This is a great place for saltwater tank supplies, fish and coral. I came in for a cleanup crew and the owner helped me with the selection for my tank. He also helped suggest additives for algae control. He offers a great selection of coral and has frags for every budget and experience level. Would highly recommend to anyone with saltwater tank needs.

Recently under new ownership and management and I can not be more satisfied with my local fish store. If they don't have what you're looking for in-store they will place a custom order just for you to help you obtain that setup you really want. The owner Jacob has helped me set up all of my tanks and maintain the health and livelyness of my fish.

Very great store with very friendly staff! Everything is good about the store but I had to take off one star due to the betta setup they had, as its too small for them. Otherwise, lovely! I will be coming here again.

This place is awesome! Jacob was so accommodating and even helped me get a few fish to my pond on his way to work because I couldn’t come get them by the time they closed for the day. Such a great experience to have such awesome customer service. Would highly recommend Jacob and Reef Magic!

We were visiting Boone from Winston Salem (which is seriously lacking in Local Fish Stores) and enjoyed our visit. Every single fish looked as healthy as I've ever seen even in some of the top LFS in the nation. It's obviously still a work in progress, but I would be excited about a shop like this in my neighborhood. The staff working there during our visit was so friendly and very knowledgeable. She was perfect for that job!

I feel like this shop has a lot of potential. The place looks like it's still settling in, and could definitely use some work, but the fish looked healthy and it's cool to see a shop carrying unique stuff like starfish and sea urchins. Pretty neat place.

He and Noah will NOT try to sell you something you don’t need!! Very patient and always right there if you need help!! Stop by and see the progress on the remodel and check out the fish! Very happy with Reef Magic. Months ago, my wife set up a new 55 gallon tank and had a lot of trouble with it never clearing up. Recently, the new owner (Jacob) actually drove out to our house (app 30 minutes from his shop) to help diagnose the problem and now our tank is doing great and is crystal clear. Great shop!

Very nice shop upgrades ,plenty of stock except for blue damsels ,but they had plenty other choices. Joshua was very courteous ,very able to help troubleshoot my 180 Reef Tank system.

We just went in the look around, but the owner(I assume) was friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is small and a little dark, but they did have freshwater and saltwater fish. The tanks looked clean and the fish seemed like they were well taken care of. If you are a fish person, I would recommend that you go in and take a look.

I have been a customer for almost two years! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. They have a great selection that you just can't find elsewhere. This is the only place in the high country for all your fish needs!

Terrible care given to the fish in the store. Several dead fish always in the tanks and always, ALWAYS sick fish with ick or other diseases/parasites. Apstasia in almost every saltwater tank. Owner isn’t very nice and only cares about trying to make a sale. This place has great potential but great action is needed.

Don’t let reviews of the old owner detour you from coming here. The store is under new ownership and he is awesome! If he doesn’t have what your looking for he can get it. Very good guy to deal with!!

Knowledgeable staff and healthy fish. There is nothing wrong with requiring someone to bring their water to be tested for particularly sensitive and expensive fish... Do you want the fish to die and your money to be wasted? They don't want to refund your for a fish you killed by putting it in unhealthy water. Just because some of your fish tolerate it doesn't mean all of them will. Grow up.You can get better prices for equipment online, but no one's ever tried to sell me any there. By the time you consider the cost of shipping/risk of sick fish it's definitely a good value as far as fish. Gravel costs the same as it does at Walmart.

Owner is nice and knowledgeable but I have been prepared to go to his store and pay money well over a handful of times only to see a ‘will return’ sign on a locked door. For a store that is only open 6 hours a day it’s not a good idea to be gone for 2 of them!

Just bought a new tank and a pair of clownfish and the staff were very helpful and super friendly. I would highly recommend you check them out if you are looking to get into having fish!

While the fish in this establishment are beautiful, I was unable to purchase any for my home. The owner of Reef Magic is so incredibly obsessed with the level of aquatic knowledge of its potential fish parents, he neglects to see that he is running a business in SELLING fish. The fish are already in Boone, forced into a tank, far from the ocean. You might as well sell them to someone who really wants them! It is a shame I was not allowed to purchase the 2 fish I really wanted based solely on the fact he didn't know the pH levels in my tank. If I am shopping for fish then I am prepared for the fish. Sadly, I will not return.

We brought in a fish back in September and the owner was going to sell it for us. We called several times and he kept saying it was in the back and he would make room for it. Now the new owner says he knows nothing about and won't do anything, so we are just out of luck.

Wow how nice it appears on the outside. Drove an HOUR away to come here! Great business man. I'll give him that much cus he had me and my boyfriend fooled. We were excited to come to Boone once a month for fish stuff. Not only did he scam us he wouldn't fix his wrong by letting us return the product we bought. He knew we were new to saltwater and manipulated us for that.We bought the AquaFX Stingray 2 stage RO unit at 145. This product retails for under 100$ NEW.It is to be expected that a local fish store charges more but nearly $70 above the competition is price gouging, desperate, and preying on the unit informed.Through another retailer we were able to purchase the AquaFX Barracuda 4 Stage RO/DI unit for 145.Stay away from this crook!!!
