I can’t speak more highly of this company. When calling in to speak with someone was never an issue, scheduling, questions, concerns, everything was addressed as well as any concerns. When both young men arrived they wasted no time competing the task at hand and were kind enough to answer questions I had on future maintenance to make sure my unit runs efficiently. I would highly recommend the company to anyone, as a matter of fact I already have. Thank you again for a pleasant experience.

Update May 2019: Turns out the unit referenced below was WAY too small for the size of the house. We had Alford fix it and they were absolutely amazing to work with. Every single person we came in contact with was very nice. The fix was a huge undertaking for Alford but they always came in on time and were very professional at every single turn. I will recommend these guys time and time again. Please note the pictures were in progress pictures and they cleaned everything up, as seen in the last picture of the gorgeous new unit :)Original September 2018: We had Alford come to look at a bad HVAC unit before purchasing a house. They were very nice folks to work with and identified the problem in an efficient time. Cost was less than expected.

Came as a recommendation but very disappointed. The technicians who came out to inspect the unit were nice and helpful, but the office staff was not. They were aware we were without heat with nighttime temperatures being in the 20s and never sent the quote for a replacement unit so we could get the work done.

Called to have an HVAC service done. This was the first service we've gotten as we're new to the area. I called and the person I spoke to was super. I called on a Thursday, she got us set up for a Tuesday service. On Tuesday, the technician Sam and his trainee arrived around 830. They called before arriving. They were super also. We got our system all checked out and things looked good. Alford was still offering their spring cleaning special so it cost $105 with tax. I'll be calling Alford next year for sure.

They installed AC and heat Tran had to put ducts and vents in house was old and needed all the work, had to have the electric done first before they could do the work Craig from C&S Electric was the electrician,when they went to put the unit in found we had a issue with the old electric panel being in the way called electrician up he came right over fixed the problem right away so Alford workers could finish doing their job of installing,They all worked together very well ,very professional and resolved the problem at hand. Great job and love coming into the house now and being comfortable also find I can breath better. This team put in a new tankless hot water heater, ran the drop for my new gas stove and put two studs out on my patio so I could use the remainder of my propane for my grill and fire pit. Last year I paid over $1800 in filling propane tanks for heat and hot water. Over the last few months, I have paid ~$30 a month for Natural gas. If you have propane, natural gas is the way to go and call Alford Mechanical. Jason and his team know what they are doing. Our air conditioning quit working on a weekend, not that there’s ever a good time for it to quit working- but I was worried that it would be impossible to fix until Monday at some point.However, I called Alford Mechanical and left a message. Someone called me back promptly and arrived at my house 30 minutes later.The technician quickly identified the problem, told me how much it was going to cost, and finished within an hour.I was extremely pleased with both the quickness and the overall level of customer service.

I called at 730 on a day when they weren't even open for business. Mr. Alford was at my door within an hour and quickly determined what the problem was. Unfortunately they didn't have the part needed on the truck, but they were able to cross reference the part and located it in their warehouse. I had my heat going before lunch. Simply amazing service and great people to deal with. 6 stars out of 5.

These folks have been in my home and worked on my AC. I called to schedule service on the upstairs unit, since it is not keeping up. They never showed up or called during the appointment. When I called to reschedule I was accused of having "an attitude". I was never curt or disrespectful in any way. Avoid, and be kind to each other.Service: A/C system maintenance

Great experience!Called Friday, technician (Brandon & Oscar) were out within an hr, sales person (Lance) later the same day. Quote by Monday (best price- $3000 less than Carolina Air who also wanted you to hurry up and sign contract before leaving!) Best customer service (Allison) whenever I called! Installed one day by Thursday!With a 9 month old and warm days and night here, they were able to spare my husband and I from some sleepless nights!Thank you to entire team!!

I would like to thank Alford Mechanical for having such polite and efficient employees..I would also like to thank Sam and Oscar for being so polite and efficient,they introduced themselves and got right to the issue at hand.Our ac began making a squealing noise and they had it up and running in about an hour,also cleaned the unit outside.The temperature outside these last couple weeks has been in the upper 90's,I definitely don't want to be without AC...Thanks again guys!Service: A/C system repair

I needed a new hvac unit. I received quotes from three companies. The "masters" of the hvac world have nothing on Alford Mechanical. Good people all the way around. Outstanding customer service from start to finish. If you are considering an hvac or hvac repair Call Alford first.Update: I revised my score to 3 stars after needing three repairs on this unit in less than 2 years. Admin folks can be a little hard to deal with and one lady even got an attitude when my wife was asking a simple question.

Called to say I had a leak in the pan under evaporator coil, the sent a tech out, said my drain line was plugged, he vacuumed it out, said I was set, looked at the A/C unit with the light on his phone, said no problems, charged me $100 for 15 minutes work, I checked the leak as he backed out the driveway, still leaking, I called the office back, they got ahold of him, came back, now he tells me evaporator coil pan cracked, says I need a new one, took all the numbers, went back to office, office calls me, says the found one, $175, I said get it, they come out the next day without calling, or telling me they got part, well the pan they got was 3 times bigger than the pan I needed, in the meantime, they put aluminum tape, and silicone on the pan trying to keep it from leaking, did not work, by now there are 3 repairman in my house, I asked them to get me prices on what the whole evaporator coil and pan would be, they took pictures, wrote down numbers, said they would take it to office, get prices, call me back, well I've never heard back from them, went with another company, getting a whole new system from them, I will never use or recommend Alford for anything, they apparently don't give a damn.
