Nice quiet and rustic place with nice amenities. Lots to do, including free kayaking, put put golf, hiking, yard games, and nice clubhouse. No pool or spa yet but coming by 5/24. They are currently renovating rooms, so you might get something new or more antiquated. The help is fantastic. The only missing star is the old stained carpet and bruised up furniture, and also because they tore out the old clubhouse and pool years ago and haven't got the job done. However, these should be taken care of when they finish the upgrades next spring.

Today, I stopped by to purchase a gun for the start of turkey season next week. With this, I also bought a year long hunting and fishing pass. I encountered some really cool employees that were happy to help. One was even very happy with the new found sport that I’ve been intrigued by. He was a team member that was a coach of the group. He was really cool. He was a younger guy, that was bald, and his name was chase. Then you had another guy who was also a coach whose name was chase. This guy was cool at first, and even seemed really happy to help. Then, when he thought I wasn’t listening decided to make fun and make very rude comments about the customers such as me and my wife. Then, when he had thought I hadn’t heard him, he began to be two faced. Chase- the bald one tried to get the other chase to repeat himself but I guess he was so much of a coward he couldn’t repeat himself. Honestly, the bald chase is soooo cool but the other one needs to be chased away from his position. Not only was this unprofessional, but very cowardly. I guess he forgot if it wasn’t for the customers he wouldn’t have a paycheck. I spent a lot of money there, when I really could have went to a gun store and gave them my money, instead. You need someone like the bald chase to cover that other chases position. I can make it to spruce pine, elizabethon, or Johnson city Walmart in about the same time I can make it to Boone location. Honestly, I liked Boone better but after tonight- I think I’ll take my services somewhere else. But, also thank you to the bald chase, and the young man that was soooo nice. I appreciate it more then you know.

I Love it. Walmart is simply the Best shop one could ever dream to shop at. Nearly everything in one place under one roof. Big room for the store and no congestion at tills because they have many auto cash machines. Great place indeed.

So, I go to this Walmart in particular several times a year and almost every single time I witness and experience judgment and discrimination by the door. I will see many people walking out of the store never being stopped to look at the receipt but the door people will stop certain ones especially if they are black ! To check their receipts. But let plenty of white people walk through as well, I saw a family being stopped and harassed them the door lady saw they paid for their items but but was so confrontational with them that I was embarrassed for them. Even though she saw they had paid for all of their items. This to me is discrimination because their clothes aren't spectacular. And I've seen more than this particular incident. Worst store of Walmart I've ever witnessed ever. Due to the door people picking and choosing people to harass and embarrass at their own will.

The most employees the store very kind and helpful though on more than one occasion I have walked in to the store manager yelling at them on the floor I believe his name is Josh Daniels he seems very unprofessional and can't be bothered to stop and help I ran into this on more than one occasion on the last occasion he was particularly rude to an employee attempting to help a customer right in front of the customer not cool

Was giving them 3 stars but not anymore, when we have something delivered to us, we don't want to find the box in terrible condition and the contents in the box broken!! This Walmart supercenter is okay. They "usually" have everything you need. Really crowded most of the time. It's a Walmart...... Really disappointed in the online ordering, shipping, and pickup department though. Ordered a garden tiller online, had it shipped to store, it was three days late and the box was tore up and taped back together. Maybe because it was heavy but still no excuse for that when you pay over $300 for something.. Most of the time I have a great online ordering experience from Walmart but not this time...

Me and my colleagues have an inside joke where we buy anyone of them among us guys for fun. I have repeatedly and consistently found numerous different among us themed items in this store and I will continue going here to buy them.Our little gaggle of pals love the store, we go there to buy anything even remotely "sus" even if the reciprocation from others would make us seem "a little sus" all around great dining experience if you'd call it that, I love among us and can't wait for more amongusses to be added to this chain.

*UPDATED* Absolutely love this Walmart! Customer service is phenomenal! Caroline, Conner, Sheb, Logan (all of them, they have quite a few here, lol) & many other employees have gone above & beyond to help me; and I'm deeply grateful. Their grocery pick-up has been a God-send since COVID19 & I use this service often.In addition, they have great black Friday sales & a different selection of items than the one closer to home. The employee's have always been friendly, helpful and easy to find. Even the other customer's seem friendlier than I've observed at other locations & even they have been very helpful when it comes to locating certain areas or items.The only thing I think they could improve is either moving to another location, still within this area, where they could have a larger store or somehow enlarging this one. They have a ton of merchandise & not enough room to display it all properly but they do a great job with the space they do have. I highly recommend this location.

