My husband and I have been to a lot of pet stores in our lifetime. Even more recently due to starting three different fish tanks.On May 6th we made a trip from Fayetteville to Fort Wagg and were so impressed with every part of our visit.The staff was amazing, tofu actually went above and beyond to guide us in the right direction towards fish for our shrimp tank, plants for our new 15 gallon set up and medication for any future issues.The tanks here are so clean. Not a single dead fish, the reptiles look absolutely healthy and well-fed.The store layout is very quaint and beautiful. We picked up three autos and six plants and a bag of gravel and a bag of pebbles. Their selection of Driftwood was absolutely beautiful and we got three pieces of that .The prices were unbelievable, we've been driving to Raleigh to get our fish supplies. We now have a new local place to call home.Thank you so much to everyone at Fort Wagg, for providing these amazing products and wonderful service. The Lee's

I’ll start off with saying this place has been our favorite place for the past year to get our ball python (that we bought from Petco) a live rat. The place is always clean and tip top, never have had an issue with them until recently when we bought our boa. We bought our boa on Wednesday, was told he was fed on Monday and hasn’t digested it yet so we put him in his tank till he did on Friday. On Friday we pulled him out of his tank and I noticed a black dot on his face (I thought it was fuzz) , I picked it off, I rolled it in my fingers, it popped and blood appeared, during further examination it was determined he was infested with mites. We immediately boxed him back up and took him back up there. We were greeted by the younger male employee, the owner was in the back, we told him what was going on, he went to the back and explained it to him, they DID give us mite spray thankfully, (it was the only option the offered us) but the poor kid didn’t know very much and wasn’t very well educated on how to get rid of them, (we’ve never dealt with this so we had no idea how to treat this) and we were asking lots of questions and he just had no idea, the owner (who knows us very well, as we’re in there every week) never once approached us and addressed the issue his self which I found very upsetting. Mites are not something easy to get rid of and thankfully I seen that one. They could’ve spread to my bp very easily. We’re still treating him as I type this, after 6 washes and treatments he still has mites coming off of him. And while there the Banana python that’s on hold, was examined and determined he had mites as well. Like I said, this place is normally very clean and the people are normally very helpful, but we are more upset that the snakes there were not a properly examined before being sold, and having to deal with this issue. We’re just wanting to make sure no one else has to deal with this issue, we’ve definitely learned to make sure to check our snakes before purchasing.The photo below is a picture of his tank after 6 treatments, still battling it.

Easy to find and easy to park. I mainly come for the fish supplies. Dean is really nice and will help you out. Tanks are very clean and so is the store. Stop in and check them out. I would definitely recommend this store.

This store never ceases to amaze me. The staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable. It's wonderful to support a local, veteran owned business. Especially when they have better prices than the big box stores. I'm so thankful to have this store nearby for all my pet needs.They even have a great selection of fish and reptiles. When the time comes for my kiddos to get their Axolotls I will be getting everything we need from Fort Wagg!

I was in heaven to discover this place as someone who is into exotics and freshwater fish. They keep many of my favorite species of fish in stock, even when they are impossible to find in big box stores. They seem to really care about animals and are easy to work with and down to earth if you have any problems or questions. I love to pop in whenever I am in the area to see what is in stock.

Took my dog there for her first ever groom. Even though she was scared and a huge ***hole, they were great. Talked to the owner about dog food and got some good insight. When my dog was done, she came out smelling fresh and warmed up to her groomer. I know she’s a pain in the a**, so I’m happy that they took their time to give her the best experience possible even though she was scared. They gave me some good tips to get her ready for next time as well. 100% will be using them again.

Sadly I’ve used this company many times and thought they did an awesome job. I had to wait weeks to get an appointment for my dog only for them to tell me on the day I bring him in that there must be some confusion because they have nothing in their system for my appointment. Save yourself some time and find people who can efficiently make appointments and will make sure you’re taken care of. There are plenty of other people out here who will do a great job probably better. This company was so much better before they got popular.

I bring my 111 lbs Rottweiler here for a spa day, and she loves it. They take such great care of her. After our 2-3 weeks trips down to Florida, my girl deserves to be pampered. Fort Wagg Pet Store staff treat my girl like a queen. I highly recommend you give your dog a spa day here.

Was excited to use this business. The staff are friendly. After 3 visits though we won't be returning because of the harm to our dog. The first two times they cut the tip of her tail to the point it was almost chopping a bit off. The third visit they cut her nose so close it took part of the skin off to the point where she will have a scab maybe scar. For our dog's safety we can't return and won't recommend without warning.

Terrible experience. My sons 6th birthday was coming up… Friday I went in, expressed that my 6 year old wanted a tortoise but his birthday was Monday… the owner suggested that he would hold the tortoise until Monday for me. This was right before closing on Friday… Saturday morning I decided to take my boy to the pet shop and we’d just get the tortoise… we walked in excited, my boy walked out crying because he sold all three that were in there. I asked him, what happened? He says… i didn’t know how serious you were so they sold. WHAT?! I literally offered to pay to hold him also. The women inside said “how long did you expect him to hold them?”—- Bad business.Also he says, they will have more in on Tuesday. However on Wednesday… they do not. Another broken promise.

They've been really good about helping one of my dogs adjust who gets really anxious about wash time. The staff have been a pleasure to work with, they take the time to give courtesy calls and are informative about your pets needs while they're in their care. I also enjoy seeing the fun little embellishments they put on my pups when I come pick them up. Our family really appreciates this place for our dogs!

We love Fort Wagg! I’ve been using them for my dog since they’ve opened. I am now taking my new puppy as well and am very pleased. They offer basic plus many nice “add on” services. It is great to know my babies are well taken care of and will look great when I pick them up. Best area groomers for sure.

I get everything, even my coffee from here now. Dog food? Check. Fish and aquarium supplies? Check. Crickets for the tarantula? Check. Dean even ordered a specific fish I wanted to come in and buy, which I thought was really cool. His tanks are always immaculate and everyone is friendly. I really like the rewards program they have as well. Overall this is definitely my favorite pet store and will be for as long as they’re open! I love this place! I usually go once a week. It's such a convenient location and my dog loves the variety of treats. I love that I can get my dog unique things like duck hearts and chicken feet. These high value treats are perfect for training, they keep my dogs attention longer than the cheap generic dog treats. After discovering this place I am one happy dog Mama and my fur baby can be spoiled without emptying my wallet.

Fort Wagg is an amazing little shop! They have everything for your furry family members and the not furry members. A wide variety of very healthy salt water fish, fresh water fish, reptiles, and some smaller mammals. You are always greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member. 10/10; I am returning customer.

We were on the hunt for a aquarium for my daughter that had to have small holes in the lid so a rope fish couldn't escape. They were unbelievably helpful. They even got a tank down and opened the box to check for our daughter. They were friendly and beyond helpful. We definitely found our new go to for everything pet related!

I love taking my Dogue here! They always do a great job and it’s a good price. I was surprised how clean they got my pups ears, I didn’t even know they were that dirty. They are all super friendly and have always been able to squeeze us in for a bath. We love coming here.
