is a violation of HIPAA and can result in serious consequences. Why is the standard of care less with animals? :(

I have all great things to say about the doctor and the staff. They are attentive and responsive. Doctor Culpepper is extremely knowledgeable and caring and ensures that I leave knowing exactly what I need to do in order to care for my bunny. Husbandry is one of her specialties and I'm glad I found her.

WE brought in our dog to Carolina Beach Animal Hospital with what we assumed was a potentially serious problem. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the Vet was very thorough in his assessment of the problem. Following his instructions our dog was much better after a few days. We are visiting for the winter in Carolina Beach and we feel fortunate to have foundCB Animal Hospital.

New to the area! I wasn’t a huge fan of our last vet office before we moved here. Yesterdays visit was amazing and I was so thankful you all were able to get in my dogs wellness visit/vaccines while also seeing him for a bad hotspot. Front desk ladies, vet tech and Dr were all so amazing and friendly. Yesterday’s visit was a breath of fresh air and I look forward to being a new client! Thank you!

So grateful for CBAH!! Our 3-month-old puppy became very sick on a Saturday morning. Not only were they able to find an appointment time for us, but they also allowed us to come early for a parking lot quick check to make sure it wasn't an emergency vet situation. Within the past 8 days, we have been there three times for fluids, bloodwork, follow ups, and med changes. I have also spoken to them on the phone 2 or 3 times, including when they called me to check on his progress. Each interaction with a staff has been friendly, reassuring, and helpful. They presented multiple treatment options varying in price and intensity. I also value how seriously they take the health and safety of all of their clients. Since our puppy had an unknown, but very contagious illness, they took us in a private entrance on his first visit and treated him from the car on our second visit. Although we were all very sweaty, I do like how they protected the other animals from this sickness and didn't take any chances on it spreading to others. Thank you CBAH!

We love everybody there, especially Dr. Culpepper. She has taken such good care of Brownie and some of the other cats we've had. She always has a smile and makes us feel that she truly loves Brownie. Brownie always makes it known that she is there by her very loud meows as we walk in the door. We would recommend Carolina Beach Animal Hospital to anyone.

All of the team members are amazing! Our new puppy was sick and we wanted to get him taken care of. They were all so informative and helpful with him. In the meantime, I passed out in the office, and all of the staff members were so helpful and kind - to myself, our puppy, and my husband. With a check-up they gave us tips on continuing to help our puppy, and reminded us to contact them if we need any help!

This is the best vet in all of Wilmington/ Carolina Beach. They get you in quick, are very friendly, kind & compassionate. They are extremely knowledgeable and they don't break the bank with unessary tests. I highly recommend them, I will never take my fur baby Arya to another clinic. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

I started going to CBAH 5 years ago when i got my maltese puppy we named max. The staff and doctors are very kind and polite. CBAH stays current with technology and that makes it easy for me to keep max getting the best services. We like the in house grooming services and the auto delivery of meds. The app for CBAH makes it simple to make appointments, order meds and keep track of reward points. The office is very clean and has a nice waiting area. We have used the CBAH boarding for max once. Its nice to have everything available through Carolina Beach Animal Hospital.

Our fur babies have been seeing Dr. Culpepper since we adopted them. She has always provided them with the best care and I could not recommend CBAH more!Monday my kitten threw up 25 times. The hospital was able to get her in ASAP. It was a scary week, but the hospital staff was kind, caring, and kept me in the loop about her progress. Our girl is finally home resting and recovering.
