I went in to have a muzzle device removed so I could also have Maverick’s put a new handguard on my 556 and not only did they do a wonderful fast job but my gun came out perfect and they couldn’t have been nicer. They had quite a few guns in the shop before me and still I didn’t even have to wait 24 hours. They are very professional and honestly I can’t say enough good things. Anything firearm related I recommend Mavericks Gun Works 1000%. Next I’ll be getting them to do a cerokote job. Very nice shop with up to date machines for proper gunsmith work. Thanks Keith!Just so you know the work I had done cost me 52$. You can’t beat it!

Stopped by today to have a PU scope attached to my 91/30 Mosin. The owner is super nice and went through the mounting process with me in great detail. Really cool, small-town gun shop but I’d say gunsmithing is probably what it is known for. Happy to support a small business and excited to see the finished product.

I brought an FN Browning Hi Power in for a trigger job. When I picked up the gun the owner proceeded to tell me how hard it was to work on this gun and he needed his son’s help to get the new trigger in. He was irritated at the fact it took so much effort and he showed it. He then told me I should buy a new one, his irritation was palpable. This is your job, owner. You are a gunsmith, allegedly. He charged me a lot, which I would not have minded paying,, but his juvenile attitude at having to do the work of his profession was too much for me. Do not waste you time here, they want to work on easy peesy gun jobs and charge an arm and a leg. He told me it was his first Browning Hi Power job.

On my way up to the mountains I reached out to Ricky at Maverick Gunworks to inquire about the availability of a pistol. Ricky responded same day. While I was told Maverick’s was known for their gunsmith, I was happy to see the selection of magazines and ammo. I was greeted and welcomed in the store which made this out of towner feel welcomed. While I was in there checking out, another customer brought in a revolver that was older and not firing properly. They were able to figure out the issue within minutes. Will definitely swing back through and I hear they might move a little further north on 119 to a new facility. Can’t wait to check it out.

I have been in here a few times. The first time was to drop off one of my firearms for a fail-to-feed issue. The very nice woman at the shop listened patiently and took verbose notes of the issue, and thanked me for having such good detail of the problem. Less than 3 days later, I was called and the gun was finished. He said in addition to working on the FTF issue, he also made some adjustments to the trigger. It's been running much better ever since!The next time I went in, I had asked about a few different firearms, which he did not have on hand, and told me what his price would be once he got them -- they were very competitive, even competitive against some of the "big box" gun shops. In the end, I did buy a Mossberg that he had in the store that day. It was a great price.He also had some specialty ammo that is tough to come by, and had it cheaper than some of the places on-line! When I want to pick something up, I will definitely check in here first from now on.

I took my AR15 to maverick for a grip I tried to do myself. It was about two days later they called me and said it was ready. The price for the repair was reasonable and the work was done right. I got to shoot my AR for the first time and had no trouble with my grip. I will definitely go back for any service I need.

Ricky has done work on two guns for me and I was very pleased (& some people say I am hard to please). Update: Ricky sold me a very nice new gun at a great price - A price like online but truly less as there was no shipping or ffl.Update: If I could put another star I would. Ricky helped me with great advice on my first AR build.

These guys are great, they're very nice and welcoming. They put together a USP.45 for me and they even allowed me to test shoot it to confirm that it works properly. All the work they do is also reasonably priced as well.

I have had nothing but great service from Ricky and his staff at the shop. I have bought used guns here and all were in good shape. They are quite happy to to do FFL transfers at a reasonable price. They do great trigger work -- now my wife can actually shoot her Tomcat with accuracy and Ricky (owner/gunsmith) transformed my "beater" S&W into my favorite pistol with some ultrasonic cleaning and some careful polishing of the internals.If you are shopping here, the friendly staff is far more interested on giving you their honest advice than "selling" you on the features of a random gun. They are actually focused on repeat business, and are smart enough to try make sure the customer walks out with something they like, instead of pushing the latest high margin wondergun at volume.The only two "problems," 1) now I don't really consider guns "up to 100%" until they go have a visit with Ricky, 2) there are way too many temptations to buy a new or used firearm at the lowest prices I have seen in the area. But those are awesome "problems" to have.

The work was GREAT!!! I had wanted night sights for my off-Duty weapon and the owner gave good advice.NOW THE BAD NEWS: The sights he recommended cost $40 more in store and I asked how much it would cost to have them put on. He told me $50. I told him about the sights being less on Amazon, giving him a chance to suggest a better price, but he said that was the MSRP which was fine. He added no comment about labor costing more if I did not purchase the sights from him. I brought the sights by and he got them set the same day. HOWEVER, when I was paying $50, I was told that it is now $60. I told him he had said $50, and the owner smiled and said that was when you were going to buy from me.The work had already been completed. So, I paid the extra. I will never purchase anything there. I will not have any other work done there again. I am in a profession where honesty and integrity are everything. If you want an extra $10 as a jab because I shop for good prices, then you have lost a customer. He also knew my profession and still cheated me.

Excellent customer service!!! I was greeted as soon as I walked into the location. I had questions about a particular gun and they were extremely knowledgeable on answering those questions, gave helpful suggestions, and fully explain pros and cons of each gun. Purchased gun and walked out as a happy customer. I will return in the future for my next purchase!!!!

First, anyone reading this please ignore any bad reviews. Barely any!! I went in only looking for ammo as they were packing to move. I had some questions about some other materials and all of their merchandise was in boxes packed away. They started going thru boxes and unpacking just to satisfy a customer after I insisted they didn't have to. Very nice people and eager to please their customers. Best customer service I've had in a very long time!!!

I handle all my firearms needs through here. Ricky and his wife are an amazing team. He holds a ccp class every once and a while and my wife has completed that and is awaiting her permit from the fbi. They do everything from finding/ordering what you want to gunsmithing. Great service and you feel like family when you go there.
