Was given an estimatedprice of 800$ for my yorkie with a tummy ache. I had her take off the x-rays because i didnt think she needed that.That made the price 600$. You have to pay up front before they will do any kind of examination but I was told I will get a refund.Yes I got a refund of 5$ how convenient for them. This is a total rip off Vet clinic.They also did an oral exam which wasn't even discussed..You deal with the receptionist the whole time . I have had dogs all my life an this is the worst place I have ever been in.I am going to dispute the charges with my credit card bank an write my experience in the Smoky Mountain time's an so on.I hate being taken advantage of.

We took our cat to the Bryson City Vet Clinic for his yearly physical and shots. The staff was very friendly and had no problems administering the vaccinations which was wonderful because our cat was not happy about being there. We would definitely recommend!

We are in Bryson City for the summer and the dogs needed some vaccines to stay overnight at a boarder…. The staff here were amazing… patient, knowledgeable…. Because of covid we couldn’t go in and meet the vet but they were very communicative in person and over the phone… our old gal was also treated for a UTI…. Very caring staff… will take our pups again if needed. Thank you BC Vet Hospital!!

I have a pit he is nothing but an 88# baby his name is cody. Cody is very much a part of my family. He gets all his shots and treatments at B.C.V . Cody goes just about everywhere I go, but if i can't take him with me i can trust Bryson city vet to care for him why i am away . They are a very friendly staff. I am very picky who I trust with my best friend, And I'm confident in posting this and saying I strongly believe in the Bryson city vet and there staff

I am sorry but I truly believe they raise prices on purpose. It's ridiculous. Wanted 800-1,000 to give my dog, a few stitches. I chose to take my dog somewhere else (Noah's ark) and it was only $450 for her stitches, a shot of antibiotic and medicine that was brought home with her. (she was sedated too)And the vet I took her to also worked her in rather quickly and I was told at Bryson vet to just drop her off and they would get to her when they could which could be after 5:00 and if it was after 5:00 that added $150 on.

The staff was amazing! My kitty Irbie needed some serious attention and the wonderful veterinarian took her time and was kind and gentle. The young lady at the front and the technician were warm and welcoming! I'll never change!

I just got off the phone why Bryson City vet. I was greeted with "can you hold please" and before I could even say anything I was placed on hold. I already had a bad taste in my mouth. After a few minutes on hold the person answering the phone finally got back to me and I asked about getting my dog spayed. She started asking the normal questions, which I replied the best I could. I knew my dogs weight within 10 lbs but she insisted on me knowing the exact weight. Finally, after repeating the dogs weight range a few times, she gave me a couple of prices and that they had a few programs available. I asked what kind of programs and she replied that she "already explained the programs" and continued to explain the weight system again. I interrupted her, saying I understand the dogs weight determines the price, in which she finally started explaining the low cost programs (which was what I was asking about). I love my dog and do not feel comfortable with this person having anything to do with her. If she doesn't have any sort of patience for me, why would I expect anything different for my dog. The veterinarian that saw my dog previously at Bryson City Vet was amazing and did a wonderful job, but I fear that is the only person who shows any patience or compassion for this job. If BC vet is reading this, first impressions go a long way and something as simple as waiting for someone to reply when asked to be placed on hold can be the difference between feeling dismissed and feeling like your time matters, I'm just dealing with something right this second. In this case, the first impression was accurate

I would highly highly recommend this place!! Had an emergency with my cat and landed with them and the quality from start to finish was phenomenal!! So if you have an emergency, hit them up. They help in anyway they can!!!

The people here are wonderful and have cared for my dog since adoption. Have taken him in without appointments for nails clipped. They carry his food or get it by the next day if they ran out. When I have questions by phone, I get called back right away with answers if they have to ask the Doc. But most of all, my dog is not fearful of them. They give him lots of love!

Dr. Gambill and crew is always above and beyond with both my parents dogs and my own. My dog personally loves the visit and cant wait to get out of the car. Each assistant handles our babies with so much care and love. I highly recommend this business for all your animal needs.

I never had to board my dog until about 1 1/2 years ago (work trips) - these folks are GREAT!! Our dog is never scared to go to the vet and they love him and treat him so well while he is staying there. Thanks for taking care of our Rascal!

Dr. Gambill and staff are great! Our dog Luna was well cared for during her overnight boarding. Shelly is terrific with all of the pets boarded. Dr Gambill was very caring and professional when treating Luna after a surprise injury happened while we were camping. The office seems to be very busy at times but everyone on staff is great and handles the busy times with smiles for the pets and owners.

