This is by far the worst Dollar General I have had the misfortune to walked into. One star is definitely too much for this store. I will allowed the picture to talk for themselves! Dollar General corporate please check on your stores in Brown Summit, NC and Pleasant Garden, NC!

Showroom floor has stuff piled everywhere. Nothing is in the correct spot. Things are damaged and left on shelves. Roll-tainers are scattered through the store blocking some aisles. Cashier sits outside the majority of the time smoking a cigarette (older lady). Salads are brown in the freezers. Drinks are not that cold.

Just a basic dollar general but there is alot of clutter on the floor. Some of the freezers where broke and covered in melted ice cream. It's very obvious that the employees here don't love or take pride in their job.

Closed half of the time I go there on random days. Hard to navigate the aisles most of the time because there's always unstocked product piled up. They "renovated" and have a grocery section but half of the time the freezers/refrigerators are out with an "out of order" sign so I wouldn't trust the food. I'd rather drive the extra 3 minutes to the one across from lowes foods. Much cleaner and nicer!

Needs a zero star option. **Police Intervention*** On today 05/21/2023 I experienced racism and harassment from a Dollar General employee named Kathleen. I know this behavior continues in today's society, but I have never experienced such egregious behavior. I was harassed and yelled at repeatedly while shopping then accused of theft and when I asked for a refund on something I didn't receive the door was slammed in my face. The disrespectful manner in which this employee handled customers is by far the most unacceptable thing I have ever seen. I was humiliated in front of other customers and my 15-month-old witnessed his mother being yelled at and accused without just cause. We waited in the heat for hours after I contacted the authorities due to the manner in which your employee lost control. I have never stolen anything in my life and to be degraded in such a manner is irrefutably unacceptable. Onlookers stated this individual is repeatedly rude to customers and closes the store anytime she wants mid-day. I feel targeted and will be seeking legal counsel. To have an employee with such malice towards customers of color, what does this say about Dollar General as a company? Do you value "every customer"? Is Dollar General taking customers' concerns seriously? I have shopped at DG for 30-plus years and have never been treated in such a manner. Customer satisfaction and retention should be at the forefront of what you do but it seems as if the employees who wear the face of the company have a much different agenda.

The guy working stock always smells like weed, and the prices are shady for example if something says on the price sticker its one dollar it says more than that at the register. Shady place Shady management, dirty dusty food shelves, dirty floors, spilt liquid on the floor all the time nobody cleaning it up, parking lot filthy with trash, the list goes on and on. I like the new dollar general in Reidsville near washburns lake I dont mind driving farther away for a better shopping experience.

They need to just close this place......they never have anything, they are hardly ever open....and there's one 3 mi away.... And if I'm going 3 miles up the street, I'm going across from the new DG and going to Lowes to buy real food stuff's.....not your garbage.....it's no longer a convenience when the store a mile away is never open when there supposed to be.....such a shame.....4 years ago they had a great staff.....maybe DG should treat there employees better and they won't have staffing problems

This is by far the worst Dollar General I have ever been to! Unfortunately, this is the only one to my house from work. They just went thru a total remodel and went in there today 6:30pm on 8/4 and this place looks just like it did prior to the remodel! The employees there are too busy outside on the phone or sitting in the office that not only did I have to use self checkout, but to find my shampoo, I had to move carts full of stock out of the way. This place needs a whole new staff of folks who will actually work. The ones here now are useless and earning a paycheck.

This dollar general is in my community and it is absolutely horrible!! It’s sad to see Christmas stuff out, that you can’t even get to, from all the carts full of inventory that’s never going to get stocked. Almost every time I go by there the employees are outside smoking cigarettes and could care less about getting this store stocked and cleaned up. It’s sad to see it go down hill in the past year as it’s our go to since we live just a few minutes from it. Needs new management and new workers! Please get this store cleaned up and clean out the workers that are just there to earn a buck and not care about the appearance of the store. Also.. leaving frozen/cold food out on the carts and not being stored properly is disgusting, considering how hard it is to find certain freezer and cold foods at this time. I only Hope it was disposed of and not sold as it will make people sick!

