This was a cute little store that had a little bit of everything - we found what we needed and then some. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and nice. My only complaint was that we bought some canned soup since we were staying in a cabin 30+ minutes up the mountain, and the next day went to cook it and found it had been expired well over a full year. I opened one anyway just to see and it was quite gross. So just check the expiration date of anything you buy. Otherwise great little stop.

For a roadside convenience store, they have a pretty good and varied selection of products. They can be a bit pricey but they know that they are one of the only options in the immediate area. I heard they have really good breakfast biscuit sandwiches in the morning but I didn't get a chance to try one.

A handy general store that’s functionally the only grocery store for miles. You can find a little bit of everything here except alcohol. It’s a better resupply point for hikers on the Appalachian Trail than the general store at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and close to nearby cabins and campgrounds.

A good place to resupply for the AT - 1 mile from the NOC and the trail, walkable even with your pack. Closest place to get tobacco products to the NOC if you didn't kick your habits when you left Amicola Falls.

To their credit, they did have organic milk, though no nut milk options. They had coffee including espresso grind from Cafe Bustelo and some Folgers options. Pretty good selection for a small shop but I needed a few different things they didn't have so continued on to Ingles.