I had a bit of a boarding emergency for my dog while on vacation. The folks... all of them ... were wonderful and they just took great care of my pet. Got a kitten who was feral they got me in with a drop off appt next day an the drop off was quick an easy they call with estimate an then called me a couple hrs later to let me know she was ready to pick up they explained everything to me that was done an all test results very friendly staff an very good with all their four legged customers I will go back an they are now my veterinarian

During our October visit to Bryson City, the staff demonstrated such kindness and compassion when our beloved 20 year old cat suffered multiple seizures that resulted in his needing to be euthanized. I am eternally grateful for their offering nothing short of gentleness and respect for us and for our sweet cat.

Best vet and staff around.My wife and I have 2 schnauzers and 2 cats and they love Dr. Gamble and everyone at the BCVC.One Schnauzer just had a tumor taken from his leg and we were terrified it might be cancer...Dr.G and staff were very compassionate with us and our dog.We have lived in BC all our lives and have seen vets come and go over the years....we too liked Dr. mike and staff but we also love our new vet.I've been looking over the bad reviews on their web. and come to a conclusion after reading their post...1st their not local year in and year out #Transplants and 2nd They post negative about everyone.We have been to vets in Asheville area and if you want to pay what they charge than have at it...for us we will stay at BCV.

Bryson City Veterinary Hosp. is wonderful. The staff is friendly and compassionate. Dr. Gambill is an experienced and caring doctor. She looks at every patient as an individual and takes the time to focus on each of their needs. My animals are my children and I trust Dr. Gambill with their care. I highly recommend this full service practice.

Dr. Gambill and the staff at Bryson City Vet are awesome! We have 2 dogs and a cat and Dr. Gambill takes care of all of them. The staff is caring and friendly. One of our dogs had an unusual condition that required surgery and specialized care. Dr. Gambill kept us informed every step of the way. The office is clean and pet friendly. I recommend Bryson City Vet to anyone who has pets.

Great staff with wonderful, caring vets. You can really build a relationship with your pet's doctor here. It isn't great for emergencies, however. You're best served with appointments.

Horrible experience. I felt that Dr. Gamble was highly unkind and unprofessional to me. Anyone who truly loves their pet, hates when they’re sick, and I feel that vets should show immense compassion, always. I personally did not feel any compassion from that particular vet. However, the first female veterinarian I dealt with here was much nicer.This was a year ago and it still infuriates me. If you’re having a true emergency, I personally do not recommend this vet office. She’ll probably threaten to sue me over this review too. So, everything in this review is MY opinion.EDIT: You, Dr. Gambill called me saying ‘Good news, it doesn’t look like a bowel obstruction’. I came two days, and he received x rays. I paid $450, so was that a donation to your hospital or was it for diagnostic tests? My dog NEARLY DIED FROM A BOWEL OBSTRUCTION. If you knew that’s what it was then please explain to me when I denied that surgery? I took him to Waynesville where he was treated for a bowel obstruction and received emergency surgery, and then had to be put in the ICU at Asheville because he had deteriorated so badly. So if I turned down your ‘DX’ of a bowel obstruction, why did I end up paying a grand total of 3000$ to get him fixed elsewhere? And then, when we called to inform you, you HUNG UP on me and my mother. And then, months later, you call me while I’m on bedrest pregnant and threaten to sue me over a google review. Let me just make this abundantly clear to anyone who cares enough to read this, which I doubt, go and read the Yellow Page review regarding Dr. Gambill by ‘Noah’. That is the most accurate review I’ve ever read. Also, I will be reporting you to the North Carolina Veterinarian Medical Board. And after reading all of the other negative reviews about you, I’m sure that will back my credibility.

Dr. Amanda Buchannan-Gambrill is an accomplished veterinarian who cares for her patients as though they were her own pets. She has neutered all my billy goats (she makes farm calls!) and cares for the entire herd. She has lovingly eased my beloved 15 year old labrador over the rainbow bridge and did it at my home because that is where my dog was most comfortable. She found a home for a stray dog that I rescued but could not keep for myself. I live at least half a hour from her practice, but it is worth the drive for my pets to receive the quality care she provides. I am quite finicky about the care my animals receive and Dr. Amanda has exceeded my expectations.

Visiting BC from Chicago and our diabetic Schnoodle, Riley, began showing signs of distress. They got us in this morning and did a very thorough exam of Riley. The entire staff was so great with Riley and two anxious moms. Dr. McGannon is fantastic!