The staff there doesn't care. They have empty shelves with carts full of items to be stocked but wont stock the shelves. The workers there are lazy and the manager is not doing a good job. They also always act like they dont want to help you. I've had to wait before over 5 minutes for them to come out of the office area and stop playing on their phones. Today is the last time Ill ever go as they arent open due to short staffed. Worst dollar General Ive been to

This use to be a nice store stocked and organized, but over the years the store has been in decline. This DG seems to be out of stock of basic thigs like milk, sugar, even orange juice, and now who knows if they are going to be open or what there hours are going to be so I stopped going there and now just go to Lowes

Literally read the last review with the 16+ plus pictures, i’ve lived out here in Brown Summit for a year & this DG is terrible! Every time I go in, you can’t even get though the aisles…. & it’s been out of stock of certain items months, shelves looked the same since the spring… & they close on random days & at random times… it’s been close the last 2 days! there’s another dollar general 15 mins away & it’s twice as big & everything is neat & stocked, even has a home section so :))

I love this store. It was where I went 6 years ago at a different location in TX and it provided me and my kids first Christmas on our own and it was magic. I'll never forget it. The manager here takes pride in her store and took the time to answer my questions with a smile.

This store has poor management. There is always trash, stock, and piles on the floor. Shelves are disorganized and messy. Although it is convenient, it is not my first choice. I think they could do a much better job of keeping such a newer store up.

Never open. They put a sign on the door for whole days at a time and one time they closed because there was a coke truck there. Makes no sense to be closed so much.. might as well just close down because this store cant be making money.

This POS is literally always closed. They have signs now that say temporary hours 8-5 PM. This is written on yellow construction paper. The last time I came by it said that they were not open today since no one would come in… someone wrote that on a piece of paper so……. I was with another lady and even she was like what the heck as this was in the middle of the day on Wednesday. It’s ridiculous. I honestly do not understand how this facility operates.

I went there last night to grab a few things and was blown away by the Customer Service I received. The staff was super helpful with helping me get the things I needed. The young man working in the aisles was amazing and very friendly. Great job Team DG in Brown Summit!

The workers are very rude as soon as you turn your back and the store is always trashed for some reason. A bunch of times they don’t put stuff out and leave boxes laying around and the Isles are always messed up. The manager is also very rude!! I am a manager and i know that the way she runs things is very wrong, I have heard her talk to the employees like they are stupid and incompetent. I asked her about a job one time because of a bow hiring sign and she was so rude that I wouldn’t let anyone I know work there. Just tonight I only saw one employee in his uniform and the manager was in some pj’s. How unprofessional could someone be when they are tasked with running a intire facility. I thing dollar general made a huge mistake putting her into a position of power and responsibility.

Always closing whenever they please. Never answers their phone. I went there at 5 and they locked the door as customers were walking up even though they’re supposed to be open until 10pm. They also always “claim” their system is down on weekends so they can close in the afternoon.

This poor store can't catch up with it's incoming stock and they never have milk anymore. I hope corporate helps out. Pay some good people to run the place. It's a busy little store. Would hate to loose it.

This is one of the best Dollar Generals in town. Always stocked. The store is well kept and modern. The clerk's are very friendly and helpful. Nice clean store as well m

My fav....I can find almost anything I need at the last minute. Employees extremely helpful. Stayed with me one night after closing because the keys got locked in the car I was in. They waited until AAA arrived to make sure I was safe.

Buyer beware, items in a section marked on sale may not be. Everything you buy is more expensive than the local grocery store. Very disorganized and confusing. Some of the staff dont really care either. Check everything as they are ringing them up.

Not the best dollar General by far, go through to many people staff wise. Always have rude staff in there and can never find respectful staff. Right at 10 pm if you are in the middle of a transaction or if you were already ringing up one order and wanted to do another order a separate 2nd transaction, then they will it ring up the second transaction. Because they said the big boss said nothing can be done at the register after 10 pm, even if you are in the middle of a transaction. Witch I think is very crazy. I could understand if someone wanted to be rung up and it was after 10 pm. But if you were already at the register and did two separate transactions, then I think that is very wrong of them to tell you that they can not ring up anything else.
