As a former retail manager this was just not it. Not only is this the type of pet store that shoves ungodly amounts of animals into cages too small for them (6+ birds in a cage too small for one), they have zero customer service awareness and so many safety violations throughout the store.The only employees who actually appeared to be working were the cashier up front and the groomers in back. There was a group of 4-5 employees standing around chatting and blocking an entire aisle.I understand that it can get boring and chatting amongst employees is fine, however the conversations should not supersede customer service. They ignored every single customer including myself and literally blocked the aisle so no one could walk through. I was looking for a couple other things and they lost sales on that because they couldn’t be bothered.One aisle had a 6-7 ft cart of random things blocking it.It was seriously very poorly managed and not somewhere I will return to purchase any pet supplies.Animal welfare is number 1 - too many fish in a tank, too many birds in a cage, all of it is slimy 1990s pet store vibe.Would not recommend to anyone.

Kristi and Katie have both done excellent grooming jobs on our cockapoo, Tadpole.. over and above the expected... He is an old guy, 13 years old, and always comes back from the groomers fresh, clean and puppy-cute.

They're awesome at what they do. Whether that be the store itself or their grooming services. The staff are always so kind and are willing to work with my hectic school/work schedule. Huge shout out to the groomers for holding my dog while I'm away at work. Keep up the great work :)

I really like this pet store. Prices are in line with competitor pet stores. Most recently was able to find the certain leash I was looking for that I could not find other places. When I have taken my dog in with me, the associates talk to him and love on him. I really like the self service dog wash that is available. I like being able to wash my dog and not have to clean my bathroom afterward. They provide the shampoo, towels, and dryer. They also have treats available to reward your fur baby after their bath. I recommend this store.

I only left 1 star because I had to. We took my dog to get groomed there and he had a hot spot. They shaved the top of his body and then said they wouldn’t do anymore because of the hotspot. So now he is walking around with his top half shaved and his bottom half the length we came in with. We asked another groomer at a different place about the hotspot and they said that they would’ve cut him with no problem. They wouldn’t wash him so we did the self service wash. We asked them to help us with the dryers and they said they would. 15 minutes later we got tired of waiting and just left. Looked over and they were standing there on their phones not doing anything. They were not helpful, left my dog looking like a mess, charged $30 and did not seem to care one bit. It was ridiculous.

Love coming here to use the self service dog wash. With my large German Shepherd, it is so easy to get him in there and cleaned good and dried. They also have excellent service with all staff.

I used Pet Supplies Plus online order service for the first time.It was very easy; they identified cost savings during the process; and pickup was seamless. I will definitely use it more, moving forward.

We had a good experience there. I can't remember the girl's name. Who helped us because it was like a month ago. Possibly Sarah, but she was very knowledgeable about the aquarium Fish and plants. I will definitely be back to pick her brain.

I buy 50 crickets but only 48 when I count them at home, this has happened multiple times... If anything you should over count your crickets, especially since you are always out of crickets... Your habitats are not suitable for veiled chameleons, you shouldn't order/sell animals which you do not have adequate habitat, or animals which are wild caught and importedn- this spreads disease and often results in the death of the animal

Absolutely love this pet shop. Tons of options for your pets. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you shop here. Especially if your buying animals. They are kept clean and treated if they get sick

Super nice staff and always an interesting assortment of fish and other critters. Good place for food for reptiles and inverts. I've gotten a few nice little koi there. Very clean and well organized store as well.

I’ve always loved coming to Pet Supplies Plus. They didn’t have any locations near me until I moved to Boone and then Hickory so I’ve only ever come here ever since moving back. The dog washing station is so convenient and well priced and I’m appreciative that they have bigger sized stalls for my large dog. They’ve been great about keeping aggressive dogs out of the store as well. Trevor Z. was particularly helpful to me the last two times i came. He helped me find a supplement my vet recommended for my dog and then when she reacted badly to it and I had lost my receipt, he was able to locate and reprint the receipt so I could get a refund and also submit a claim with it to my dogs pet insurance. The baked treats and the dog tag engraving machine are botha great addition as well, and the prices are much more comparable than at Pet Smart or PetSense. :)

Great selection of pet supplies here! I come to this location to get frozen mice for my pet snake and dog toys/treats. I have also recently been using their self-service dog wash and my pups love it! I enjoy how easy it is to use and usually get the discount bath card to keep it affordable. Their toys and treats are on the more pricey side but they have a great selection and the hours are better than most places in the area.

It's well laid out and stocked. My daughter and her friend loved to see the live animals and we sometimes stop in just to see them before we shop for groceries next door! I love the outfits they have, especially since they have them large enough for our big fur baby.

I have yet to come in this store and think “that was such a pleasant experience”. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant. I hate to generalize but seriously, for the last two years I’ve been wondering why everyone they hire is in such a horrible mood. And on a second note- their flea treatments (even the $50 option) is completely ineffective. I spent over $120 on 3 dogs flea treatments here and not a single one of them works.

Stopped by today to find the store completely renovated since the last time I was in. It’s a really nice store! The fish department has been completely updated and the tanks are pretty and clean with a great selection. The girl in the fish department was not only very knowledgeable, but really friendly and very helpful, making it a pleasurable shopping experience. Wish I got her name, she was rearranging the plants in the tanks and adding gravel but did not hesitate to help us 👍🏻

I always have a great experience shopping here. They have a solid selection of products for our canine friends - from food and treats to toys and accessories. The online ordering and pickup is also a breeze. Quick and super convenient. The hand written cards they include are also really nice. Friendly staff and great service.

Good store and great staff, however, they aren't so careful when it comes to bunny supplies. Many of the threats they market to bunnies are quite unhealthy, as well the litter boxes. If you own a bunny, they do have some great stuff; you just have to be a bit cautious is all. Very good staff.

My kids and I went in to get some new fish tanks and supplies. The store was clean and the prices were competitive, but the best aspect were the employees. They were happy to take the time to answer any questions we had, and when we left, my daughter commented on how nice the staff were. Highly recommend!!
