The Crown is a beautiful restaurant to eat at. I enjoyed it very much. As a vegetarian myself, I can say that they had great options that exclude meat, while still having steak and pork meals for meat-lovers out there. I will definitely be visiting again. They also light a fire once it gets dark, which is a very calming and family-friendly experience.

Excellent hand crafted cocktails! I can’t remember the name of the salad, but it had delicious strawberry vinaigrette! The meatballs were some of the best I’ve ever had at high end Italian restaurants! And to top the dinner I had the deconstructed tiramisu, it was delicious! I had 2 had cocktails, salad and entree along with tip my bill totaled $70. Not bad for the quality of food and service I received! Will definitely be back!

When I found out I had celiac disease, it was a huge adjustment. As I'm sure anyone with food allergies/sensitivities knows, something like this can feel very isolating.I was so happy to discover there was a completely gluten-free celiac safe restaurant barely 30 minutes away and made plans to come for brunch on my birthday, 2 months post diagnosis and the first restaurant I'd risked since because even cross contamination can leave me sick for a week or more.It was such a relief to be able to go out like a normal person and The Crown was incredible. The food was fantastic - I had the Appalachian Benedict and my husband got the Parker's BLT. Everything was delicious, well seasoned and the presentation was lovely. This is definitely my new go-to for any time I want to eat out. Granted, I don't have a lot of options, but man I really lucked out having this restaurant so nearby.

Great time tonight. We arrived early, so we spent some time talking to the chickens and the goats. $5 draft beers on Thursday nights, so a drink at the bar before dinner. The brussel sprout app was amazing, a more than generous portion. Duck & Halibut entrees were nicely prepared. Finished it off with a white chocolate and limoncello cheesecake. We will be back to dine outside this summer.

Most excellent Farm to Table Restaurant! This is a true hidden gem in adorable Brasstown, NC. The entire menu is gluten-free, (a first for me) and, as is true for most farm to table restaurants, changes seasonally. Our waitress, Rose, was attentive and happy to answer all of our questions about both the menu as well as some local sights and histories. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. All of the spaces inside and out were very clean. The small garden and barnyard area are both on site and very well kept. We loved seeing where some of our food came from and briefly visiting with the goats that provided our cheese and the chickens that produce the eggs.We definitely plan on returning in the future!

This place is a culinary delight! We brought friends for this last visit and everyone's food was delicious and expertly crafted with fresh, local ingredients. The same can be said for our previous visit. We're looking forward to many happy returns! I dinged the service by 1 star, because it was a little slow. Our server was fantastic, she was simply over-sat with the unexpected influx of people.

We were in the Murphy & Brasstown area for a wedding, and our Airbnb host heavily recommended The Crown. Really glad we went, because this place is a real gem in the area. The Crown has a great location on top of a hill with views looking over the river and part of the folk art school in Brasstown. They take advantage of the views with lots of patio seating. We were there for brunch, so got an Appalachian Benedict and the French Omelet. Everything seems sourced locally and has most of your brunch standards - waffles, huevos rancheros, brunch drinks, and small plates. Our food was delicious — the mushrooms with the French omelet were exactly what I wanted. Well-seasoned and earthy, with a side salad that balanced it all. The Benedict wasn’t as great - super dense biscuit with the Hollandaise bright and unbroken but a little flavorless and weird with some spice (nutmeg?). Staff were all great, service was quick, and again the views can’t be beat. Always great to see such a quality place in a small town, we’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in the area.

Stopped in after a week of teaching at the Folk School. It was perfection. Only had the gluten free samosas and the gluten free focaccia- both were absolutely incredible. Wonderful drinks. Beautiful bar. Already planning to come back for the full experience. Jake, the bartender, is a treasure of stories and craft cocktails. Very recommended.

The Crown is aptly named. It's a crown of a restaurant. Amazing food, service and views. We visited for our anniversary this weekend while visiting the area and honestly we couldn't have enjoyed it more. We were greeted by the hostess who wished us a happy anniversary and seated us at a lovely table we reserved on the deck. I highly recommend it for the views of the mountains. Our server, Blakely, was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and a joy. Our cocktails were delicious and we started with a charcuterie board which was very tasty. Our main courses were the pork chop and salmon. They were both excellent. Our visit to The Crown made our anniversary very special and we won't hesitate to visit again.

Went full plant based this evening for an anniversary dinner complete with a lovely framed note of happy anniversary sentiment waiting at our assigned booth. Lovely server. She was so pleasant and helpful. Brussels always great … heaping pile! Fries are a staple. Pakora was bountiful and chutney I craved more. Couple of wonderful non alcoholic “mocktails” … another great combo of flavor profile and ambience. But the kicker was the added bonus of vegan desert tonight … chocolate cherry bomb. Black cherry ice cream on top of a frozen brownie covered in a thick layer of chocolate and all frozen again topped with a raspberry jam. Great dairy free option, thank you!

