My spouse and I love this shop and the owners are lovely people. We visited from out of town and they made us feel so welcome! We will definitely be back

Mr. Reynolds was very kind and his shop is beautiful. My husband and I purchased two rings on 6/1/2022 and that was also our 31st wedding anniversary. He kindly gave me the beautiful butterfly hand towel that I was also going to purchase as an anniversary gift. The previous remarks regarding him following customers around, I understand because he has a lot of small items that could be "lifted" easily, however, we did not feel intruded on at all. As far as, the complaint of children; I understand that one as well, this store is packed with beautiful china and expensive glassware. I have raised four boys, children can be bulls in glass houses if left unattended or interested in picking things up. If you want elegance, here's your store! Thank you Mr. Reynolds for a wonderful experience!

For anyone wishing to do business with these folks, let me tell you about my recent experience with them. I called and spoke to both John and his wife, explaining that my husband and I were in town dealing with my parents’ estate. My mother had both expensive, old glassware and everyday decorative glass and I was looking for someone to help me figure out what kind of prices I should be looking for when we had a sale at the house, as I knew nothing about what glassware was going for now. They both said he could help me with this and asked if any of it was for sale. I told them, yes, because I was hoping not to have to wrap up and take it back home to sell. When he got here he walked around a bit, both upstairs and down. He told me he couldn’t help me price any of it because it was all too new. I could have pointed out a good dozen pieces in one room alone that I knew to be at least four generations old. He did, however, pick out some of what he called “pretty little pieces” that he would like to buy. When I asked him what he would offer for them he said he “bought pieces, he didn’t make offers”. I told him I was sorry he wasted his time, but I held my tongue and thought what an unscrupulous businessman he was. He offered to come and help, but he really came in to take advantage of a person who didn’t know pricing. That may be how he makes his money, but taking advantage of people is not a nice way to do it.

went in to browse & see if i could find any treasures. as soon as i walked in the proprietor walked up to me, asked if i was looking for anything specific & what i collected. what he said was fine, but his tone & body language was very unfriendly. i could tell he was judging me as a possible thief.i ignored him & quietly walked around the store looking at the beautiful inventory. i could feel the man intently watching me from a few feet away. i did my best to ignore him, but it was very unnerving when i was browsing a glass showcase & his sudden appearance behind the glass startled me (he had been there silently watching me like a creep)! i tried being friendly and compliment his shop's beautiful selection, but he misheard me say 'collection' and in a rude, condescending tone said "it wasn't a collection, it was store inventory" and rudly dismissed me when i corrected him with what i said.i quietly browsed the rest of the store on my way out. he moved to the room i was browsing & generally ignored me. even leaning over & covering a jewelry case i was trying to look at. he was more interested in watching his rerun of downton abbey & treating me like an unwanted pest rather than a possible customer.the inventory in the store is very beautiful: lots of antique & vintage fine china, glassware, silverware, linens, art & jewelry. but, the prices are incredibly high, the shelves are densely packed and with narrow walkways (not very wheelchair accessible).it was incredibly nerve-wracking to browse with a creepy old man staring at me along the with the thought of accidentally bumping into a shelf & breaking an overpriced antique teacup.i would not recommend shopping here.

I also experienced the owner standing two feet behind me as I browsed the store, and I did not have a kid with me. Asked me if I needed help the second I entered the store and what I collected. I will ask questions if I need help and I don't want to be quizzed by anyone about what I collect. She then followed me, literally two feet behind me around the store. I definitely would have purchased several things but not when I'm being made to feel like a thief. I cannot for the life of me understand why people do this. I have literally been in thousands of antique stores over the years, and have never had this happen. Owners of antique or thrift stores know people come in to browse and look for treasures. Leave people alone to do that. I left my coat and purse in the car, so there is no way she could have thought I was a thief. If she is that concerned about theft, put in a camera system.

Loved this little shop! It is truly a Transylvania County hidden gem. There is an amazing variety of items here and the owners have back stories as to the histories of many of the items. They have everything you could possibly ever want or dream of. Words can't do it justice..you need to visit and see for yourself. As for me? Well, I plan on returning many more times

Left due to being breathed down our necks because we had a kid with us. We had the child under complete control and go antiquing with the child often. It was very rude.

I only give the four stars because they refuse to deal in primitives or tools. Plenty of higher end items though.

Not an antique shop. It's a dinner ware/ glass ware shop. Really cramped, barely enough room to squeeze down the aisles, and everything was breakable!
