Absolutely amazing experience with Reid! As an athlete who trains 20+ hours a week, a proper bike fit is crucial for staying comfortable during those long hours. Reid takes the time to carefully evaluate your situation and to make sure you are 100% comfortable with every adjustment made. Reid is a very knowledgeable bike fitter with great experience under his belt. Not only does he offer an outstanding bike fitting session, he also has a wide variety of saddles and other bike fit related equipment to make sure you leave his session ready to rip! My bike fit experience with Reid was extraordinary. I went to see him primarily because I was experiencing lower back pain on and off the bike and my doctor recommended a professional bike fit. I had a fit on my Supercaliber mountain bike.Reid is extremely knowledable and very detailed and thorough. The system he uses allows for a high degree of accuracy and helps him identify potential issues that could be causing pain, imbalance, less power, etc. Combined with his knowledge as an elite bike rider himself he was able to really give me meaningful feedback and ideas of making me more comfortable and efficient on the bike. My back pain has decreased tremendously. I could also tell him about skill challenges I was having and he was able to suggest mechanical changes that helped me improve my riding. This was a remarkable experience and I highly recommend him.

I was fit today by Reid for a new Specialized Aethos bike that was right out of the box. It was a great experience. I left the bike shop after 4 hours and never felt pressured during the fitting experience. We covered all of the minor details in making road cycling fun. Reid is engaging and is interested in transferring his bicycle knowledge to you the client.

Reid did a really good job with my bike fit. He was able to diagnose and fix some problems that were affecting my riding. Reid also has an extensive inventory of different sized saddles and stems to get the perfect fit. I will be back in a few weeks to get my other bike fitted!

Talk about optimizing your position on the bike! Reid provides an extremely comprehensive bike fit, and takes all the factors into account. Not to mention, he provides recommendations and same-day solutions for ways to enhance your position on the bike, whether the goal is to ride in a more optimal position for racing, for overall comfort, or to correct imbalances due to body position. I go back to Reid every time I'm on a new bike, and sometimes to make sure everything is good to go before the next racing season!

I was having back problems with my current bike fit and couldn't get it right, and I needed a professional to help me make the proper adjustments. Reid's Retul bike fit was extensive and while it focused on the areas I needed help with the most, he covered pretty much everything that might affect my ride quality and pedaling efficiency. I was a little skeptical with getting a bike fit after spending a few years doing my own thing with minimal problems, but after spending some time getting fit by Reid, I think I should have done this a long time ago! My new position and saddle make it much more comfortable to put out power efficiently, and now I have a baseline for the future if positioning issues might arise.

Reid fit me earlier this year on my road bike. It has been about 9 months, and I absolutely love the fit. Honestly, probably the most comfortable and efficient I have ever been on the bike.Reached back out again to get fitted on my new gravel bike. The process was so smooth. Nagging shin pain & to a lesser extent knee pain were sources of frustration since I’d have to slow to let the pain subside & would get dropped. Friends had fits by Reid so knew it was my turn.Reid asks that you complete a pre-fit assessment a week or so before the fit that detailed bike specs, cycling history & any areas of pain. He made changes to my cleats, stem & handlebars & position of my seat. He showed me & explained the above differences on the computer. He gave me homework to get a new stem & to ride with less intensity & duration for a few weeks to allow my body to adjust. After about 2 hours I was done. He even throws in a post fit follow-up!I’m still working on my homework, but literally my first two rides after the fit were night & day compared to pre-fit rides. I set a PR on a gravel section that’s always been a slog!!I can’t say enough how easy it was to work with Reid and how laidback, yet professional he isas well. Definitely the best money I’ve spent on myself to improve my cycling. Gift yourself & go see Reid!

What an incredible experience with Fit by Reid. Coach Reid is a Zen master of bike fits. I had my fit 2 days ago and have been riding hard and long in Western North Carolina. I have put up my best power numbers in 10 years and that is saying a lot for a 70 year old guy. Coach Reid starts with a professional interview and diagnostic process of physical assessment and proceeds to the view of your position on the bike, pedal mechanics, shoe and cleat fitting. His suggestions and fixes were spot on. I had been suffering with right knee and hip discomfort for 2 years and day one of riding after the fit it was gone! I am more comfortable riding and with a better engagement of my right side putting up PR numbers . If anyone wants to improve their riding and enjoyment of riding a Fit by Reid is a must.

Reid was awesome. Suggested by Motion Makers where I bought my bike and was well worth every penny. I had been fitted 20 years ago, but as life changes I figured it would be good to update the fit. What a bike fit should be!Cannot recommend highly enough.I traveled two and half hours because of a recommendation I received in my home town of Knoxville TN and I was not disappointed,After a failed bike attempt with another fitter pre-pandemic, Reid completely renewed my faith in the bike industry’s ability to service its customers with care and professionalism.His knowledge was top notch and his willingness to share that knowledge in a clear manner as I asked question after question really impressed me.He is an extremely nice guy, but most importantly I no longer feel like the next time I go out for a ride I will be in pain.Thanks Reid!If I had to do it over again I would drive another two and half hours.

Over the past 20 years, I have had many bike fits. Some fitters were better than others. I can say without hesitation that Reid has been the best by far. Prompt communications. He doesn't just slap you on the bike. He first obtains a very thorough and complete picture of your experience, your future goals, and physical evaluation through observation of mobility, dexterity, and q&a. He took time to explain every step and answer all of my questions. He gave me 100% of his attention, and we kept at it until we got it right. He researched product suggestions and provided links. He followed up with a written report, video, and further suggestions. I am already planning a second fit when I upgrade my bike for Ironman next year. If your goal is to get comfortable and make more power on the bike let Reid help you!I’ve been lucky to have Reid help me with the fit on my Road and Cyclocross bikes with amazing results and am planning on doing the mountain bike ASAP!! It’s also very helpful that he has ridden and raced all types of bikes, so he understands the specific demands of each and how to achieve the best fit.He is very thorough and covers everything that can impact your fit while also educating you. I’m very comfortable on both bikes now and could ride for hours now with no thought about any pain anywhere. I also feel more balanced and can steer(drive) the bike more accurately in cyclocross races where slippery off camber hills come into play. I’ve been fit by several others over the years but there’s no comparison to the results with Reid!

Don't put it off for three years and ~21,000 miles like I did. This was an excellent experience! Reid got me set up with two pairs of shoes, adjusted the saddle position, shortened the stem and adjusted the handlebar and brifter positions.A few hundred miles post-fit and everything is excellent! Reid took a gravel bike that I was positive was sold to me too small, and made it fit and feel like a dream. This is my third bike fit (three different bikes) and it’s been worth the drive to beautiful Brevard every time.One thing that I really enjoy is that he talks to you in such a way you forget you’re being filmed and you just fall into your natural riding position which is so important when you want a true fit.
