So let me start by saying I have no desire to be in the Asheville metro, my trips there are not by choice. So that being said, I would really appreciate if the cashier would stay out of two customers conversation, and if you are going to butt in on a conversation, figure out that it's to conservative people talking and keep your sheepeople opinion to yourself. Otherwise the store was shocking nice inside.

Update Nov. 8, 2023: Bought these manager special Denver steaks yesterday, which had a sell by date of today. Three of us ate a little bit and decided they didn't taste right, so we threw all of it in the trash. We'll let you know if we get food poisoning. Goodbye Food Lion, we are done. It's a shame, because we have always liked the prices and the staff.________________________________This is Food Lion brand Munster cheese, which we bought this week, and which I just now opened, with a Best By date five months from now. Those light patches are green MOLD. Munster's not supposed to have green mold on it. We have been shopping at Food Lion for about 20 years, but throwing food away right out of the package is going to be the thing that makes us start shopping elsewhere. We tolerated the stocking situation, and we've tolerated the fact that we have to pass on most of their overripe and not ripe produce, and the London broil which isn't really London broil, and the dyed meat. But this is probably the end.

Cannot recommend this grocery store. Maybe I'm spoiled by self-checkout, but these lines can be very punishing. Often out of hot food. Folks seem to be sticking around the clock, never any store employees though. I feel sorry for the register folks, I hope you are paying them for all their trouble!

I wanted to send this review in regards to Tammy who cashed me out today. She is by far the best cashier I have probably ever had. She was kind and addressed me by name, she went after a customer for forgetting an item, she was a so friendly and really strived to make the customer happy! I have had a cashier roll his eyes at me before when I had a full cart and I refuse to use his line again. Tammy was a amazing! Great prices also! Always finding great deals!

Older than the newly remodeled Fairview store, and it's beginning to show. Asked for some Iceberg lettuce that wasn't brown, and the produce clerk disagreed with me. Fairview didn't have what I needed, so we had to shop here instead.

The manager there made my 40 year-old daughter cry , also the assistant manager and a cashier. All over healthy foods. Also they had some Sun Belle raspberries that my daughter found mold on, plus much more.

Cashier and stock girl were very helpful and kind. I forgot my card and they were so patient with me. I'm always pleased when I shop at Candler/Enka and Canton. You have great employees 😁

The somewhat recent remodel remains obvious with well ordered shelves and expanded choices. Fresh vegetables and meat departments are particularly good.

Loved it ! Even tho I had to drive further out it was better than WALMART !! SORRY NOT SORRY, ! better buys. Actually people with cashiers even tho may have been lines but no where compared to the line there. Still didn't have to wait long. So I'll be going further out. Great beef and meats. Colorful fresh produce Some good deals to be had. Lots of employees working hard to keep everything clean and stocked and moving along. A special shout out to the lady on her hands and knees scrubbing the entrance doors and thresholds

Honestly... this is only for the employees that work for this awful corporation. Try your absolute best to be nice to these folks that work here. Especially the cashiers. This place makes so much money and probably only pays them 13 an hour to do the work they do. Shouts out to you folks. You're getting robbed by a large business disguised as a small business/mom and pop.

I'm not gonna knock food line for being a little dated than its competition. But this store has been around most of my life in my area and it's always done me pretty good. Actually got my 1st job here. It lasted all of 3 days.....🤷‍♂️😏But going there on certain days you can grab great deals on meats and other products. I prefer it over Ingles.

I like foodlion. This location is being renovated. The staff is helpful and friendly.Renovation finished and they did a fine job. Still easy to navigate through the store.I notice a larger selection of items in their Asian, Spanish, and gluten free food sections. Nice

I shop here very often. I love the MVP rewards and perks! This location is great. Very friendly people working there every time I go. It's a very clean store and pretty good variety. So much better than Ingles where so many things are concerned. I'll continue this being my home store.

They remodeled several years ago, and I'm always impressed that they have kept the store clean and bright just like it looked after the facelift!
