Very tasty, huge pancakes! The prices are fantastic. We ordered 2 pancakes ( 1 would have fed the 2 of us) and grits, then a combination plate with an egg, thick fried baloney, hash browns and biscuit, with two coffees all four $13! We will definitely be back. I think the only thing that we didn't like, and it was not a big issue, was the wait for the food. It was about 30 minutes. Now, when we sat down, so did about 4 other tables. This may have been a one-off thing, but either way, we will go back.

We recently moved to Spring Hope and we are always looking for a good place to eat that Isn’t a chain . This place is fabulous. It’s small it has about 13 or 14 tables and it stayed busy for dinner . Apparently they have steaks every Friday , which looked delicious. I hear restauranttheir breakfasts are great too. Service was great even with how busy they were. Food was fresh and good . We will be back .

Terrible service. Came in before noon to grab a quick lunch. Only one table was seated, already served, not busy at all. Sat down, a few staff looked over but kept talking to each other and doing what they were doing. Waited a bit, another group of 4 or five walked in and sat down, waitress grabbed some silverware and went to take their drink order. Walked out and no one said a word to me the entire time. I try to support local but not here...

The Farmer's Kitchen was a quaint little country style cooking restaurant that we ran into while visiting an antique shop. The staff was real friendly and prompt with their greeting. The food was some tasty country home style cooking that did deserved the setting of the buffalo plaid/checkered tablecloth it was served on.We both finished our plates and I'd give the nod of approval to anyone thinking to try it out. I'd definitely go back again.

We chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner at The Farmer's Kitchen this past Thursday. We chose to have 0just immediate family because we knew the restaurant was small. This place was BUSY!! It was 6 o'clock on a Thursday and they were slammed packed. We were able to find two booths back to back and packed in there. The servers were great. Food took a while to get, but it all came out together, which was nice. Excellent food.

The Name Says It AllHome cooking just like it should be. When you combine traditional southern farm fare with southern hospitality, you end up with an enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful and the servers are friendly and prompt. I particularly liked the chicken salad. Make sure to check the daily specials board for the current goodies.

Discovered this adorable cafe in Main St in Bunn, being one of the few restaurants in the town. The BEST so far!! They have a little of everything, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, cheesesteaks, soup, and some of the best southern, comfort food like fried pork chops, steak & gravy, real mashed potatoes & homemade desserts. Clearly a locals favorite, with daily specials, it has indoor seating, restrooms for patrons, country cute decor and true southern hospitality & fast service. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner with the family. Closes at 2 pm on Sundays. Free lot and street parking and all wheelchair accessible

This is a little place on Main Street. If you blink, you'll miss it. It's a nondescript little building with red doors. When we entered through those charming red doors we were greeted by a friendly server and were told to sit where we pleased. The place isn't that big. Perhaps a dozen tables. We sat in the back corner. The building in old and has a certain charm of its own. I got the Big Cowboy Angus Burger with onion rings. The wife got the Baby Angus Burger also with rings. Dont let the word "Baby" fool you. At Farmers, "Baby" refers to a 4oz Burger. The Cowboy version of the burger has onion tangles and BBQ sauce. The burgers were quite good. The onion rings were out of this world. I'd go back just for the rings. We had a great meal at a very reasonable price. The staff there was super friendly. We got a good feeling as soon as we walked in. Will definitely be back.Update 05-17-22: Have been back several times since my original post. We'll keep.going back. The chow, portions, and price are still on point.Update 6/21/23: This was our first trip back in some time. The place is now under new ownership but the food is still super and prices are good. I got the open faced roast beef with mac n cheese and cucumber salad. I could have drank the cucumber salad juice. It was phenomenal. The roast beef and mac n cheese were solid performers. Wife got the fried chicken/bacon/cheese/ranch fries. They were super. Daughter got the fried chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. That was a big sandwich. Overall, a fine meal at a great price with super service. We won't be long between visits.Update 11/29/23: Chow is still good. Service is super. Prices are grand. Only change from last visit is that the wife got the open face roast beef and I went with the meatloaf. What a nice size hunk of loaf it was. Could not have been happier.Update 1/31/24: Went back for a visit. Got the same meals as my last update. Still good food at good pricesUpdate 4/17/24: had the same meal and great experience as my last 2 updates

Food is the only semi decent thing I could say about this place. And my server was very kind. I wanted breakfast yesterday morning and despite it saying open at 6 it opened over an hour late. The cooks had horrid attitudes and were ugly to the wait staff as well. I also noticed people doing food prep with NO gloves for ready to eat food. I’d had decent experiences before this but after seeing the cooks attitude, having to wait, and the food was just mediocre this time? I will never be back. Nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. I heard several months ago there was a change of ownership and it shows. This place desperately needs new ownership/management. Don’t waste your time. Check out McCleans in Zebulon for dinner and Sisters Cafe for breakfast! Much better establishments!

Very good food. Nice southern atmosphere as it should be. The service was ok but I do not want to hurt thier reviews and we got a good amount of food. Over all, I give a 4.8 out of 5 stars. Good job The Farmer’s Kitchen.Kid-friendliness: They were very nice to my child. Did not mind at all.

I ordered the Reuben. It was not good. Very skimpy. Meat was brown. We wanted breakfast but missed it by 10 minutes. There a lot of flies. It's not very inviting. Staff seemed too busy to care you were even there. Bathroom's weren't very clean and not stocked with paper towels. Our server forgot to give us napkins and never returned to our table after giving us our food so we had to actually stand in the checkout line to even get napkins. One woman was working the register and was taking her time stapling receipts from earlier that morning I assume, as there was just one person in front of me, he was an older gentleman and trying to be patient. He just wanted to pay but we all had to wait while she did whatever it was she was doing. And then after waiting a few minutes, she looks over at the line cook he was sitting on a chair next to the counter. We had no idea he was looking to be serviced and apparently, he was more important than the customers in front of her. He then tells her no, no, take care of them. She refuses him.and says tried to take his order again. He tells her again to take care of the customer first. She smiles in defeat and then takes care.ofnthe older gentleman. He would like to lay and go. Transaction took nothing but a minute if that. Then it was my turn, I asked.for.some napkins, she gave them to me and I sat back down. Then she continued on with the employee. When we finished, we checked out. Food was very inexpensive. We paid $24 for 3 people. We have a nice tip and went on our way. I will not return.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a western omelette, hash browns, and crispy bacon. Quaint, friendly, clean, and delicious! Oh, and affordable. A great value.

This small town has the best diner in the whole state of NC. I go here every time I visit the state. The waitress was very nice and had great conversation. She made us feel at home. Great comfort food.