Now I've eaten at a lot of places but this is by far my favorite ever, ever, ever. The drinks, the food, the service, the views! I could not recommend this place more. We ordered everything on their brunch menu and it was all perfection. Dana D was the loveliest server. So friendly and timely. Derek was the chef while we were here and I can't come up with enough good words. Drive out of the way to come here y'all.

We sat outside at the picnic table and enjoyed a wonderful view, mild temperatures and fantastic food when we visited on a Friday evening in late August. Our meal began with flavorful vegetable fritters and included a fresh tasty salad, refreshing gazpacho soup and delicious stuffed trout with cistry sauted vegetables. I also had a top notch Old Fashioned cocktail. I have had some great meals out and I put The Crown on the list as one of the best. A memorable experience for sure.

This was a pleasant surprise to find so close to where we live. Both indoor and outdoor seating at this hilltop restaurant give wonderful views of the mountains and the John C. Campbell folk school nearby. The menu was certainly eclectic with gluten free and vegan options. I would guess that 98% of the restaurants in the area would not have the exotic offerings as The Crown. Our menu was labeled Spring 2021, implying a continual chance to experience new taste sensations. The food presentation was artful and top notch. I had Vegetable Curry with Chicken (a first for me) and I found it quite enjoyable. We will be returning here often.5/19/22 updateEverything is incredible. Mixed textures, exotic food items, artistic presentations, gourmet combinations. If you're just looking for a meat and potatoes, fill your belly kind of place, there are other restaurants in the area that can do that. Eating here is not just a meal, it's an EXPERIENCE!You won't get stuffed here, but expect to be sumptuously satiated.

Have been waiting a long time to get back to this place. Definitely did not disappoint. Unique and fresh locally sourced ingredients combine to create distinctive flavors both sweet and savory. From appetizer to entree you are in for a fantastic culinary experience while set atop a hill with a beautiful view of the mountains and overlooking John Campbell Folk School and Brasstown Creek. Creative architecture and surroundings, friendly people, and great service complete the whole experience. So worth the short scenic drive to visit this top notch restaurant and canteen.

How a restaurant of this quality got here is a mystery. We stopped for brunch and dinner on different days while studying at the local school. Biscuits with sausage gravy for brunch and steak for dinner. So succulent, tender and flavorful. We were just 2 so we sat inside but many larger parties and those with children sat outside so the kids could run around on the grounds. There was a cool craft fair next door when we had dinner on friday. All the food is gluten free as well. There is music on Thursdays.

What an amazing hidden gem! The food, service and atmosphere were impeccable. We drove from Blairsville and it will most definitely be an ongoing tradition to visit. Rose the manager, Andrea our waitress and Jake the bartender made our experience one to remember. My husband and I truly had a spectacular evening.Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is GLUTEN FREE!!

The Crown had been on my list of stops since opening and finally was able to book as last part of our Chattanooga trip last week. The restaurant is about 2 hours from Chattanooga, Charlotte, Atlsnta, Asheville and well worth the drive!! The Crown is EXCELLENT! We enjoyed the fresh trout, meatballs and an array of local items on charcuterie plate. The flavor profiles on each dish flowed so very well. The chefs gluten free bread exemolified perfection. There were two dessert offerings, so I ordered both. The Chantilly cream with fresh berries with bee pollen was like walked thru a field picking honeysuckle with such delicate sweet flavors. The chocolate Mousse with pistachios and sea salt was equally as perfect. This hidden jewel in the NC mountains should not be missed or understated. Chef Conrad has refined the classical cuisine to regional, fresh pairings while overlooking the mountain sunsets. Congratulations Chef and continued success to you, The Crown, staff and owners. Everyone should make this a destination culinary experience.

We keep returning and are never disappointed. Tonight we missed making a reservation so we sat at the bar to eat. The drinks and food were fabulous, but we highly recommend the samosas, brussel sprouts, salmon with cannabis infused drinks! Wow! Jake the bartender was a star mixologist. We were celebrating a 61 year young Birthday like no other. We are looking forward to returning in February.Vegetarian options: The green curry rice and chicken with vegetables are my favorite. The Indian spices in this dish are off the chain.

Best brussel sprouts anywhere, so glad it's on the spring menu again. The meatballs were delish as was the charcuterie plate. Finished off dinner with a chocolate mousse topped with sea salt and chopped pistachios.Love going to this restaurant

We've been to the Crown twice on successive Saturdays for their brunch. Both times were amazing. The first time we at at a high-top table with server Heather. I got the French omelet, he got the eggs on beans (forget what it was called). Delicious! Service was so good. The second time we sat at the bar and shared the charcuterie. So much food and so amazing! I cannot say enough good things about the place. There were yummy relishes, meats, and veggies with an airy crusty bread. The bar manager came around for a chat, I think his name was Jake (could be wrong). So knowledgeable and inventive.

The Crown is a true gem in Brasstown North Carolina. Absolutely exquisite dining experience. We have become regulars for dinner and Sunday brunch. The menu continually changes offering broad and very creative choices. The Sunday brunch is a must try. It is like nothing else in the area. The staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The interior spaces are very well appointed and comfortable. Definitely seek out this gem in Brasstown. B.