Just like every walmart in America but it's also clean. Chase is a wonderful manager and helpful. The greeter guys at the door are super friendly. Only thing needed done is replace the card reader at self check out. It's a pain and messes up a lot. They are busy but the check out is faster than most!

I've always assumed that Walmart is a place that desires to be a part of the community in which they are located. I have lived in numerous cities and have heard of Walmarts in Knoxville, Marietta and other locations allowing campers to stay overnight in their parking lots, giving permission for boy scouts and girl scouts to do fundraising, and other "community-centric" activities. So, when my family needed to sell a vehicle, we assumed that parking it in the Walmart parking lot in a location far from the building where it could be seen and potentially sold would also be considered a way that Walmart supports the greater community. We have actually done this about three times in the five years we have lived here in Boone, but this time was much different.We left a vehicle in a remote parking place, and when I returned in the afternoon to meet a potential buyer, the vehicle was gone! I eventually went in to the Walmart to ask if they knew where the vehicle might be. The floor manager, after hearing about my situation, actually apologized for the inconvenience! She told me that in the last six months, some new company had taken over the parking lot and some of the Walmart staff's vehicles had been mistakenly towed away. She encouraged me to find a sign with their number on it, and to contact them.I found one sign posted for "apparently" the entire Walmart parking lot off of Blowing Rock Road in Boone. (pictured below), Honestly, it did look new and even though I usually visit this Walmart two to three times a week, I had never noticed it before. However, there it was, letting me know the "rules" as well as providing a phone number and address of the towing company serving this parking area. So, I called K&S Towing on 178 Westview Heights in Boone.The gentlemen who answered the phone explained that he had 14 signs around the parking lot (I tried to identify more, but I did not see any other signs), and that it would cost me $100 cash to get the vehicle released, or $120 if I used a credit card. Needless to say, I was pretty perturbed, so as I continued to enquire where i needed to go to pick up the vehicle, this person then informed me that if I didn't follow the directions he was going to provide me (which he was so graciously providing in order to help me) it would help me avoid an additional "wait fee" in case I did not make it to his holding lot in time!!Dear Walmart and Walmart management: Is this the kind of people you want to work with? Is this how you want to build community in Boone? You wan to let an inconsiderate, scheming business like this damage your reputation in the community? I thought Walmart wanted to serve the communities they did business in. Clearly, I was mistaken.By the way, when I returned to the parking lot to where I thought my vehicle was located, there was now a traveling camper located there. K&S Towing, are you going to haul that away too?

With a wide variety of things to buy from here (e.g. Legos, movies, food, pants, clothes, etc.). it's a great place to shop at. There are many isles for you to devote needless time to look at, and decide what you want to buy there. But even though it's a great variety store to shop at, it's sadly not the friendliest or kindest store to shop at. Everyone there everytime I come look either annoyed, mad, or just look like they want to leave. For every 20 workers working there that have that attitude or expression, I see 1 happy employee. Fortunately I don't come in here often, but if I do I try not to squander too much time in here. Just being around the employees who look not at all friendly wants me to get the heck out of there (I try my best not to ask where things are)!

the service was terrible. i placed an pickup order around 1:30pm, as my pickup time came around which was 7-8 pm, i received an email saying my pickup time has been delayed for 2 hours, while they close at 10. i got here around 7:10 and i was told my order is still being prepared and my wait time was 45 mins to an hour. i don’t understand how my order wasn’t complete before the pick up time.

Constantly expanding their vegan and plant-based options, especially in the frozen section. It seems like every week they have added more vegan options at affordable prices. It can get expensive buying plant-based alternatives and Walmart makes it a little easier on my wallet. Overall, a very well-run Walmart. Typically very clean and well stocked. The staff is polite and attentive. Probably the best Walmart I have been to.

An employee asked what we were looking for could he help. He stopped everything he was doing found it for us. So nice. We were in Boone and he is from Charlotte. We were from Gastonia visiting relatives. He was so nice.
