The store was cute and had a good toy selection for smaller children especially, candy selection was good too. I am not happy, however, with having paid around $12 for 3 truffles out of the display case and all of them being inedible. There is a distinct old, musty smell and taste to the candies and if I remember correctly there was a sign saying candy sales were final, so they can’t be exchanged for other candies or anything - I have essentially just donated the money to the toy store. Poor experience in that regard.

Great selection but high prices, even for a local/small business. We have a toy store back home with similar selection and prices aren't nearly this high. Candy selection was great, still pricey but happy to support this over a larger chain. My wife bought three of the small chocolates up front for $13 only to find that all three taste like the store smells, which is not a positive. They're inedible. I would full-on avoid those. They aren't made locally either, so it's nothing special you're skipping. Give the store a brief tour, make a purchase to keep this place afloat but overall the atmosphere and pricing has me pretty disappointed.

Love this Toy Store. My daughter will always pick out a toy and we picked up 3 1000 pieces puzzles this year. Very glad this is here!

"This is the best thing EVER!!!" - A yearly visitor. We come here every year; the chocolate is phenomenal with a great selection. The children love that they have candy by the pound that you can mix and match. The puzzles are great, we do one or two every summer. This is an essential part of our trip to the outer banks.

This is one of the greatest local toy shops I have ever been too. Such a cool eclectic place with toys for the young and so many board games and puzzles at good prices. Bought some of the best chocolate creams I have ever had there.

I have a 16-year-old, so we're a little past the stage of buying a lot of toys. That said, we decided to go for a walk one morning on our recent vacation, and visited here for a little while. We both thoroughly enjoy going to toy stores, and this one is one of the better ones we've visited. Great little spot, with a much wider variety than you'd expect based on the size of the retail space. There's a lot of really fun stuff here, and the jigsaw puzzles were an area of particular interest for us. We'll be back.

This is a cute store loaded with so much! Adorable toys, self serve candy and books. Grabbed some fun souvenirs for our grandson and reasonably priced as well. Glad that we stopped.

The store has an excellent variety of toys, etc. However, the person working wasn't very friendly at all. Also, after purchasing a BIG bag of JellyBelly jellybeans we went to another store just a few miles away and realized they were $4 per pound cheaper. What a rip off!

The toy store was good for a rainy day. We were really excited to bring our three year old. When we returned home after making our purchases we realized the jelly beans had expired in 2017 (they were actually older than our toddler) and the bean boozled candy we bought expired in 2019. It was very disappointing. At least he was still happy with his Melissa and Doug ferry boat.

The store is great. So many options for a range of ages. Went two days in a row, the first with my 14 month old. She had a blast and the cashier was very friendly. The next day I brought my 17 year old that had an equally enjoyable time. We got a variety of candy including delectable truffles. After standing at the cash register for a couple minutes the heavy set brunette sitting 2 feet away that didn't acknowledge its the entire time still didn't offer to help. We had to ask her to please help us. She made the experience less than satisfying.

Don't let the appearance from the road fool you. Fantastic little shop. Old-school. No electronics - just a nice selection of proper toys (no beach games) for those rainy days on vacation. The selection of Thomas and John Deere toys is very impressive, topped only by the puzzle selection. Sweets (Jelly Belly beans and chocolates in the case) are a bonus too. Really well done and like so many stores down here, owner is tremendously nice as well.

Cute little toy store in a purple house! Prices were reasonable and they had a varied selection of toys, games, books, dress up outfits, art supplies, puzzles, etc. A great place to stop and let your kids pick something out as there were items in different price ranges.

This place is AMAZING! They have everything you would expect from a toy store and then some. Finding a place just like this for kids on the island was a nice surprise and one that we definitely enjoyed. The woman working there was very helpful and so nice! We will definitely be back on our next trip out here.

Great store with a nice variety of toys, games and candy. Great selection of Thomas wooden train (quality new old-stock), and some Brio and Chuggington trains. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The candy was mostly sold out along the one wall, and what was there looked old..... The chocolate in the cases were exceptional! The toys were all a bit pricey.
